« Comfortable hotel in a convenient location »

I was given the handicap room which had a lot of space in it. However, there were also disadvantages of that, such as no hair dryer and no shower "wall". Other than that, the room was very pleasant, never heard any noise from outside, and it had a lovely view of the park across the street. The breakfast is excellent, with a wide selection of cold cuts, muesli and more standard items like egg dishes.

I already stayed in this hotel some years ago. Compared to that time, there have been a lot of things improved with regards to the room since the last time I stayed in the hotel. There was a good WIFI connection which is important. I am disabled and I was staying in the adapted room. If I can mention one point of improvement is to put the shaving mirror on wheelchair height, rather than normal person standing height. Food was very good. Breakfast was varied. Overall a very good experience.

The hotel is good but the rooms below street level shouldn't be used. It's not nice to have a view over car tires from the room window...

Still the best hotel in Ostrava. Room temperature is hard to control and why does housecleaning only appear after 6pm to clean the room? Great breakfast and simple, but effective gym facilities.

The rooms were clean and nice to look at. Beds were comfortable. There was always an employee available to answer questions or to help in general. The breakfast is really tasty and well presented. The Winestone restaurant was a complement to the overall brilliant experience I had. Mercure is my preferred hotel in Ostrava.

I was pleased the staff was able to honor my request to move to a room on a higher floor after my first night on floor 0. That original room was right by a crosswalk and I had trouble sleeping due to the noise. I didn't receive a welcome drink voucher this trip. I'm not sure if that program was discontinued for gold members?

Everything was fine, the room was nice and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The staff was also nice and friendly. The only minor "minus" was that, due to availability (I guess), we received a room fitted for people with disabilities, so the bathroom was a bit difficult to use. Otherwise, everything was great.

Dear Mr. Sic, your hotel was recommended by a good friend of mine, with whom I joint your hotel for my stay at Ostrava. I booked a privileged room and expect a privileged service. 1. On check in the receptionist (only a trainee was available) could not explain the location of the lounge, maybe in 4 or 4th floor was her information. I am only a trainee I am new, and I cannot know all. :( 2. The lounge service was rather bad, on both days I have to call the reception to arrange a refill of some food, snacks, sandwiches and drinks. At the second day no more Organina was available all day. No regular check for cleaners and if all is completed seams to be effected. 3. The first day the minibar in room was not filled - it was incl. in the price, but not available. 4. The prices for a glass of wine in your restaurant is really high, 300 CZK for one glass, when the bottle will be charged with a little over 700 CZK is real amazing high. 5. On Check out day, reception calls and requested leaving the room at exactly 12 (noon) I said I will prepare and come down, the receptionist really rude says, "its already 12 - check out time" for a privilege service I did not see that as a normal way to treat a client coming back to your place. 6. I made a online check in and git SMS that key will be available on arrival, but than the receptionist was looking in your system and changed the room as she said by operational reason, OK maybe that right but why it was not done oil advance to shorten check in time? Also a CC was requested, but this data I also entered in the booking, is this a normal process? 7. The house keeping was very late, what I do not expect for a privilege service. After 14 no service was done, so I had to look for the house keeping and request to make the room, first than it was made. Only very positive I can advise you, the guys in the breakfast restaurant and the breakfast itself, that was what I expect in service. I am not aware if this is the Mercure way of treating clients, or the Accor way, but I more often have guests at Berlin, for whom I recommend the Sofitel at Gendarmenmarkt and there the friendliness is much better than on your hotel. Under this condition I have to see, if your hotel will be my selection for my next stay at Ostrava again, I see there are some other hotels available too. I only heard you was on holiday, or is that the way your staff work during your absence? Looking forward to any response from your side. Best regards, V. R.
