All the best you can expect from Ibis. 3 min walk to train station and shopping mall/ cinema, 10 min walk to beach side. Good service in reception and bar. Was not using restaurant this time. Bathroom needs some updates. Good. Will use again

« I felt annoyed during my stay not because of the hotel's facilities but because of the rudeness of the staff. »

The location of the hotel is definitely good. The hotel has a couple of very convenient amenities particularly the parking for visitor coming in cars. However, the stuff doesn't seem to be successfully capitalizing on the hotel's assets. I was welcomed by a very rude person who told me that I must wait until 3pm because I allegedly mentioned it in my online check-in. I spent 10 min explaining to him that I checked the box "check-in between 12 and 3pm" and that above all the general policy of the hotel is that check-ins start at 12pm. Anyway, I was expecting a big smile and a genuine invitation to try the other services that the hotel offer but frankly with such rudeness I didn't try to learn about these services either and stayed out as much as I can.

« Additional bed promised before booking unavailable during the stay »

Everything as expected in Ibis as usual except one thing. before booking I asked over the phone if one room can fit Two adults and one kid. The answer was clear mentionning that with an extra bed it is possible. So I booked one rooom. On the check-in I was surprised when the receptionist said that all extra beds are already used and that they do not have any for us. Very disappointing, as I had to spend the night on the floor to let my kid and my wife sleep on the bed.

So bad.. No internet service in the room... Land line are not working and I asked the reciption to fix it several time.. They needed me to be in the room during the maintenance person will be there don't k ow why.. I stayed for a while then left the room.. They asked me to pay all the rent amount in advance while they don't have exchange.. And I paid 80% of the rent and told them I will exchange theoneu and pay the rest.. They even did not recluse that I did it leave the hotel and asked me several time about the amount which was paid the same day of my arrival (after 3 hours of my check in)

We booked a room for two adults and one child of 8 years old and surprisingly during the check in at the reception, we were told that they couldn’t guarantee a bed for my child. Also, they gave us a smoking room.

I enjoyed the hotel and the location especially close to the station. But SPECIAL praise to IMANE who works in the morning. She is PERFECT and knows exactly how to address clients. Very polite and VERY helpful for my trip to Ceuta. She should coach and train the rest of the staff especially the students or part time receptionist. The way you address a client is extremely important. Also, I only found out there was a pool and terrace after ONE day! It would be nice to have a kettle and fridge in the room.

Been several times in different IBIS hotels worldwide. This was a first - experienced a very uncomfortable situation, showing the lack of tact, discretion and professionalism of the desk clerk. Went with 3 female friends who checked-in prior to my arrival. While returning with one of my female friends who had checked-in earlier in her own room, I was asked /doube-checked about her name, her room number etc. I find it appauling that they dont know which guests are checked in, and when not knowing, - ask other guests for their information! Bottom line - Poor experience.

On one days towels were forgotten from the room but this was quickly remedied. Moroccan beer was unfortunately out of stock in the bar and the smoking during the football matches rather sickening.

I was spending the weekend with three very good friends in Tangier. They were staying at the same hotel (booked their rooms through their morrocan company) and had checked-in their rooms prior to my arrival. On my arrival to check-in I was with one of them, and we were looked at suspiciously (?). At one point during the weekend, I was asked by Mr. Abdulkareem - who one of my friends was - what room number she was staying in, and what was her name!! Besides this was done in a very undiscrete, rude and interrogative manner - double checking that I was not lying and as if I had brought her in "illegally"! I am sorry that IBIS Tangier has no control whatsoever of who their guests are - but the unorthodox indiscrete questioning experience is a first time, and I have been travelling for years for both business and leisure.

« Clean, safe, good location - but customer could be better »

It was good. The hotel has nice rooms, is in nice location and provides safe environment. However you have an opportunity to improve your customer service. I would rate receptions customer as 5 out 10. When we checked in we where allocated a room on level 7. We went to this room, had to walk around workman renovating rooms, furniture in corridor - the door to our allocated room was blocked by furniture. When I went back down to reception she said there where others rooms on level 3 and other levels. My question, why allocate any guest to this level if all this work is being done on level 7. Another time at reception I was waiting to be served when a non gust asked in the door and asked the receptionist direction. I didn’t mind being interrupted, but the receptionist then left me at them desk for 5 minutes before returning - no apology? Then when we went to depart, we asked reception for taxi. We went outside with our suitcases, and there where 3 or 4 hotel staff standing outside, appearing to not do too much to get us a taxi. We waiting a few minutes, then asked if they where getting us a taxi. There weren’t, but once asked they where very good at getting us a taxi. I should also say that the customer service in the dining room was very good. I offer these comments about reception as an opportunity you have to improve your service, and I hope it helps. Walter

We enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Hotel in Tangier. This hotel had everything we needed; a lift, clean facilities and a comfortable bed. The pillows were great and an extra was provided upon request. A short walk took us to the shopping centre and a little further to McDonalds. Taxis were readily available outside the hotel. The only negative in this whole experience, was the noise, which, although nothing to do with the hotel, went on day and night, as there is construction work nearby, as well as the fact that the room wasn’t dark enough at night. I felt that the Ibis delivered us pretty good value for money.

Everything was fine. The only thing that maybe was an inconvinient was the fact that this is an international hotel and because of the Ramadan some of the services were closed. I understand the situation but being in an hotel its being in a neutral place so all the services of the hotel (swimming pool) must stay in function.

Well placed but my bedroom was dirty, the floor of the bedroom, the small table next to the bed and the bathroom. It was not well cleaned. Breakfast room was also dirty. Many personal but doing nothing. I couldn't believe it. Even the chairs were sticky.
