Blondie L. Friends - 11/09/2019 AccorHotels review

we hv hiccups through from Agoda.com, our booking was cancelled with unreasonable excuse upon arriving hotel. However, we are lucky to meet Farbin who offer great help in getting a room for us. He is wonderfully helpful and with great patient. Room is spacious and with kitchenware allowing us to do simple cooking!

Could not fault this stay. The apartment was well appointed comfortable, quiet and close to everything. Staff very helpful. I can’t think of one thing we were unhappy with. Would strongly recommend.

At first we thought the room was too basic. BUT then we realized how perfect it was. We had a kitchenette, a full size table, and a really good shower with plentiful hot water and pressure. Best of all, the bed was super comfortable with high quality linens. The bed was as good as any we’ve had at any price level.

Satisfactory

Our stay was satisfactory. Room was fairly basic but acceptable. We were very disappointed, however, that there were human hairs in the shower upon arrival due to inadequate cleaning. I was also disappointed that there was no acknowledgement of my Accor Silver status upon arrival (which is unusual) nor was it checked when I requested a short late check out.

We had a very pleasant stay. Were able to check in early. Hotel clean and Adequate for what we needed. There was a supermarket close by and bars and restaurants within 5 mins of hotel. Bus stop for airport just around corner.

Nothing specific that demonstrates a great place to stay. The only positive is its location.

Nice hotel, excellent location.

The hotel is ideally located in Bordeaux, near all the historic districts and shopping center. The only downside is that the hotel's WiFi was very slow most of the time.

Good hotel, clean and convenient to the old town. Staff were friendly and room comfortable

Lovely stay, I requested a quiet non smoking room and that is exactly what we had. I also emailed to say we had a very early flight and if we could get access to the room early we would appreciate it, I received a text on landing to say our room was ready. We were very happy with our experience and will recommend to friends.

Excellent location, well-equipped and spacious studio apartment with few flaws even worth mentioning. Booking in and out was both efficient and pleasant. I would stay there again without any doubt.

Great aparthotel with excellent location

Artit N. Friends - 26/08/2019 AccorHotels review

We stayed for over 2 weeks at this aparthotel. The room is spacious for 2 persons sharing. Most amenity was provided but adding a toaster would be appreciated. There was a mini mall nearby with everything we needed. We used this place as a base to explore the area and we were extremely satisfied. We would recommend our friends to stay at this aparthotel.

Helen F. C. Families - 25/08/2019 AccorHotels review

After travelling several time zones with a small child we were exhausted, so we were very thankful a room was ready for an earlier check-in time than scheduled. Very good location base for a week in Bordeaux, about a 5 minute walk to the tourist/historic section and a 2 minute walk to the bus stops for the airport and train station. Felt very safe, well lit, clean and was greeted by a friendly, bi-lingual front desk woman. Our room was on the 6th floor facing the street and had no issue with noise. A good base for families or for anyone who prefers a quiet place to sleep.

Good overall, with a panicking check in experience

Customer review rating 4.4/5

Mohammed A. Families - 20/08/2019 AccorHotels review

The stay was good overall, except at the beginning of the stay where my family and I got into a panicking experience. After a long car trip to Bordeaux, I got lost and had to go through the wrong parking area before I ended up in the right hotel-designated parking zone. Above the gate of the parking zone, I read that this is the parking area dedicated to the hotel residents, therefore I entered the gates. While entering the gates, I reached out to the hotel receptionist over the intercom, and no one answered, so I had to call by phone. The lady over the phone explained that all parking slots are booked, I gave her my name and explained that I'm checking in and that I have a platinum membership and I'm already inside the parking zone. She repeated, no you can't go in and the parking zone is fully booked. But it was too late, and I was already inside so I head to the designated hotel parking slots. When I got there, I found more than 10 empty slots. I felt at the moment that the lady was not honest. I parked, left my luggage in the car, planning to check-in and have my family settle in (a pregnant wife, a 5years old son, and 10 months girl) before I grab all my luggage into the room. However, we were not able to go inside the hotel because we don't have any access codes that could open up the doors to the hotel elevators. We tried to contact the reception again, but couldn't because the intercom wasn't working and there was no network for phone calls to work. We walked from one stairway to another, not knowing how to leave the building, and keeping doors opened while opening other doors just to make sure we don't get locked into stairways. We felt lost, trapped, claustrophobic and afraid, we started to panic. Somehow, walking up from one room to another, we managed to get out of the building and turn around it to walk into the hotel's entrance. At check-in, while still feeling extremely angry and frustrated, I asked to speak with the manager to complain about the receptionist's dishonesty. Another receptionist said, I can call the manager, but she won't help you, and that she can't do anything about parking being full. At that point, I wasn't even concerned about parking spaces as much as I was frustrated by the terrifying experience we had feeling locked inside an unknown space with no navigation and no aid. While waiting for the manager to show up, I asked the receptionist to check me in, and she asked me to provide her with my family's passports, which I left inside the car. I tell her the passports are in the car, and I need the code so I can come back to you here with the passports, and she refused to give me the codes. Then she asks my permission for her to serve other customers, dismissing my case and my frustration. Eventually, the manager came in. With her calmness, she was able to control the situation. She listened to me, she tried to explain, she seemed understanding to what I've gone through, and she helped me find my car again and was able to offer me a parking slot. I got to realize later that parking slots are booked by the hotel residents, which wasn't a familiar procedure to me. Therefore, finding empty spaces is quite common and do not mean that the receptionist was dishonest with me. I still feel that someone else could get into the same situation. How to avoid my incident? 1. Make sure all intercom devices are working and are responded to. 2. Explain the parking booking throughout the online experience (at payment, at confirmation, in emails, etc.) 3. Make sure there are proper navigation tools inside the parking area, showing people how to properly evacuate out of the parking zone. 4. Reception staff should train to identify stressed customers and equip themselves with empathy. If I'm waiting in a line to check-in, it is admirable to see reception staff dealing with stressed customers in line before me, rather than seeing reception staff terminate communication with another customer to serve me.

Dear Sir, As General Manager of this Aparthotel, your comments are very important to me. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience you have encountered and ask that you accept my most sinceres apologies. Rest assured that the necessary steps will be implemented to improve the quality of the services mentioned and that I will review the welcome with my reception team. We hope, however, to have the pleasure of welcoming you again on a future visit. Best regards, Sylvie RESTOUILH General Manager

Clean, spacious room with well equipped kitchenette near the city centre. Very conveniently placed for tram and bus routes, as well as being near Bordeaux Meriadec shopping centre. Staff at reception were very helpful and pleasant. The only negative point has to be parking: you have to pay for the hotel car park and there aren't many places, so we had to park in a neighbouring city car park (19 Euros per 24 hours).

The hotel is perfectly located for transport from the airport & to Gare Saint-Jean, the stop for bus Liane 1+ being directly opposite the hotel. Our room, a 3 person studio, was roomy, well-equipped and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the street. The staff were friendly & efficient (and spoke good English). Would definitely stay again.

We loved our room, which was large, modern and very functional. This is an excellent location that cars can easily access, yet right next the historic district of the city. The bed was very comfortable and we liked the open space enhanced by a lot of windows in the room.

Central location, big room but a bit oudated
