« Room was good, service pleasant, breakfast. »

On the whole, we enjoyed our stay. However, we requested an early morning alarm call to enable us to get our transport to the airport on the day of our departure. This alarm call did not eventuate and it was just fortunate that we awoke half an hour before our transport pick up time. This was barely time to complete our packing and certainly did not permit time for breakfast for which we had paid and for which we were charged. This was a great disappointment.

Location of the hotel is excellent, near 3 metro stations. Room was too small to accommodate 2 people and luggage. Room service was not available for drinking water. Had to go down at 11:30 pm to get drinking water for our room. No bell boy facility. Restaurant staff was friendly and polite.

« Good experience spoiled by 1 incident »

The menu in each room offers a 20% discount off total bill for food items which I requested be applied to my bill upon check out. Why did it take 40 minutes to resolve this? Why did your staff request me to return on Friday morning so that the F&B manager could resolve the issue? Why did your staff make me feel as though I was claiming something to which I was not entitled? Frankly, this has nothing to do with the $4 discount, which after all is a very small amount. But if you run a promotion then it should be known to all staff (which it obviously was not), and it should be easy to understand and not open to misinterpretation (which it obviously was). This whole episode was handled poorly and in my opinion your staff should have been empowered to fix this on the spot. The incident has changed my perception of your hotel enormously and not in a good way. I travel well in excess of 100 nights on business each year and always try wherever possible to stay in Accor properties. Tonight's incident over a $4 discount has me seriously questioning whether I should continue to support Accor.

Overall experience was good. If were to say something for improvement would be the housekeeping. I called multiple times to request for dental kit and it took quite some time to be sent. However, it doesn’t affect our overall stay.

« Unbalanced feedback - no negatives at all!!! »

Although our stay was only for one night, we can’t praise this hotel highly enough ! We arrived very early in the morning straight off a 13 hour flight from Spain, feeling very tired and jet-lagged. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and managed to change our room so we could go to our room immediately. No extra charge for early check in! The bed was very comfortable, clean, crisp and fresh smelling bed linen, the room and shower room were spotless! The following morning we slept late and missed the buffet breakfast, but a basic breakfast of cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt, juice, coffee and tea was available which was fine! We checked out before 12 and were able to leave our luggage in a secure room until early evening, again at no extra charge! We also liked the hotel’s environmental policy, paper pens, notices about waste etc ! Way to go !! Thank you Ibis, we will certainly look for an Ibis for our next hotel stay !
