The hotel is charming and beautiful, very comfortable, and located in a lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed walking to many of Bath’s famous sites as well as the excellent shopping and restaurants. The only suggestion we must give is the shower really needs a handrail for safety, especially because it is elevated almost a foot above the floor. Otherwise the room was very modern and attractive, and the entire hotel was lovely, staff was friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay, however there are one or two things that need sorting out to move you to the next level. The towel rail needed reattaching to the wall properly. It was not fixed correctly in the first place I think.. I didn't find the water because it was in the wardrobe. Could it not be placed on the bedside table?

We are regular patrons at the Theatre Royal and we always stay at the Francis. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was as expected. The only minor issue was that one bedside table light was not functioning.

We pay regular visits to Bath and always stay at the Francis. Friendly and helpful staff as always and good breakfast to set us up for the day. So handy for shops and museums to browse. Room clean and comfortable with good night's sleep. We will be back early next year.

I had a wonderful stay. Very comfortable bed and good breakfast. Staff were great. We checked in as 3 people - we had a roll away bed brought to the room for my son but we never received an extra towel or drink of water even after requesting it at the lobby. I also emailed the hotel twice after checking out because my son left a small pillow in the room and he really missed it after we got home but i got no response from any of the emails I sent to H6… If the pillow is still there i would really like it back. reservation number: No.HPXLGBHM.

Beautiful hotel and bedrooms. Large restaurant with good food at the higher end of the budget. Very central and within walking distance of many of Bath’s attractions. Parking is at the rear of the hotel down a narrow one way lane. This wasn’t obvious from either signage at the hotel or on the website.

The hotel was very good I liked it, however on the Sunday during the day after housekeeping had cleaned the room they had left the door slightly ajar when leaving and this was like this all day until we got back in the evening, luckily nothing was taken from the room.

53 years ago we had part of our honeymoon in Bath. We returned to stay in what is a superb hotel We could not fault the reception greeting nor any of the staff. Room perfect and meals as expected. We will return!

We had a 3 night stay at the Francis hotel. Staff were warm friendly and eager to offer assistance. The room (203) was very nice and pleasantly decorated. There is a crack in the wall of the bathroom but this didn’t impact on out stay. We didn’t eat at the Francis as we were usually out exploring.

Staff are very helpful and welcoming. It was difficult to control the tv with the remote. Being at the front of the hotel on a hot night with the windows open was noisy due to people shouting in the square. Every thing else was good - the bed, linen and bathroom.
