« First time that My family and I got an extremely bad experience at Mercure hotels »

I may not have enough space to describe everything that was wrong during our instance, specially the first night when we checked in. I even wait one week to write down this email ,just to calm down because I was and I still very upset. I reserved a room with 2 beds,and we were extremely tired by the time we got to hotel and the person who did the check in gave us a room with only 1 bed, and then I reported ,and they sent a very old bed, I have pictures and video, it was embarrassing to see the type of bed they wanted to give us, old ,dirty, mattress with holes,, honestly I could not believe it. I did not want to publish the video because it was very unbelievable that an important hotel was doing this. then after another claim, they sent us to another room with 2 beds with a broken air conditioner, then after another claim, the give a room with 2 beds that was ready since we arrived. Why the person from the reception did not give a room that was ready , make no sense? why this person instead giving a room that was ready making us wasting a lot time?. My wife has insomnia and could sleep in the time that we was supposed to sleep because we waste a lot of time to get a room. in other words, she could not sleep during the whole night,therefore I could not also sleep. im still trying to avoid getting mad while trying to explain the event. next day( Saturday), the hotel did not even clean the room very late, did not deliver towels. When I check out ,requested to talk with the manager, but it was in vacation, and even during my check out heard other people complaining. this tells me the manager did not have an experience team to take care of any problem that came up while she/he was on vacation. I recorded by video in English the rooms numbers that I had to change during the first night. Requested to reimburse the first night during my 2 day stay, but the personal did not want to do it, wanted to give me a discount on parking lot of 80 reals. I did not accept it, because the problem was the room,and the personal,and they made me 2 charges above 500 reals for 2 nights. I was so dissapointed that I wanted a reimbursement for my whole instance,but only requested the first night, and did not get anything. I expect the Director from Sales from Latin America to call me. my USA phone is +16…, my Brazilian phone is +55…0, my company email is ca…, personal email ca… Will send an email explaining the situation to Accor corporate,and investors board, and will include the video.Because Probably the camboriu hotel does not deserve to be franchised or deserve the name of Mercure, I will send the list of all the people that stay at the accord chain on business because I recommended the chain to my business partners,and we are talking around 500 nights per year. I stayed at accord chain since several years ago, and never were treated like this. Anyway, I very upset about it,and not looking to come back to Mercure Camboriu,since they do not deserve to be call Mercure.

Everything was great but the time of the breakfast ended at 10:30. I was there at 10:15 and almost everything was empty, even the coffee. I didn't like this.

All bedding has a very strong odor, maybe related to fabric softener, as I´m allergic was impossible to sleep.

Very well located with mercure standard service. If you know the brand you know all about the bang for buck that mercure has. The only downside is in the winter the rooms are very cold. No heating system.

« A nice stay at an affordable price »

I am very pleased about my stay (first time) at the Mercure Hotel in Balneario Camboriu. Excellent location in front of the beach near of everything at walking distance. Nice room, quiet and very clean. Staff very friendly and professional. Definitely, I stronger recommend for tourist, business single, couples or family.

as a Brazilian I know that every hotel offers breakfast with no extra charge. also the towels are so tiny and old. the water at the reception only after 2.00pm realy!!! the soup is so small and no shampoo. I ask for a king bed and we have a queen more like a trampoline. at sauna no towels unless you call front desk. not a invite atmosphere... great location but never came back... plenty of options in BC. we came back from the beach around 11.00 PM ready to drink the flavor water and we couldn't find after ask the lady at the front desk she told us only after 2.00pm "realy"

« Felt abbused by Hotel rules and rudeness of staff »

Was a bad experience from start. Unfriendly statff and rudeness all over. while checking in, a paper was hanlded for me to sign stating that an extra 100 BRL would be charged in case I receive visitors in my room. I explained that my wife and baby were with me but would not stay longer than 15 minutes as they were heading to the airport, however my baby needed to be changed and I would like ot sue my room for that. I said I would not accept such terms, then the staff tol me tht I was not bale to check in if not accpting these "extra" terms. Guess what, they charged me 100 BRL for 15 min in order for me to change my baby. I should have changed him in the lobby... They the excuse came that this was for security reasons... my baby is now a security reason. also, the access key in all the lifts were broken. They should fix their own facility instead of blackmailing their guests. I called the manager Patricia but she was not available on Firday, nor on Satruday. Worst experience I have ever had on a Accor hotel... worldwide.

Great location, near the beach and restaurant. The staff are polite and attentive. The hotel is very light anr organized. The not offer beach chairs and service.The rooms facing the sea are very agradavers.The hotel´s restaurante and bar are excellent.

I did not feel welcome when I checked in. The receptionist was more concerned about charging me for bringing my girlfriend with me than actually receiving us with warm in the hotel. I made a reservation for 1 by mistake, but usually if I reserve for a double bed, I am not charged if I bring her. I have stayed in five star hotels and cheap hotels, and this never happened before, usually the staff knows it was an honest mistake and let it pass. Then, after paying the fee for having my girlfriend with me, they give me a room with 2 twin beds! I called to get a room change, and instead they just joined the beds! It was so uncomfortable, I could not rest well, the beds kept splitting. So, in summary, I paid over 100USD for poor treatment, an an uncomfortable room, if I new, I would had stayed on a cheaper hotel or airbnb. I stayed there because I thought the price meant friendly service and comfort.
