Great hospitality, but the rooms need more work. 529 and 531 had air conditioning issues, 529 had drainage issues as well.

Overall stay was good, my only concern is the area facing the beach. As a guest of the hotel, one should not be restricted to not sit at a particular area so that the hotel can charge you a bomb.. we are a family of 4, and wanted to just enjoy the sea breeze and view.. there’s a sea facing area which has been made into a bar, to sit there one needs to pay 1200 per person.. there’s a grass area right in front of the bar, and the management doesn’t even allow the guests to sit there.. it was ridiculous.. To top it, the food and drinks are exorbitantly priced.. you should not be charging your guests a fee to sit in the hotel property.. I was highly disappointed!!

Frankly speaking this is the most unfortunate stay I ever stay during my trips. No proper house keeping poor pool maintenance.

Hello , The over all experience was okay . Personally , I found the room bathrooms were not up to the mark of cleanliness even after advising the housekeeping . The Resturant Bageecha , u need to consider Ala cart menu option.

Overall a cozy hotel, not much to do, except the beach. Property location of course great. Sunday brunch acceptable. Thanks to the chef to take pains for providing us with Gluten free food. Room was decent, dinner was fine. Breakfast was average. Staff was warm. Unfortunately I was at the Taj Mahal Palace a week ago, so maybe the difference in general impacted my approach to the rating. The hospitality in general was fine.

Disappointed from the beginning

Arrival: My experience at Novotel Mumbai was a disappointed one from the very beginning. The airport shuttle which as supposed to pick me up was over 45 minutes late and while I was told that this was due to my international flight into Mumbai 2 hours late in arriving the arrival time would have been updated accordingly and Novotel should have planned the airport shuttle accordingly. Check in / Check out: Check in took approximately 20 minutes as the front desk was busy catering to a large group that had booked multiple rooms for what seemed to be wedding event being held at the hotel. Upon check in I was informed by the cashier that they would place a hold of 50,000 Rs. On my credit card for incidental charges and I clearly informed her that I would in all probability pay with another credit card or cash at checkout. She assured me that this was only a temporary hold (which I completely understand is common for a hotel to do) however upon checkout I was informed by the checkout cashier that the amount as erroneously charged by the cashier to the credit card and there was nothing that could be done for me. I asked for the manager and duty manager Tejal informed me that they would be able to process a refund to my credit card and that I could pay them in either cash or an alternate credit card which I did. It has now been 10 days and I have yet to see the refund to my original card. Novotel has essentially charged me twice for my room stays. During check-in the front desk representative did not even bother to explain to me the benefits included with my stay or anything about the hotel at all. I had to walk back to the desk and ask her all the relevant questions. Room: I found a digital tape recorder in the hotel safe which I can only assume was left there by a previous guest. I turned it in and hopefully the hotel has contacted the previous guest to have it promptly returned. The room esthetically was fine however housekeeping failed to clean it properly as there was quite a bit of tape that was hanging from the ceiling and seemed like the previous guests of the room may have had some sort of party there. Housekeeping also took away my robe on the first day when they changed the bed sheets and never replaced it with a clean one even though I asked for a robe every day. whenever housekeeping replaced the towels, they kept 1 on a counter however the other was kept draped over the wall of the tub which touches the tub floor and is not appropriate for hygiene purposes. Spa: I went to the floor where the spa was to be located and had to ask 3 different people where the spa was until the 4th one finally informed me the spa was closed for renovations. All in all while the hotel staff appears to be very friendly and helpful their efficiency and training across the board is sub-par.

I have been staying with you since last 5-6 years in June. This time I could notice slight downgrade of your service as I could not see the Dental and Shaving kit which used to be always there in the room. Room Footwear was also missing this time. Is this done as a policy across your hotels or this was done as I am a member of The Accor group.

Went to celebrate Anniversary. While booking from make my trip by mistakenly I booked twin bed room. Then after having a word with the receptionist the room was immediately changed to king size bed room. There was towel and cake arrangement as well for our Anniversary. Room was good with lovely interiors. Location was awesome too. Overall a pleasant stay.
