Average or below average. Booked Executive room, but did not find anything special for an executive room in a 4* hotel. The air conditioning did not work in our room, it was cold at night and cannot turn heating on. The quality of the air in the room very poor, same pollution as outside. Called reception and got a heater, the reception knew heating is not working. The food in the restaurant not so good quality for the price. The personnel very friendly, that's why it balance to satisfied.

As we arrived at midnight the room should be ready but the check in was too long. We get the room with smell of smoking and next day the air-con is not working so we have to move the room again. The executive lounge staff cant speak English. As a platinum member we should get turn down service, welcome gift and welcome fruit but we get nothing

George, the captain bell man, was amazingly helpful and cheerful. He organised a day tour for us in Xi’an and even cane to pick us up at the train terminal. What a lovely gentleman with 5 star customer service.

« A Great Hotel centrally located in Beijing »

My wife and I came to Beijing after visiting HK, Shanghai & Tianjin at a range of other hotels. The "best" and first impression on entering the room was the great bed after sleeping on close to boards for the previous week. The reception staff were just great and we knew right from the start this was the right hotel choice for us. Next morning we met "George". George is one of the Hotels greatest assets and every guest needs to experience his wisdom and knowledge. Later we met his "boss" and she also was fantastic. George helped us with advice on Beijing travel, Taxi arrangements and places to see and visit. He had access to a car and driver who could communicate with us when we had no Chinese and we wanted to go places where we definitely stood out as being westerners. The driver he introduced us to was "gold" and on his advice we saw places that few westerners who visit Beijing will ever see. The only time we saw George blanch was when we said we came back to the hotel from the Temple of Heaven in a "Boop Boop" - a experience we will never forget. So with out a doubt one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Great eating options in V9 and the Chinese restaurant, great happy smiling staff and close to all the action in Beijing.

The service in the Excecutive lounge was good. The room was OK, very small bathroom, mainly the toilet and the location of the telephone there. The welcome drink was a disappointment, this given the fact that even a local beer was not possible and I had to ask for it at the front desk. No voucher was given. In the gym some items were not working

Air condition too noisy and there was no Wifi connection in the room sometimes. Even it was connected, the signal and browsing speed was extremely slow!

A fairly decent hotel which has 2 metro stations close which would take you to most attractions, shopping district in Beijing. Though you have to change one line but connectivity to airport is also seamless. Breakfast is great & the overall value for money is a definite thumbs up!

Had a pleasant two night stay. I arrived early and was able to check in which was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient as it was about halfway between two subway stations and also a short walk to the airport shuttle bus stop. I would stay here again.

« excellent location but operation can be improved »

The hotel is near Tian An Men, where my wife and In intended to visit. When we arrived, we were surprised that 500RMB was charged to our credit card. In all other hotels we have stayed, the credit card is used only as a guarantee. Now we have to monitor if and when the amount is credited back to us. Also, the welcome drink was not offered to us on arrival. We had to ask.

It's really bad experience during I stay Beijing, the size of double bed only has 1.5 meters, I rolled over and fell out of bed one night. As 4 stars hotel, 1.8 meters should be standard of double bed!
