« Amazing service, friendly stuff. »

The hotel is small as all spaces in Paris. However, the bedrooms are comfortable, extremely clean and preserved. Stuff is super friendly, and breakfast was quite substantious and varied.

« Very poor quality considering the price »

I expect a certain standard from Ibis hotels, which I was not able to find here. I chose to book a room at Ibis Styles, hoping it would be an upgrade versus a normal Ibis hotel. I ended paying up ca. 200 euro for a very tiny and poorly equipped room. I understand this is Paris and space is limited, but I do expect too feel a bit less claustrophobic for this price. The worst of all however was the quality of the bed. I don't think I ever experienced a mattress which was sagging like this in the middle. I had almost no support when I was laying in the middle of the mattress. It felt like the bed was used by an elephant for a couple of years. I ended up trying to sleep on the sides of the mattress, only to wake up again when I had ended up in the middle again. Something which repeated ca.30 times during the night. I was very happy that I had booked only 1 night in this hotel. Breakfast is simple, but OK. No big comments (either good or bad) regarding the hotel's breakfast. I would also recommend to foresee more iron-boards. There seemed to be only one in the hotel and it was always in use by another guest when I asked for it.

Room clean, but very small. Could hear next door room when the water was run. Shower was just big enough to get into. Position was good to walk to shops or Opera. Breakfast was fine. Very difficult Metro line to connect to.

People working in hotel were nice however the hotel itself- I would say you could improve. I couldn't sleep as I heard everything what was happening in next room. Slamming doors, etc. Balcony- you could yjust go to your neighbour next door- not very smell. AND I didn;t like the smell of the carpets in my room- made me feel sick. I think if you would change a bit to more modern place 9without carpets and put soundproof walls//doors it would be perfect.

The people I spoke to were lovely. The location was great. The room was pretty basic but clean and had everything you needed. The shower is tiny-I feel like Accor hotels in Paris are competing to find the smallest shower in the world, I know bathrooms and rooms in Paris are small but you should be able to get in to the cubicle-maybe it's better to be doing wet rooms.

I owe a booking at Mercure Opera Lafayette but, due to an issue, I was sent here at Ibis. The first thing which gave a really negative impression was the request to pay the invoice immediately after the check-in. Never happened in more than 15 years of business trips. Then, considering that I was moved from a 4* to a 3* hotel, same rate and conditions, I was supposing to have a more comfortable room than the one I had (Room 50). Narrow, really small toilet, shower without closing door. Another negative impression I got from the amenities provided in the room. It is pretty much standard in all 3* hotels to find hair dryer, but I didn't find it!! Finally, I complained with my company travel agency and - as a result of the complaint management - I received from the duty manager of the Mercure the proposal of 20€ (!!!) to be spent in my next stay. Wow!! This is not client caring, this is really the worst way to treat a customer, at least someone who is travelling for business purposes. And by the way, I will never select any hotel from Accor chain

Everyone was super friendly. Sad the room window was not closing well. Worse was fact I payed 25€ per suitcase to keep it for 6hours after chexkout!!!! No upgrade, no drink, no benefits

Good location being in the Opera area of Paris and near Grand Boulevards metro allowing easy transportation around the city and near many restaurants and bard on the various boulevards wither side of the property.The hotel offers a good breakfast and the rooms are ok with the exception of the wardrobe space - 2 people staying for 4 days and there is only a narrow slot with 8 hangers with only 1 shelf above. The hotel was undergoing some redecoration during our stay. Unfortunately the paint fumes in both the lift and the corridors was appalling, although the fumes did not enter the room. I would still recommend this hotel though but just be aware of its limitations.

« Not the usual standards one would expect from an Ibis Hotel »

Booking: Standard room with double bed for 4 nights Sunday Evening - Greeted by a friendly young man, Pedro. Did request a quiet room during online check in, asked again during arrival. Was told there was only one quiet room left. Room much smaller than expected, also there were two SINGLE beds pushed together, rather than a Double Bed, as per booking email. Monday Morning. 11.00 a.m to 11:30 a.m After finishing a late breakfast I went back to my room to plan my day and take a shower. There was a knock on the door and simultaneously the door was opened, I did not even have time to respond. The (female) house keeper walked in whilst I was NAKED. Tuesday. Left room early so no major drama. Wednesday Morning. 8:29 a.m There was a knock on the door, I responded by shouting 'hello', obviously the housekeeper was used to knocking and simultaneously opening the door at the same time. I was semi naked but luckily was covered by the duvet. 1:00 p.m (ish) After lunch I decided to go back to the hotel and take a shower, to freshen up. When I got back the room was already made, so great, I thought to myself, no more unexpected intrusions. After shower the door was opened, WITHOUT a single knock on the door, and yes, I was NAKED. The lady looked like a front of house staff, and not a housekeeper. I thought to myself 'What's the point of having a front door if people just walk into your Room?'. At that moment I simply had enough and went down to the reception and asked for the manager. I was greeted by Celine, the duty manager. She was very apologetic, and sympathised with me. And made assurances that this is not normal (When I read the reviews the day before my arrival one guest complained about similar intrusions). Anyway, Celine then offered to put points on my Accor Loyalty Card, which was a nice gesture on her behalf. She handled the situation brilliantly, I have to say. Overall, the (front of house) staff were friendly and very professional. Also, it is worth pointing out the room wasn't cleaned to the usual standard, when I opened the wrapping plastic for the disposable cup I accidentally drop a fragment on the bathroom floor, surprisingly, it was still there 4 DAYS later, until the day I checked out. Although my bed was made daily, the bedding wasn't changed for the duration of my stay. I know different hotels have different policies. Normally it would be changed every other day. In a nutshell the location was great with friendly front of house staff, but let down by the house keeping and the general conduct of the house keepers.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels, and unfortunately this was the worst experience i have had with AccorHotels group. We had multiple occasions where the room service staff entered our room without knocking or announcing they were coming into the room. This happened 3 times on one day. On one of the days our room was serviced, it was only partly serviced. Our towels were taken but not replaced. As we got back late to the hotel, we were forced to use our own travel towels and the hotel hand towels. Overall we were not happy with our stay.

« Far below expectarions »

I was promised over the Phone when I booked a family room but I got 2 separate rooms. Hotel was dirty, the reception lady instead of apologizing advised me that I should have contacted the hotel directly (I booked over the customer service line of Accor Hotels). On top there were renovation works going on during our stay and it was very noisy since 8 am in the morning. By far one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had!

Very friendly and helpful staff (especially with luggage storage), decent breakfast, but the lift did not reach my floor (floor 6) and the stairs to my floor were uncarpeted due to refurbishment.

Check in was not organized. Our room was not ready at check in time which was frustrating given we had two young children and had flown all night. There is no reason why a room should not be ready at check in time. Otherwise the room was ok. Ac worked fine. Breakfast was good but not ready on time the last two days...and the front desk staff were very kind (especially Pedro).
