This hotel is located in a beautiful garden setting not far from the city center. The service is exceptional. That said, the hotel is showing its age and is in need of renovation. Although the lobby areas and grounds are well maintained, the rooms and hallways need to be upgraded, modern AC installed, new carpeting, etc.. Most disappointing was the gym/fitness center which is not well maintained. Some of the equipment is not operational or is need of repair. I used the gym quite often and there were never any towels available. There was no attendant on the site. You had to go to the front desk of the spa to ask for towels. The AC does not appear to be working well in the gym, so the doors to the back garden were kept open to provide some circulation.

Very nice hotel , lovely reception area, lovely grounds and generous pools with facilities. Some miscommunications with staff caused some frustration. Lot of emphasis on Ramadan but there are other international guests. However duty manager and reception staff were very helpful.

This is the first time i chose Sofitel while visiting Rabat. Normally i stay at another hotel which is close by the company. I regret it’s my first time in all these years because I really had a wonderful stay. The iftar menu was great. The rooms were always clean. The staff was very kind and helpful and that’s all that matters; the staff who treat you good and always with a smile. I will definitely come back soon

I am a Jewish American of Tunisian decent. I am a vice president at Motorola solutions. I visit Morocco frequently and stay at your establishment. We have a major project with the Moroccan government. At any given time we have 4 to 5 employees who stay at your facility at any given week. Last week was the first time I traveled to Morocco during Ramadhan. On Wednesday and after a long day of work, my team and I went to the bar to have a drink. There were 7 of us of all different nationalities: 2 British, 2 French, Italian 1 Indian and myself an American. We all ordered a beer. Everyone was servers but me. I was told since I was born in Tunisian they would not server me alcohol. I asked why and I was informed that the Sofitel does not server alcohol to Muslims. I informed the bartender that I am Jewish. He invited the bar manager who asked me for my passport. I provided my American passport. He told me that since I was born in Tunisia he cannot serve me. He escalated to his general manager who told me the same thing. I am totally embarrassed by now. Religion is a very private thing. For Sofitel to decided for me what my religion is, is totally unacceptable. Here I am a vice president of a very prestigeous company with 6 of my employees and I get refuses service because of my birth place. I know this is not the character of the Sofitel brand. Unfortunately you have managers who represent you who tarnish your brand. I can tell you I will never stay in any of your hotels again. Further more as this goes against the Motorola character and policies I will recommend to our purchasing department to take your hotel chains off the list of approved hotels that we use world wide. This was a humiliating experience.

Rooms vere nice, but Worn, some things were broken like nightlamp switcher Millesime club was a big dissapointment, service was not good and the selection was poor Hotel should be smokefree, it was terrible cigarettesmoke everywhere in the lobbyarea Restless muzak (backgroundmusic) everywhere on the yard, restaurants and lobbyarea Personnel should also speak English, most of them doesn’t specially in the spa and bellboys
