not up to ACCOR HOTEL Standards. i travel a lot, and i am a loyal member and to be honnest, there is a problem with some issues. not enough bath gel in both dispensers, and it's like that everytime, i had a room with two very small beds instead of a big queen bed, i am only one guest coming for business. the rooms weren't very clean, the breakfast isn't as expected, so if you compare it value Vs money i believe the room at 110 euro a night is quite expensive.

I enjoyed the stay, but maybe as a suggestion you can consider putting drinking water in the rooms and also providing kettle for tea. Also consider having English channels on the television.

my worst stay in a hotel

I made two bookings(March 23-30th and March 22nd-23rd) because after my first booking i realized my flight to Dakar was one day earlier than plan so I booked one day earlier. Upon my arrival I asked them to reconcile the two bookings so that I could have one single receipt at the end and they refused; well it is shows how much iBis care about environment. When I arrived at the hotel it was a Friday and I was having an issue with my bank card. I explained to them and said I would fix the issue on Monday once the bank would open and paid for the first night. The next day my card was deactivated because I had not put a guarantee. I explain to them again that my card issue and I would be able to solve the issue and give the guarantee on Monday. They rejected and was blocked outside. I was obliged to call my insurance in London and they offered to pay via phone using a corporate credit card; this payment was rejected because iBis asked for a passport copy. SOS explained to them that there is no passport associated to the credit card; rejection again. SOS was obliged to call their branch in France which reached their local in Dakar and they brought cash to the hotel to pay ibis every day for every night I stayed there until Monday before the issue got resolved by the bank and I paid the guarantee with my card once the issue was solved. In the end they still gave me two receipts while I was looking for 1. It is the worst stay in a hotel in my life. As a hotel member I should not be treated like that. I left earlier than planned as soon as I finished my meetings in Dakar and was not able to visit the city as I had planed. The breakfast was basic and could be improved. I was trying to stay in Novotel but no room so I stayed with iBis for the first time and I still regret it.

I enjoyed my time at the hotel, which is well-located and handy for business trips to Dakar. The room was fairly small but comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Pool area was clean and well-maintained, and there was a good choice of options at breakfast.

As previously, our stay here at Ibis Dakar was seamless. Location, service are great. Particular points to mention: clean room with extra comfortable bed, breakfast excellent with many choices, pool and gardens area really enjoyable and relaxing. Merci beaucoup Ibis Team! a pleasant stay, the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient, the breakfast buffet good, the room OK but both the room the bathroom need renovation the bar is OK but the panini I ate the worst I've ever had, but the food at Novotel good though over priced as are the drinks in both hotel A service you need is a navette to the airport as you offer elsewhere in Africa
