Overall the rooms, the amenities and the facility are expected. The location is good, very center, minutes walking from MRT, the Bus stop is right in front of the hotel. What I didn't understand was, I hold my silver le club card, but need to stand in a queue for checking in since they didn't open the priority lane. Two little things about the room that need to improve, one is there are stuff from previous customers left unnotice inside the room behind the curtain. Second is there were and small insects inside the shower room. I did expect the cleanliness for Accor chain's hotel, a little bit disappointing.

I enjoyed the location. the rooms were clean and well kept. staff friendly and helpful. the only dissadvantage was there was no pool or gym - reserved for gold members or something.

The quality was so basic it was not worth the amount I paid. Better to stay at one of the other options nearby. Staff were not very friendly at the front desk. Not enough space in the lobby for everyone waiting for transport. Lifts are slow. Room not ergonimically laid out which is stupid for it's small size. Could not get one of the pieces of luggage in the room easily. No recognition of Accor membership or status.

Rooms at this hotel are clean and serviced as expected. Staff are very helpful, polite and friendly. Air conditioning is great to come back to the room after a day's exploring of all Singapore has to offer. The cafe/restaurant has a good range on offer as well. Breakfast is plentiful though a bit on the high side, cost wide.

Really enjoyed our first experience at Ibis on Bencoolen. The reception staff on check in and departure were courteous and knowledgeable and our room 1410 was in a good location as it was at the end of the corridor and quiet. As we requested a quiet room on a high floor, this was exactly what we asked for. We were very happy.

« Good but the rooms require renovation »

I forgot to purchase an extra night at the hotel however as we are regular guests of the hotel and we had already stayed a number of nights we paid a price below the day rate. There are several improvements that can be made. Bathrooms have stains on the wall and there is mould on the door frame and the aircon and safe did not work properly upon arrival. The cleaning staff are attentive.

1. If someone is locked out of the room, there is no common phone available in the alley outside the room to contact the front desk. One has to come all the down to the front desk to pass the message. 2. Those coming on business trip will be using the desk & chair to use the laptop or to write. But the chair provided in the room is not at all comfortable to sit for some extended time. There has to be adjustable chair available. 3. On the day of checking out, when I entered the lift at Level 12, none of the lift buttons responded and I was trapped inside the lift for about 10-15 minutes. I was to catch a flight from Changi Airport some 120 minutes later and those were tense moments not knowing how long it would take to be rescued.Though the situation was handled, by your staff, in a good and courteous manner and I was also given a complimentary cab ride to the airport, but I expect that the equipments or amenities need world-class maintenance service so that such bad experience do not happen to any other guest at your hotel. 4.Also wherever payment becomes due on every 10 days or specified period, a reminder has to be displayed in the room similar to that done on the day before checking out. This will help the guests to remember the payment due and avoid any unpleasant experience.

Had to make an emergency trip back to Singapore due to visit my dad. He developed post-chemotherapy and post-surgury complications. He was transferred into ICU and was in critical condition. The past few days was a turmoil for myself and my family as my dad's heart did stopped but was thankfully resusitated by the medical team. We were always on standby for the worst to happen as his life was sustained heavily by life support machines and medications. I first shared my experienced with Rank followed by Dash in front office as I had a back to back booking as I was spending most of my stay at the hospital and could not personally come in to check in on the day of my back to back booking. The room is used mainly by my family members as a time off from the hospital to rest and refresh ourselves. Additional ammenities were organised immediately to help facilitate this process. The assistant FOM, Mr Simon Ho, had a card organised to provide support and encouragement to us. He helped us by contacting with the revenue team to help ease our financial load as the medical bills is taking a toll on us. Thank you Simon & the revenue team for doing this for us. I am currently still staying in-house as I have extended my booking. No words can fully describe the gratitude I have towards Mr Simon Ho, Dash, Rank, the revenue team and the entire ibis Bencoolen team (both front office and housekeeping) in making the hotel a place of refuge and comfort for us in this tough time. The good news is that a miracle did happened and my dad's condition turned for the better. Although he is still still in critical care, he is responding to treatment a lot better. Thank you ibis Bencoolen team for your compassion and professionalism.
