« Convenient, comfortable, great breakfast »

I stayed in room 206. There was an issue with the air conditioner which was quickly sorted by maintenance. The room had a funny smell when I arrived. I initially thought it was body odour but because it hung around for my whole stay I believe it might have been paint or glue residue. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. I didn't use the pool but it looked enticing from my balcony.

« A treat at bay but not without flaws »

Location was perfect, at the bay. Small islands can be seen from the breakfast table, very scenic but there lies the issue, i was given garden view room but its proximity to main road makes it too noisy. Room service is not up to the mark. Only on last day room service was done properly.

The check in was easy as usual, nothing very different than usual service. We appreciate a lot the upgrade receive it, but then I can imagine the kind of room we book, since the one we were upgraded it was a small one and have the basics for the price we booked. The staff, well, this is fantastic, all of them were fantastic, always keen to help and service you.

Our stay was quite nice. They provided us the courtesy of early check-in which was much appreciated. Additionally, the rooms were very clean and everything was in good condition including the AC. Great and I look forward to my future stays. The only thing I was not happy with was the running machine in the gym. The belt was quite narrow and slipped a bit as I walked. I would not run on it due to the slipping.

There seems to be a disjoint between the Accorhotels online booking system and the actual hotel reservation system. One of my reservations was somehow lost and took the hotel staff 15 minutes to resolve it. Once in, everything is fine.

Room and staff were all lovely and friendly. Only thing of incidence was a garden salad with chicken I ordered at the restaurant, after waiting an hour with no-one coming to let me know how my order was doing I asked to see how it was doing and it hadn't been started - I was dining alone. The waitress did apologise and said they were serving a big table which was the reason my food was delayed (although working in hospitality you always serve solo, couple diners with priority). I then asked for the food to be sent to my room when it was ready. When it came it was the correct food but I'd been billed the wrong amount (ie charged for Ceaser Salad with Chicken instead of Garden Salad, I signed the room charge without looking initially but when I reviewed it I noticed the discrepancy which was about $17 difference - from memory around double the price - so I had to go back to the restaurant to fix it up). Everyone was lovely about it and it was all just communication errors so I wasn't upset or anything, but it was just annoying to wait one hour and a half in total for a garden salad and chicken and then be charged the wrong amount which just took more unnecessary time on everyone's behalf to correct. Saying all the above though I would still stay at a Novatel again as it was just a simple error
