We arrived after a pretty stressful day and the staff and welcome were just what we needed and to top it off the romos and facilities were very good. Bar food is good - same menú as room service. Suggest you order a la carte for breakfast - a bit hit and miss on the buffet

We stayed on a Saturday night to celebrate joint birthday with friends. Fantastic location, easy parking nearby, short walk to restaurant. Bed very comfortable and loved the room decor and facilities. Will definitely return and recommend.

« Okay but issues with something banging against my rooms wall from outside which was not fixed even with staff aware of it. »

Everything was good apparent from the issue I had with my room. Booked a single room away from travel partner for both to get a good night sleep. My room had something banging against the room wall from the outside every time the wind came. This kept me up most of the nights I was there. I informed staff of the issue after first night it occurred and was informed it would be checked. The next night the same banging was still present and issue had not been fixed. Informed staff again on checkout and was told that they were sorry but no further action was taken.

Professional / speedy check-in and a cosy room. The savings on food in the Brasserie Blanc was a welcome treat. Bar v easy to spend time in, with a barman who seemed to have an encyclopaedic knowledge about Armangnac!

« One of my favourite hotels »

This was my 3rd time at the Francis; I love the grade 1 listed building with quaint corridors and bedrooms, excellent restaurant, convenient location and very friendly and helpful staff. There was some confusion this time regarding the “gourmet” package we’d selected but that was mostly due to the regular restaurant staff having their staff party on the first night and consequently staff from the sister restaurant in Bristol serving for the night.

From the time we pulled up outside the hotel your staff took care of us until we left the hotel. The staff were attentive, polite and very knowledgeable, we also used the Blanc Brasserie for both evening meal and breakfast which was very special. We would have no problem in recommending your hotel to family, friends and another who is considering staying at the hotel.

My granddaughter and I stayed for one night on a room only basis but opted for her as a child to have breakfast in the morning. Having stayed in many hotels in London I was quite surprised the cost of a child's breakfast was the same as an adult. The room was very nice and clean and staff also very helpful

« Wonderful anniversary stay »

We managed to secure the same Feature Room that we stayed in on our wedding night a year ago to celebrate our first anniversary. We even had a little welcome note waiting for us, welcoming us back which was a lovely touch! The room was immaculate and the welcome warm. All the staff we encountered were really accommodating and the room amenities were great, from Nespresso coffee to White Company toiletries. Breakfast was tasty too.

« A very enjoyable stay on Christmas eve »

Front desk staff were very friendly and suggested several places to visit and to have a good meal. They were all cheerful even though having to work on Christmas eve and Christmas day, apart from a grumpy barman on Christmas morning. We were just asking about our welcome drinks and whether we could take away and he seemed very annoyed and told us off. We sat waiting for him to come over to take our order, but after 30 mins, he still didn't appear. Luckily front desk staff got us some fruit juice to take away after that. Would still recommend this hotel due to the great service from front desk and comfortable room.

The room was clean and well decorated, however it was difficult to sleep as music was playing most of the night in the restaurant downstairs and the mattress on the bed was incredibly hard.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived. We waited over 30 minutes and asked several times but were eventually given another room. Our room was lovely, hotel beautiful food Very good, however the waitress chewing gum whilst serving at breakfast was off putting.
