Rooms are comfortable, staff is courteous, location brilliant, food average. However the bothering thing was air conditioning in the conference hall in particular and hotel lobbies / corridors in general. Have seen windows open, to be honest had not asked about.

My parents and I had a pleasant stay. We have had a warm welcome from the guest relations staff (Myriam). The rooms were up to standards and met our expectations. Overall the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I have only few comments as constructive criticism as I noticed few things having had experience in 5 star hotels around the world: 1) when I called on Sunday 9 Sept (afternoon) to ask for reservations, I was told it was closed and had to call back on Monday 10. This is unacceptable, if the staff is unavailable, the call should be redirected to central reservations. 2) the breakfast buffet was limited: the hot section has a limited variety of food (in some cases, we had separate containers with the same food), also the food was cold. Crepes and waffles should be served warm; ideally served on demand. There should be more self-service on juices and coffee and teas. 3) the evening service from housekeeping staff should refresh the room not just the bathroom.

Staff are very friendly. Room was not made up on two separate days when I returned from work. Mini bar was not stocked at all for first 3-4 days despite me asking for it to be done. When it was eventually “stocked” there were no crisps. Every time I stay I have to constantly ask for laundry bags which I find incredibly frustrating as it is very difficult for some reason to actually get one. Why are they not replaced when the laundry is returned?

« Great hotel »

It was very good, although we had a couple of bad experiences with staff. Bell boy and receptionists were kind of lazy, the bell boy saw us coming from the distance (we parked far away) with our luggage and pretended he didn´t see us until we were at the door; the receptionist started talking to the others as if we were not waiting... things like that make you feel a lot of things except for welcomed. Check out was also a little slow, not as slow as check in, but not as fast as expected. Also, the wifi stopped working like a thousand times, not good.

over my stay I got very sick from food poisoning from eggs that i had for breakfast the hotel staff called their doctor who i end up paying for my self and the only one thing the hotel manger did is not charging me for one night instead of paying for the whole 5 days and refund me for the Dr and medications fee and offered me another stay for free since i didn't enjoy my stay that payed from my pocket am very disappointed at sofitel management very disappointed at sofitel kitchen staff very disappointed at how they managed the situation. Very disappointed at how clean the room was very disappointed at so many things specially sofitel was my favorite hotel to stay in unfortunately it will be my last time specially after my recent indecent and more importantly my disappointment how management took care of the situation . however am not going to let it go am taking this to the authorities since sofitel didn't care about me and what happened to me .

« Good hotel, service can be improved »

The hotel facilities are great, especially outdoor. Service instead was always slow, both at bars and in room. We arrived late at night and had asked in the booking for a child bed, and despite having written and called to warn of the late time of arrival, when we got to the room the child bed was not there and had to wait another 20 mins to have it delivered. Every order at the bar and breakfast took a very long time to come. Some equipment in the gym is great, but other pieces are rusty and some out of order. The room we were staying (6th floor) was nice but not particularly spaciuos, some renovation could be helpful.
