Everything went right, except for the airport pick-up, that for some reason I am not really able to understand, depends on a phone call from the guest to the reception of the hotel, asking for it. As, surprisingly, the hotel still works only with a wire telephone system/switchboard - or whichever it's called, and the whole phone system was out of order at the time of my arrival, I spent about 15 minutes trying to connect with the hotel, but had no success. I thought my mobile phone might not be working fine and called my son, in SPaulo, asking him to help me calling Novotel. He did and also had no success, but at least he could hear a busy tone. Well, I had no choice but take a taxi - worth mentioning the driver was very impolite and drove really dangerously for being mad at driving me to a hotel right across the street. At Novotel, where I finally arrived, I could not believe when I heard the receptionist saying their telephone system was not working and that was then the reason why I could not get in touch with them. Well, I cannot understand why Novotel offers a transfer that cannot be booked and the guest has to make a phone call to order it at their arrival. Besides, I had already informed I would need a transfer and they confirmed, by email, I should call the hotel but, at the moment they realized there was a problem with their telephone system, something could - and should have been done as, for instance, have the van sent to the airport and call my cell phone from another cell phone. I cannot believe there's no mobile phone in that hotel. After all, we are in 2018..... Also they had my email address - and had already sent me an email, as mentioned before, to inform that I should call them for the van when I arrived at the airport. So, why not send me an email to let me know about the phone system issue? By the way, still at the airport, I sent the hotel an email saying I was trying to call them but it wasn't working, and I was frustrated. So far, I never got an answer.... My point is: as guests are the core business of a hotel, why not care about them, making sure their stay at Novotel is comfortable and pleasant, starting from the service they offer at their arrival ie, transfer from the airport to the hotel? Well, it's really frustrating and stressing and not comfortable at all to feel the way I did: I was tired, hungry, and looking forward to having something to eat and then take some rest. But had to face something that could easily have been avoided, making me, a guest, feel welcome by the international 4-star hotel I would stay in. André was the one I would like to thank very much for all his attention and care. He realized how inconvenient the situation had been to me and did his best to make me feel comfortable. Novotel POA airport has a great employee, actually he is very efficient, nice, professional, dedicated and hardworking. I would like, as a Member of Accorhotels Le Club, to suggest that such situations would never happen again, since we are already in the 21st century and communication should not be a problem, or an excuse. After all, we have so many devices made available today - wireless, easy....efficient...not a problem....

My wife and I stayed during 8 days. The hotel is very Good: cleaned, quite new, perfect breakfast (many options and good quality), friendly staff. The location is not so good, but besides airport and easy to go anywhere at the city.

It was ok, the bed was awesome but the shower needs some maintenance. The room was quiet, breakfast was average. Staff super friendly. So all in all it was ok but if I needed a similar stay in the future I would probably try one of the other hotels around the airport before booking Novotel again.
