Staff were friendly despite being a local we were given the same courtesy as the foreign guests something that is not available in all Fiji Tourism Industry including Airline services. The breakfast were delicious. Room conditions very clean and spacious.

Firstly, I wish to say that ALL staff with whom I met were most pleasant and friendly. I have no criticism of staff at all. However, my stay (5 nights) was spoiled by a failure of the hotel to provide a suitably equipped Accessible Room for my use. As part of the booking process, the booking agent went to a lot of trouble to communicate with the hotel that I required an accessible room. Your website clearly indicates that this is not a problem. The agreement was that AT THE VERY LEAST, the bathroom would be equipped with suitable shower chair, and balance bars were discussed. Upon my arrival, none of this in place. On pointing this out to desk staff they seemed puzzled over the request, and clearly, had no knowledge of the prior arrangements. After SEVERAL requests, a make-shift garden setting chair was provided, which although not what was expected, was all that I could use. Using the room in this way marred my entire stay, and I was most disappointed. I would like to think that you would not treat future guests in this way.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. I was pleased to see that your interactions with the staff were good and that you did find them to be friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have properly equipped accessible rooms. However, there was an abject failure on our part to provide a proper shower stool for you to use. I am most embarrassed by that and we have now purchased a suitable stool for use where requested. When we do a refurbish of the rooms we will definitely make some of them accessible with wider doors, better shower access and balance bars. However, I am unable to confirm when this will be done. We have requested this to our owners and await their decision. We appreciate your sharing your concerns and I again apologise that your stay was marred by the hotel not being geared up for your stay. I can promise you that we have learned from this and we will be better prepared for future guests that need our assistance. Sincerely Tim Tim Dearsley General Manager

The staff, from the porter, front desk, kitchen staff everyone welcomed you with a warm smile. The room needs a little updating, especially the bathroom. For a modern hotel the bathroom seems a little outdated.

Really great staff, good food and comfortable rooms. Air-conditioning worked well in room and was quiet. Lovely view from room and hotel is located in a quite area of town. Only one complaint not specifically related to the hotel – the amount of rubbish and plastic in the neighbouring streams and streets is a major problem. Plastic junk drifting past the hotel is not great in such a beautiful surrounding. This factor is really off putting in going there for anything else other than business reasons.

Unfortunately, the locals tend to throw rubbish away and do not respect the environment the way that I am used to back in New Zealand. When it rains the rivers wash the rubbish down into the sea and this is what you experienced. The Government is trying to do something about it as it is very much an education thing. Personally, I have introduced measures at the hotel to assist but this is not an easy fix. Really bad, as bed was not made, milk in the fridge was drunk by some one, bathroom was leaking, tap was loose, aircon even was licking, i was in room 303, receptionist was too dominating on us for some reason, not well maintain hotel. Spoiling the name of novotel.

was good. Staff were friendly, food was good (although one of the nights took 90 minutes to get my food). Was disappointed in the amount of rubbish floating past the lagoon at times, however this is Fiji wide problem.

You provide more then i expected for the room and hospitality but just one minor issue that can be looked at. This issue is waiting at the reception for organizing the room. To me personally i had a long flight and tired so needed a rest, have to wait for almost 2 hours for the room key. So the room is booked in advance and please know the arrival time and as soon as the guest arrive greet him or her then give them the key. Sorry if this hurts but as a brother from Vanuatu i want us to be better and grow to another level in tourism. Bula
