« A very good place to stay. It had all the perks but modest and efficient »

The check in process was easy, the rooms were very adequate and functional and clean. The food in the restaurant was good and the meeting room worked very well. An overall good experience. The pool area for dining and meeting was very relaxing and well designed. A very peaceful place to rest.

« frustration due to inexperienced staff who speak very little english »

rooms are noisy and aircon slow to cool room, dinner meal is expensive relative to the very ordinary menu, drinks are very expensive, most staff speak zero English even though you are hosting guests from many international countries and English is the most spoken language in the world, reception staff are rude and aggressive

I have stayed, for the last 43 years that I have been visiting Madagascar, at almost every good hotel in Antananarivo, including the previous Ibis Hotel, now Hotel du Louvre. This year I chose the Ibis Hotel Ankorondrano due to its proximity to the Airport. With the new road, it takes about ten to fifteen minutes to go from Ivato to the Ibis. This hotel is by far the best Ibis Hotel I ever stayed and one of the best, above 3 stars hotels, in Antananarivo. One of the usual problems of the Ibis hotels is the small-sized rooms. Well, it does not apply here. The room is adequately large. Adding the above the standard amenities and the beautiful garden with the piscine make this hotel an oasis in the center of the city.

The hotel met my expectations as a business person. WiFi worked well (appreciated!). Breakfast was good and on par for the class of hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just one thing: a thick duvet isn't really suitable to the Madagascan climate. A thinner cover/sheet as an option would be good.

The staff are very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food is of good quality and very well presented. The only negative is the size of the single beds, at 6'1 when you roll over you try your best not to fall out of the bed.
