« Excellent - rooms were spacious & very comfortable; staff very helpful. »

My Mother & I had an excellent time staying with yourselves. We were down for Fed Cup Tennis at the uni. We loved the decor of the hotel, rooms were spacious & comfortable. Staff were very friendly & accommodating. We also enjoyed our breakfast & a couple of meals in brasserie blanc. Thank you.

If I was absolutely critical but the bathroom in the area of the shower showed signs of plaster falling off and generally a little jaded. This was in no way detrimental to our stay but made need to be put on your list of repairs.

Great central location Clean and modern Friendly and helpful staff Good breakfast (although it got cleared away before we finished!) Only drawback is it was quite noisy both from outside and also some noisy neighbours who kept slamming the doors late at night

Very small room, but reasonably comfortable. TV did not work ( for the second time staying with you). Had to go to reception to ask for it to be fixed - no one answered the phone when I called down. The TV was fixed satisfactorily in the end.

« friendly staff, nice hotel »

enjoyed the hotel, found the staff to be very nice and polite and friendly however the food was a bit lacklustre. we had a meal on our first day in the restaurant and it was not so good - we were not billed for it. I had to send the roast parsnips back as they were rock hard and even the replacements were not what I would call roast parsnips - just stir fried. I had also emailed the hotel twice to ask for a room with a walk in shower as we had a twin room and my elderly mother found it hard to get into a bath and had no response so i have no idea why there was no reply to these emails ...these were sent to the address direct on the website

« The entire staff and the hotel were all fantastic. »

I stayed for three nights and had breakfast in the restaurant all three days and drinks and snacks in the bar a couple evenings. Every single staff member was helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself is beautiful. My room was spacious and immaculately cleaned. Katherine and Leroy at the front desk deserve special kudos for their helpfulness and friendliness.

« Lovely hotel didn’t disappoint »

We stayed at The Francis many years ago and we were delighted to find the same high standards. Staff were excellent and the room was pleasant and clean. Slightly disappointed not to have a view of the square at what was a fairly quiet period and the bathroom was a little compact but overall experience was very good. Loved the BB restaurant too

« Nice... amazing location and some staff incredible but the room a little tired and small »

Bev and Claire were phenomenal at being warm, friendly and a helpful face throughout our stay, they totally made it for us such wonderful people to see everyday. Location was incredible and the hotel very sweet and nice. Things I’d change are the loud toilet that kept making funny noises, noisy neighbours, Paul at the bar was a bit moody and it wasn’t the cleanest I’ve ever experienced. Overall a lovely experience though, just being honest x
