Excellent service, clean rooms with sufficient amenities. However, you need to pay more attention to hotel maintenance: cracking ceiling, lose door handles, closets that don’t close that are constantly lit at night, plugged drains and other small maintenance touch ups.

« Disappointing start with excellent redemption »

After a flight from Tangier and a train ride from the Casablanca airport, arriving at the Sofitel at 11pm, we were very disappointed to be told that there was no room available for us even though we reserved our stay way in advance, specifically selecting the most luxurious and reputatable hotel in Casablanca as our last 2 nights in Morocco. We were relocated to the Farah hotel up the street which was ok, but labelled as a 5 start and turns out to be FAR from it (more like 3 star). It was old, in need of TLC, lack of attention to detail and uncomfortable. It was the only other hotel with vacancies in the area since the CAF was in town and took up all the space in the major 5 star hotels in the area. That being said, we were just there for the night and gone the whole next day for a day trip to Marrakesh, so we fessed up and went. The Manager at Sofitel, Younes, was very polite, professional and helpful and played a big part in the hotel redeeming itself. They explained that the reason for being transferred to another hotel was because a pipe burst on the 7th floor and took out the entire floor for one night so that they could repair it. I could sense that Younes was very apologetic, sincere and wanted nothing else but to make our stay one to be remembered. So as part of their redemption, they gave us 2 free dinners (which were excellent and the waiters are very friendly - kudos to them), free drinks, and an awesome upgraded suite for our second, and final night of our stay. The suite was exceptional to say the least. It had an incredible view of the ocean and the Hassan II Mosque from the 21st floor, the most comfortable bed of our entire 10 day stay in Morocco, a huge soaker tub (which my wife was really looking forward to during our entire trip - part of the reason we were so disappointed upon our initial arrival), and a array of fruits, pastries and a free bottle of local wine. It was honestly the nicest room we've ever stayed in. Kinda wish we were staying longer.. lol The hotel itself is high end, luxurious, has a nice bar with music, is professional, and the staff are very nice and courteous. It definitely felt like we were being treated from start to finish. Whether that was only because of the initial slip up - I don't know, but if they treat all guests like that, we would highly recommend them to anyone. They are also very well located in Casablanca - 5 min walk from the train station or a 300dh taxi ride to the airport. Younes, thank you once again for your patience, professionalism and compassion - you are pleasant to deal with and we wish you all the best and success in the world at Sofitel or other future endeavours.

Welcome quite nicely by the staff. Throughout my stay the staff was attentive and able to assist with any request. My room was attractive and comfortable. The pool was a bit cool but nice for a soak. Breakfast offered wonderful variety every morning.

I always feel the warmth and the welcome that the staff meets you and greet you with ... it is amazing. An knowing what you are looking for and expect is one of the staff's strength. for my last visit, I would like to thank all the staff i interacted with for their professionalism and special thanks to Mr Idriss and Samia for their welcoming smile and support during my stay ... they just new what they were doing. A minor note for house keeping (or minibar staff) ... I always miss having an ashtray ready in my room and I only drink still water :).

the room was not prepared as usual for Platinum members. missing welcome Drink. Room keeping was not done the first day until 17H (after asking, no do not disturb flag is raised). toilet in the room is not appropriate (very small) room very dark.

Check in: We arrived pretty early, so our hotel room was not ready when we arrived to the hotel, despite the check-in email we received saying to just pick up our room key upon arrival. We had to wait in the bar area for a while (around 2 hours) after a long exhausting trip. Samiya at the front desk did her best to make up for it with perks, which completely changed our mood from a terrible exhausting experience to a great one. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed in the Prestige suite with a great view. The only downside is it looked like they were rushing to clean the room, so the floor, although freshly mopped, was really sticky for some reason. The toilet closest to the bed also had a urine stain that did not belong to us...but I always bring disinfecting wipes with me when i travel, so I used those to clean everything up, and "mop" the floor, and wore the complimentary room slippers. I hate to come across as a "nagging" type of guest and usually take of issues I can within my control, but just being open and honest. You're experience could be completely different. Spa - We got massages in the spa, mine was with Amal. She did a great job. The spa area was very clean and service was very attentive. Food- The breakfast has a decent selection, and our waiter asked us if we wanted omelettes made, which was really nice, because we didn't know that was an option as they make the omelette's in the kitchen and bring it out. Dinner - I loved our waiter. He was funny, accommodating, and provided honest suggestions. I ordered the scallops and they were good. Entertainment - During our stay, they had a young performer from the U.S. singing at the bar. Her voice was sooo beautiful, and she chatted with everyone in the audience and made it a fun evening. Her name was Johnna. Great artist. Apparently it was also "Ladies Night" so they were offering a free glass of Rose to the ladies. No complaints here. :-) Overall a great experience, and I would definitely stay there again.

« Exceptional service and perfect location for central Casablanca »

The team at Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche were polite, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a modern relaxed atmosphere within walking distance of the nearby United Nations Square, Market Mosque and Casa Port railway station, though the pavements are not ideal for wheeling suitcases so better to arrive at the hotel like we did by taxi. Ilhain and Samiya on reception were extremely professional, helpful and friendly and ensured we felt very welcome.
