« Great hotel, exceeded my expectations especially for the price. »

Hotel was great, very clean even though there were quite a few dogs (apparently there was a dog show nearby that weekend). The staff were really helpful and friendly, I was staying on my own with my two younng grandchildren, one 3 years and the other 8 months so it was quite challenging especially at meal times. The breakfast was superb, I thought we would only be getting continental and was pleasantly surprised with the hot food as well, my grandson loved the scrambled eggs. The room was basic but adequate which was what I expected and exactly the same as in the photos online. The bathroom was clean and the shower was spacious and powerful. My only negative comment would be that the single beds were a bit hard, got used to it on the second night though. Overall it was a really good hotel, great staff, nice food and value for money. Thank you :)

I was told that was not possible and subsequently given 3 different quotes by 3 members of staff ,,and finally told 2 nights for 2 people in a double roombed inc breakfeast on 1st morning only was over £194,, I was very unhappy with the confusing and conflicting information. Really, pleased with our room, very clean and well presented. Air conditioning was excellent. Didn’t like the plastic spoons and we could have done with a few more sachets of tea and coffee. Also missed a hand towel, but for the price we paid, I can’t complain!

« Efficient, functional, funky and fun »

We enjoyed the quiet closing doors, efficient, clean room service, brilliant aircon, view from the room (we like high up, facing the field) and spacious parking. Staff were friendly, polite and a good 'distance' from customer, neither too gushing or too complacent. We like simple efficiency and got it. Geographically an excellent location too. We booked breakfast most days which was good and tabkes were cleared in a timely manner. Lift and door key a brilliant idea, so too the utility bags if we were not to be disturbed. With the amount of guests coming in and out, coaches too, we thought everything went very smoothly. Enjoyed the wooden floors as we feel they clean easily. We noticed dogs are allowed and one of us is very allergic. If carpets were in a room a dog had been in and we then entered that room it would have been awful. This is avoided (usually) with panelled floors. Thanks to all.

Whilst the room was very clean and had everything I needed, the décor was surprisingly stark and basic compared to similar priced chain hotels I have stayed in. It was also very noisy - I could hear everything in neighbouring rooms and the corridor.

Comfortable and clean room. A good night's sleep and very reasonable value. We opted for the full English breakfast but thought it quite poor. Undercooked very fatty bacon, tinned mushrooms, solid scrambled eggs etc. Would stay again but find breakfast elsewhere.

I am very dissopinted as i paid an extra £40.00 for the 2 nights. This was for my 2 dogs to stay. I accept to pay and extra fee as it takes a bit more cleaning re the floor after dogs have stayed. But after staying I feel this is very over priced and what did i get for that money ? Nothing really and it doesnt cost 40.00 to give the housekeeper a bit longer to clean. Which by the way they didnt even do very well. As the floor was dirty when we came back from our day out. The dogs had jumped on the bed during the night so yes there were some footprints on the bed. But the bed was made with all the dirty sheets!!! They hadn't changed them dispite there being marks on them. Yes i know that if someone is staying you treat the room as a stay and make the bed with the same sheets. But not if theu are obviously dirty? The bathroom had only 2 towels (1each) no hand towels.

Welcoming and helpful reception staff. Accommodation clean and more than adequate for one nights stay. Had booked breakfast which was well presented and enjoyable. Plenty of staff on duty to check out etc. I do feel an anti-slip mat should be an automatic inclusion in the bathroom although I appreciate they are available from reception.
