Most seamless experience. Comfortable room, staff made us feel as in home. Italian restaurant brought to us real feeling of Italian food. Live music at Belgian Cafe and food with beer was real enjoi. One of nice coincidences was staying staff of Cirque du Soleil.

Great room. Very quiet and clean. None the less ; when i spoke to someone about a long term stay I.e. check in sunday and check out thursday For 6 months I did not find any cooperation and as a matter of fact it seemed to me that they were trying to make it difficult. So i hope you provide your sales team with extra training on how to win over guests. Thanks.

« Good introduction to Abu Dhabi »

The Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate is a longish taxi ride from the Corniche and even further from the Louvre Museum but it has its compensations. The hotel is rather isolated as new developmenets in the Abu Dhabi Gate area are ust getting started eg the nearest ATM is in a filling stattion 500 metres away. BUT the hotel has a good Italian style restaurant (Gabbiano) with friendly and helpful staff. The Belgian Beer cafe has both a good selection of beers and good food. Top marks to the staff.

Good facilities in the room, comfortable bed. Wish the pillows were rectangular rather than square, and could be softer. One of the bed side lights didn't work, but not a problem and is for info. only. Very helpful reception staff, as well as the concierge, housekeeping and gift shop. Helpful and friendly staff in the restaurant. But, the buffet is not nearly as good in the Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate as in the Novotel Al Bustan, which is much better for all courses and all meals.

We are Canadian Expats who often have family visiting. We tour them around Dubai and Abu Dhabi and although trying other hotels in AUH, we always find ourselves back at Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate. It is clean, bright, impeccable service, a beautiful view of the water surrounding and a lovely breakfast area with good quality food. And of course, all for a very affordable price! The area is also central you're close to the Grand Mosque and close to Emirates Palace, the Corniche and other popular tourist areas. We were checked in and out by Mr. Kolitha Mudiyanselage, who upgraded our room and was a pleasure to converse with. Thank you, Kolitha, for the great service, friendliness and professionalism! Keep up the good job! You will definitely see our family again! :)

« Novotel has just bigger rooms. IBIS is my reccomendation »

I was upgraded from IBIS to Novotel. Only the rooms were bigger. Unfortunately: - No hot water (alarmed to reception, but only tap was fixed, shower not). - Toilet flushing malfunctioned - need to be pressed twice - Breakfast the same.

Everything was quite good, but there are few things that could be improved: 1. There was no non-smoking rooms available, and people from reception were convincing me that the room has been refreshed, what ever that means. During the stay smoke was present especially from the bathroom ventilation. 2. Breakfast is almost the same as in IBIS which is a next door 3 star hotel. 3. The slippers are too small. 4. The selection of TV channels is very poor (I was looking for some music actually, but have not found anything useful).

It was ok. Couldn’t find our reservation when we arrived which isn’t good when you book direct, room was ok but heavily perfumed, gym very good, location useful for airport, Belgian bar excellent (but expensive). We had one problem with our room that the toilet didn’t flush- they fixed it in around 1 hour but when you’re only there for 10 hours in total, that wasn’t great.
