All the staff was willing to help and always did it with a smile. They provide us with answers to what we where looking for in the city. Our bedroom was clean, but we would have liked to havea slightly more spacious room. A coffee maker and mini bar would have been also great.

I stayed at Merida (Mexico) for over a week. I have previously stayed at Ibis hotels in Europe. The hotel building and room was to the standard I expected and fine, but the staff made this stay very uncomfortable. When I arrived there were nobocy that spoke English, not a pleasant start. Unfortunately it got worse when I got very ill while there. Travelling solo I relied on the hotel to contact a doctor should my condition worsen further, but again nobody understood English enough to help me or simply communicate. I am shocked that an international hotel chain like Ibis has no standard protocol for when its guests get extremely ill. Rather than a comforting knowledge that the receptionist would have my back, if my illness detrioated, I felt very much stressed by being at a hotel where basic conversations in English wasn't possible. I do not recommend this hotel to non-Spanish speakers and I will think twice before staying with Ibis again.

We have two hospital around our hotel and a doctor who cam move to the hotel. I promise you that I will investigate to know what happened. We stayed 5 nights--comfortable if small room; breakfast ($5 US a person) wasn't that great in quality or variety. No pool or amenities, but pretty cheap rate.

This is an absolutely fantastic HIE. The friendliness and professionalism of the employees are remarkable. The employees are hard working and gracious. The room was spotless and I love the availability of nearby outlets by the bed. Keep the great work going. I will be back in March (D.V.)

« Very Basic, but Clean Hotel. »

Professional check-in. The room was quite small but very clean. Since the water makes one sick, a free bottle of water in the room should be part of one's stay. Since I had booked 3 separate stays within 5 days, I regretted not being able to cancel the rest of my stay. I did eat supper and it was very delicious.

« Staff was very responsive but the hotel was noisy at times. »

The Staff was responsive and helpful whenever we asked for anything. The only issue we had was that some repairs were being done on the floor above us which was very noisy while we tried to rest. We reported it and the noise lowered but it was still there.

« Good quality but with some inconveniences »

The Good: Installations were ok, price was awesome, personnel treatment was kind. Location is the best. Not to far from the center but close to POI. The Bad: Personnel were too slow to answer some request, at front desk sometimes they seem angry. The Worst: Street in front of the hotel was in repair, taxis did not reach the hotel due to this and sometimes we had to walk with our baby and stroller close to the hotel so we can jump into the taxi.
