Although protests were here and there and HK government and HK police made the whole HK chaos as fu^k, the hotel staff was S. nice and professional. One staff to praise is that John, staff at the concierge, helped us with his full efforts to get a taxi for us to get back home.

Our experience was very unpleasant. From the time we checked in there was a problem in the check in process and the wifi couldn't be activated for our rooms for an hour. We checked in late so we decided to order in room dining service, the menu had pages which had food options until 12 in the midnight plus there was a 24 hour menu. After calling 12 times to different helplines i was finally told that there is no food available except for a bacon burger! This is certainly not a Novotel Experience I have ever had! Highly Disappointed.

The room was not upgraded on this occasion. I understand that this depends on availability but I was here during the protests and I know that occupancy is lower than usualso found it difficult to believe that no upgrade was available, the removal of breakfast option in Lounge is a bad decision as one has to now go and sit in the rather unpleasant main dining room on the first floor which can be pangdemonium during busy periods. My normal room was fine, quiet and bed comfortable. However he telephone connection for in and out going calls was not good and nothing seemed to be fixed

I love the location of this Novotel Nathan Rd. and I always stay in the premium floor but I have found that the extras have slipped a little. Channels are not as varied as before, the slippers are of much cheaper quality, there is no breakfast in the premium lounge and the wines are not as good.

A an Accor Platinum member, we arrived at approx 7am and were given an immediate early check-in for a one night stop over. We also had a room upgrade to the top floor and had access to the Premier Lounge. Furthermore, we were granted a 6pm late check-out the following day, as our flight wasn't departing until after midnight. This level of service was excellent and we greatly appreciated the hotel staff for their friendly and helpful attitude throughout our stay.
