Arrived at hotel, briefly welcomed by hotel staff who didn’t seem bothered. Arrived at room, to find only 1 towel which had to be shared between myself and partner for the duration of the stay, Breakfast Sunday - we was escorted to a dirty table with no cutlery which I then clean myself and got fresh cutlery. The little things were over looked and annoyed me.

Lovely rooms spacious clean , nice bathrobes and slippers in the wardrobe makes a nice touch , the bar down stairs lovely staff very helpful , and best bit is so close to all the good parts of town , in walking distance , if not raining , which the staff on reception are happy to ring you a taxi ,. Hotel was quite at night so easy to get good night's sleep , Lovely breakfast area with help yourself breakfast , hot and cold food available , yea overall happy with my stay and I'll keep this hotel in mind on my next trip to Bristol

Room was great, however the restaurant was incredibly slow. Had to wait 40 mins for a chicken caesar salad which arrived minus the chicken. When I queried this I was told I hadn't ordered chicken which I clearly had. I declined to 're-order' chicken, however as the waitress headed off in one direction another waitress brought my chicken on a separate plate. All a bit shambolic. The staff were quite young and just require a little more training on how to manage that situation - the 'kitchen is really busy' didn't reconcile with the small number of people in the restaurant. NB Your survey keeps defaulting to 'Noise in bedroom' which isn't the issue it was the restaurant

I was booking at the last minute and was forced to book for two nights. I requested the reception staff to amend the booking for one night and refund the second night but they were unable to do so. I ordered room service dinner and was advised that I had to pay cash to the delivery person which I did. Then when I checked out I was advised I hadn't paid for the room service and I had to pay again. Very disappointed.

A can't be bothered attitude permeates the staff. Room key chucked at me. Barman too laid back to care. Waiter watching rugby rather than show guests to tables. Room was good size but you cant open windows and have to leave ac on overnight. AC set my allergies off so I wonder about the servicing...

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback after your recent visit., Whilst we do wish our staff to be friendly and `mix with our guests what you describe isnt the sort of service I would expect from the team. We have discussed this feedback with the team to ensure they are aware and adjust accordingly. Our windows like many modern hotels are sealed for a number of reasons. The AC in the rooms does pull in fresh air from outside and it passes through filters. These filters are under contract for cleaning/replacement in accordance with our contractors guidelines. regards Chris

Our stay at the hotel was terrible, the bedding was ripped all the way around. Out of two televisions neither of them worked, we then phoned reception for something to be sorted out we were told that there was nothing to be done to see the manager in the morning. The next morning we went to use the “gym and swim facilities” which were terrible it needs refurbishing paint coming off the walls, pool very small no sauna or steam room which receptionist said there was when booking the stay originally. After leaving after our swim we then went for breakfast which was stone cold! I would not recommend visiting here to anyone after using other Mercure hotels this has to be one of the poorest ones I have been to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bristol & Holland House. We arrived after lunch, starving, and were able to get a delicious meal, washed down an excellent bottle of wine. We managed to secure an upgrade to a corner suite, thank you, which was huge and very comfortable. On a future visit, we will certainly return to this hotel. Thanks for an excellent stay.
