The stay was fine, although I had to change room twice because ac and fridge was not working. The beds are too soft. Breakfast becomes boring if one stay more than three nights, no change.

The food was good although it didn't have too many options. The location just opposite the US Embassy was great. The Wi-Fi was very stable and the view from my window was okay. The outstanding part of our visit was the staff. They deserve a 5-star rating. They were a real definition of hospitality. The downsides are the small size of the rooms, the lack of rooms with connecting doors for us that had lots of kids and maybe the shower whose water was never hot enough. Also, the elevator was too tiny and the doors closed too quickly. Interestingly, you can't have a kettle to even boil water in the rooms especially for guests with babies. Finally, the TV in the rooms look like desktop computer screens and the only English channel was CNN. All said, it was a good trip as we tried to create our own fun. However, Ibis came across as a hotel for business travelers and not for a family vacation.

I was really happy, expensive nights, expensive food (the poor buffet for 22 euros?!), the water in the shower wasn't warm enough, the bed was really uncomfortable.

My stay at Ibis Hotel (Cotonou) is very good as usual. However, I had minor issue this time due to installation of safety bow under the desk. The desk is already small and have safety box under the table make setting very uncomfortable and one time I've hurt my knee by the box. Safety box can be installed under sofa in replace.

« Overpriced for such limited service »

Elevator didnt work all the time, credit card payment didnt work when I checked in and worst of all it didnt work when checking out. This is serious!! Room very old. TV is embarrassing. Breakfast not good. Sorry, but for the cost of that hotel and looking at your competition of international hotels in Benin I think you can treat your Gold customers better than this.

Hotel room was clean and comfortable, with good WiFi connection. Food was OK but of very limited variety, after a couple of days of eating lunch and dinner at the hotel, you want to go somewhere else as the choices available are very repetitive. Service in general was good, with the only exception of the restaurant area where there were plenty of personnel but it seem like one of their main duties was to police the guests eating at the restaurant keeping extremely close attention to what they served themselves from the buffet area. This felt very intrusive for me as very frequent international business traveler.

The room I stayed in was quite basic but that is all I needed. Food was simple and good. I think the rooms should have small safes in them to put valuables into when away. The bathroom could be a bit bigger too. staff were generally friendly. the area around the hotel is not well kept so it has a much more down market feel than others in the same area.
