The courtesy level of the staff can be very much improved. There are definitely bugs inside the bed, I could not sleep the whole night. Lounge area should be more guest friendly.

« One of the best hotels in Mumbai, but service can be better »

This was my 5th or 6th stay with this hotel and as always, it feels like home when you enter this property. The view of the Juhu beach from the deck as well as the room rejuvenates every tried cell of the body. Will certainly be staying again with this hotel. This time however the house-keeping service was a big let down. We called for 2 bottles of water (to room no. 226) at about 12.30 am and had to wait almost 2 hours, along with repeated phone calls. On the first two follow up calls to the house-keeping, we were told that the housekeeping person had been sent and we could expect it anytime, however no one turned up for the next one hour. on the third follow up call at about 2.15 am, we were told that apparently the bottles had been kept outside the room as our room was on DND. This was completely false and irresponsible, as our room was not on DND and I had kept the door wide open to let the smoke out. Finally the house keeping person arrived with water while on the Third call with house keeping manager. I informed the same to the duty manager at the time of my check out and by that time she couldn't do much but apologise. This was completely unexpected from a hotel where I have had several stays in the past and which boasts of being a flagship hotel of Accor group in Mumbai. It may be a one off incident, but please take a note of this and do the needful as it reflects poorly on the hotel. Regards, Prateik

There was no cooling in the air conditioning and after various complaints there was no solution. it was similar in both the rooms we booked. highly dissatisfied and will never step in again.

PATHETIC... DISAPPOINTED... NOVOTEL SHOULD SHUT DOWN. YOU GUYS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF CHARGING EQUIVALENT TO THAT OF TAJ AND ITC. WE WERE WARNED BY MANY, BUT WE SOMEHOW LANDED UP TRUSTING THE BRAND AND CHOSE NOVOTEL JUHU.. JUST TO REALISE THAT NOVOTEL IS THE WORST PLACE TO BE IN MUMABI. (1) ROOM THAT WAS CONFIRMED ON EMAIL WAS NOT PROVIDED WHILE CHECKING IN; (2) THE ROOM THAT WAS EVENTUALLY PROVIDED DIDNT HAVE A WORKING TELEVISION, THE STUDY TABLE LIGHTS DIDNT WORK, THEY CLAIMED IT TO BE A SMOKING ROOM BUT HAD NO ASH TRAYS, THEY WERE NO DUST BINS IN THE ENTIRE ROOM, THE WASHROOM WASNT PROPERLY FLUSHED, AND THE ROOM SMELLED OF PESTICIDES. (3) WHEN MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS WERE MADE, WE WERE SHIFTED TO A NEW ROOM. IT WAS DISGUSTING THAT THE HOTEL DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO CLEAN THE NEW ROOM BEFORE LETTING US MOVE IN. THE DUSTBIN IN THE WASHROOM CONTINUED TO HAVE THE TRASH (INCLUDING MEDICAL TRASH) USED BY THE PREVIOUS OCCUPANTS. (4) THE PEOPLE AT THE RECEPTION ARE UNTRAINED, ILLITERATE, GOOD FOR NOTHING IDIOTS. EITHER THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND 'HOSPITALITY' OR MAYBE THEY HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED BY THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT TO BEHAVE LIKE RETARDS;

Everything was good except the breakfast. The restraunt was unable to handle the orders for the breakfast from the customers. The aloo paratha and paneer paratha was over by 10:10 AM. When I requested for the parathas the person taking care of the live counter replied that aloo is over ! This is not the kind of answer we accept from a five star hotel.

I had a long waiting at the check-in, there is no a proper handling at it. The Hotel room is looking old, not maintained and apparently dirty. Pity, location is very good, the nearby Sun & Sand despite older is definitely more decent and better maintained. I had a breackfast and it was good despite even the breackfast room need to be renovated / cleaned ! I am travelling for business and I need a room clean with a little bit of welcome touch ! That's all I am again in Juhu Beach in a couple if days but at the same rate I am staying at Marriot !!

This property is deteriorating day by day. The bath room fitting are not maintained to the level that it reminds me of my days in 90's when I used to stay in budget hotels. The check in staff is too slow and lacks the warmth of welcome. Also did not prepare invoice as demanded even though I wrote on check in documents. Later promised to send me over email but. It received till date. Somebody should focus over all else this would not be the place which deserves to be NOVOTEL anymore!

Major issue was with housekeping , the linen and the pillow cover seemed to be used by guest who stayed earlier and as I checked in around 0130.. and had to use the room for less than 9 hours i compromised .....

Kept on hold from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm for check in. As soon I entered room it was shabby not even be sheet was arranged. Someone had smoked in room. Next day asked for dental kit your executive confirmed to send immediately however after 45 min when I called back I came to know kit was out of stock.. I DIDN'T EVEN I FOR MED FOR SAME???? Is this the way NOVOTEL operate?

Took too long to check in. If potential guest does not have booking confirmation number but there are rooms available, guest should be able to check in straight away. Room rates are too expensive for what you get. Lighting in bathroom is deficient. Tap is installed under the mirror frame and is difficult to use. The faucet is too close to the sink so it is hard to wash your hands and face while keeping water in the sink and not on the benchtop. The tap leaked and had stains around it. Overall cleanliness of hotel was good. Hotel should have an atm if guests are expected to pay for services in cash. Quality of room service food was good and delivered in a timely manner. Lounge service was excellent as was the concierge. Lounge could not get volume on the TV which was disappointing. Made multiple calls to the spa and to guest services, was told I would be called back in 10 minutes. None of the calls were returned. This is sub-standard service for this hotel. Would have liked more information in the room about the spa services and cost, lounge timings, location of things, etc. Was put in a car with Novotel driver who did not know where he was going. For someone who does not know Mumbai or speak the language this is daunting and unacceptable. Please consider GPS/google maps for drivers.

We had a great suite and a connecting room which created a huge apartment-style ambience. Beautiful facility, clean, cool, and friendly atmosphere. All family members immensely enjoyed the huge spread of the buffet breakfast and spent time lounging in the pool. Hotel staff were extremely nice and patient with us especially one of the nights when we repeatedly requested different items such as ice buckets, mattresses, cleaning of trash, etc.
