Very disappointing experience of Ibis Budget Hotel, having had very positive experiences on the same trip at Bayeux and Bordeaux airport. Very rude staff member at reception- we arrived after 9.30pm and she refused to speak to me. I was forced to try and work the machine outside instead which kept crashing. Our family room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke. Clearly guests are smoking on the premises. There were even cigarette burn marks on the floor- room 201. I really didn’t want to stay in the room with my family but as there was no one to talk to we had no choice. Couldn’t wait to leave this place in the morning. This has put me off staying at Budget Ibis again. This particular hotel is a world away from Budget Ibis Bayeux which was welcoming, clean and comfortable.

used every yea for one night on way back to UK from south. Only problem was broken toilet seat. We arrived late evening so did not ask for repair but this hould have been spotted and repaird during the day.

We have stayed here several times. The hotel is kept very clean and the staff are always helpful. The negative part of the stay here is always the bathroom. I've never stayed in a hotel where the towels are so thin that it's hard to dry yourself. Also, you only get two towels and nothing for the floor. As the shower curtain is at least 3 inches too short. all the water from the shower went all over the bathroom floor no matter how hard you tried to avoid this. The first person to shower had to step from a wet shower floor to a wet bathroom floor. The second person was lucky as the first person's towel could be put on the floor, although with so much water it was sodden. Prior to staying here, we stayed at Premier Classe which is a cheaper budget hotel but has much better towels, much better showers and always supplied a towel for the floor. Why can't the IBIS Budget have better towels, fix shower curtains that reach the floor of the cubicle and offer a sheet for the bathroom floor. It provide a bad start to the day! In addition there was nowhere to hang clothes. At least the Premier Classe provides a spot with 6 hangers to hang up a few things. Fortunately we had the bunk bed above us to put things on.

We arrived at the hotel quite late, approximately 22.30 and the hotel was in total darkness, with the car park gate locked. On our confirmation print out it gave instruction how to get into the hotel but not how to get into the car park. The car park asked for our room code, which we did not have at that time. Luckily another guest arrived at the same time and I was able to go to the main door to register to get our access codes to get into the car park.

The room was very basic, which we expected, however the smell of cigarette smoke was terrible, the air con was woeful & when I asked the Cleaning lady could she help, she shrugged her shoulders & walked away

Friendly staff, but not professionally enough. Pour quality of breakfast. When we arrive to take our breakfast at 8:45 am, just 2 croissants for 3 people. When we ask for more, the answer is "finish". Our stay in Nantes follow a disappointing stay in Rennes.

We stayed twice in two weeks at the Hotel and both times we were not impressed with the Desk Staff smoking just outside the main entrance. On our second visit the same staff mother and daughter were racing around the car park with two boys on Motor Scooters for around an hour. Also they had two Dogs that were continually barking until they took them away after messing around on the Scooters.The Room on our first visit was very poor and smelt of smoke although there is a no smoking policy inside the hotel. The room on our way home which was on the ground floor was of an except able standard which we expect from IBIS.

Good evening We are sorry for your comments, but we must tell you that the hotel manager and her daughter live on the hotel. So yes, they are brought to enjoy the sun and smoke their cigarettes outside, something more appreciable than inside:-) We are also sorry for the noise but the manager took advantage of the closing of the hotel on Sunday afternoon (at a time where she must keep the hotel but does not work) to train her son to drive a scooter (50cm3), something more secure than the Let go on the road... When things bother you, do not hesitate to directly share it, we assure you that it would have stopped well before 4.30 pm (time when the scooters were stowed since the hotel opened at 5pm. In addition, we have a smoking area in our establishment, you may have had a smoking room. Again, we must not hesitate to report it at the moment. We can act, something we can't do with a comment;-) Kind regards Ibis Budget
