I paid more than enough and would like you to pay it back. Since I have no time to give you a telephone call, I sent an email like below with a photo on 27th July but haven't got a reply yet. Dear Madam/Sir, This morning I checked out at Ibis hotel Dakar. Now I realized I have paid 50000 XOF more. The fact is that when I had dinner last night, I was told to put a deposit 50000 XOF. I came for a short weekend with my Mum and we couldn’t have stayed anywhere better! Wonderful food, friendly and helpful staff, a comfortable room and a lovely pool. We felt at home, we were relaxed and at ease. From the front door, you feel welcome.

Hotel Ibis shares area with Novotel Hotel incl. swimming pool bar and restaurant. Ibis does not have its own restuarnt and hot meals so you have to use Novotel facilities. Hotel is quite pricy (5€ for 2l bottle) and other things as well. In general it was quite comfortable stay.

« Good sleep, but no amenities »

Hotel is good, staff is courteous and helpful. However the amenities in the hotel leave a lot to be desired. The only amenity available is a multipurpose soap and one towel. There are no smaller sized towels, no soaps / shampoo; no drinking water; no kettle for tea / coffee etc. These are some of the basic amenities that are available in even smaller establishments in Dakar and any other hotel in the world.

The Ibis adjacent to the Novotel offers all amenities of a large hotel for a sharp price. This includes amongst others a pool and a tapas bar. The staff is extremely forthcoming and would appear to work under the motto "ain't no mountain high enough" to satisfy your every need.

« My Ibis stay was fantastic »

I stayed for 14 days in Ibis and i will like to say the atmosphere was great, staff was friendly especially Mr Chaike Tidiane, very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are okay but i suggest you include Irons, Bar Fridges as i did not have those on room 610. Room service was okay but Laundry service was not good. They dont take clothes on weekend but thats the time we want to do laundry..!!! also Laundry services took 3 days which is not good.

« worst stay i have had in one of your hotels »

worst stay i had in one of accor hotels, the bar is closing at 23:00 even water you don't keep afterward to serve your customer, one night i woke up 3 am to ask for water they told me to go and get it from the novotel which is next to Ibis, means i have to go out from my bed at 3 am and got out in windy weather just to get a bottle of water, breakfast very limited, i asked for a fried eggs plain nothing on it they told me not possible, accepting the fact that the bar at Ibis close at 23:00 each night, i decided to go for a drink one night at the notvotel hotel than at my surprise no one was there when i asked they told me sorry bar is closing midnight as per MD instructions, only room service available when i asked what is available they said only beer, but i don't want beer they said that is what we have sorry. worst i asked to see the MD, they said he left no one is there. Dear Sir/Madam, sorry but this is absolutely ridiculous i have never been treated like this in a hotel in my life, you can do whatever you like to make savings but not on compromising the service because that is what we pay for as customers. this will make me think thousands times before i book in any of your hotels in the future. best regards.

I am a guest who live in the gambia and i book the hotel on accorhotel iphone app. I booked the hotel around 7 days before i stay. My stay was from 6-9th of april. At first i booked two nights then i booked another night. I paid everything with my credit card online but the system showed me that i have to pay one more night. I noticed the mistake and called the reception in dakar for many times from the Gambia before i go to senegal. And the receptionist who is named something like Andrea(later i found out he is the manager of ibis dakar) promised me for many times that everything has already been taken care of. But after i checked into the hotel firstly i found the price has completely changed on my credit card it's not what i have already paid they charge me for the price when i check in which is way more expensive. Plus on the third they charge me another time for one more night and i completely have no idea y it happened. So i went to the receptionist for help because i have already made phone calls for so many times from gambia and wasted a lot of money and time for the phone call and the manager andrea promised me everything is okay but still the mistake happend.i am very angry and demand to see the manager.then the funny part comes out. The receptionist said that they cannot help me and the manager is asleep(the time was only 8o'clock )and cannot answer the phone and they refuse to let me complain and told me to wait till next morning 7 o'clock . There is no manager at night and hotel can get your money whenever they want. As a customer i feel angry and powerless facing a hooligan company like this.since there is nothing i can do i have to wait till 7 o'clock as the receptionist told me last night. But still the next day the manager is not there at seven o'clock the receptionist told me this manager called andrea cannot be reached and refuse to help me reach him and ask me to just wait indefinitely.In the end i have no other way but to turn to the lady manager at novotel which is a very nice lady and one minute after i talked to the lady this ibis manager showed up. All my plan has been delayed because of this irresponsible manager of ibis. I wait until 9 o'clock my whole plan is wasted. It's the worst experience i have ever had. I don't think i would stay in ibis anymore
