The room they booked us into was very cold including the passage-way, they moved us no problem and upgraded us as well they couldn't have been more helpful first class service all the staff were wonderful well done to you all, I would recommend the Francis to anyone, thank you for a most enjoyable weekend.

« Comfortable and stylish in the middle of Bath »

Our room was very comfortable and stylish, if not very large. The restaurant was fine - good breakfast buffet and great dinner. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The media experience was disappointing - flaky internet and very few TV channels. Location was brilliant.

« An extremely comfortable hotel in a fantastic location »

Very enjoyable break. Greeted by very friendly and efficient staff on the front desk. Our room was a very good size and nicely furnished and decorated. The bottle of wine promised on arrival was not in the room - but was quickly delivered when we mentioned it to the front desk staff. Beds were really comfy ensuring a good nights sleep and Breakfast was great.

« Good. Helpful staff excellent room clean and modern. »

Overall excellent. Downsides were artificial flowers and that we were unable to get a table in The Brasserie so had to go elsewhere without any reservation. Luckily found a table at Puzza Wxpeess but would have preferred something less basic.

So the stay was nice enough at the hotel. We had a superior room which was lovely but very pricey. It’s reallt nice to have a later check out which was definetely a perk after the delightful breakfast, which I’d highly recommend! The car park... well that’s the interesting part. I had read other reviews about the car park but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. After checking out and going to my car I found two people with their trousers to their ankles at it and drug apparatus on the floor. I told the hotel staff indoors and they insured me that the car park is monitored by a camera but it didn’t seem they had security or a means of dealing with situations. It did leave a bad taste on our experience so we decided to park elsewhere which was such a faff in Bath. One of the main reasons I went with the hotel was for the parking and close proximity to the city centre. Thus, it didn’t really meet my satisfaction as good value for money as I had to change my parking arrangements and was just a shame to be honest.

Next year, as part of our continuing improvement plan, we are scheduled to improve the lighting in the car park which should deter situations such as this arising. Lovely hotel in a brilliant location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant good as was breakfast although a little overpriced for a buffet style. Car park on site a big plus although this too was a little expensive. Nice room with a very comfortable bed. The small fridge in the room meant we could have fresh milk for our tea and coffee which is a lot nicer. Two packets of biscuits would be nice as one packet seems a little stingy when you consider the price of the room. The temperature of the room was also quite cool on arrival and took quite a few hours to warm up after we turned it up. The bathroom was very cold as it had a large sash window in there and no heating except for a small towel rail. An electric fan heater would be good in there for the winter months.

« Due to its location The Francis Hotel is very convenient to the town centre. »

« A mixed bag »

The staff were helpful, friendly & engaged. I rather liked my room on the third floor but one of my Company, at 6'7" should never have been put on that floor! I thought the lounge on the left as you enter the hotel too cold - at all times. And I thought the closing of the bar at 11.00 with only horrid little bottle of wine being available after that time was not appropriate for the standard of hotel The Frances professes to be. FINALLY: PLEASE PLEASE STOP USING PLASTIC - it's quite all right to have bottle of shower gel & lotion in bottles that are attached to the wall.

« A lovely and friendly hotel, with excellent staff. »

We were greeted warmly and all staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome. We had an excellent lunch in the Blanc Bistro soon after our arrival. Our room was very comfortable and well-appointed. The hotel is ideally placed to walk to so many of Bath's wonderful sites. The Theatre Royal was 2 minutes away on foot, and can recommend seeing a production there. Breakfast was delicious and set us up well for our days wandering around Bath. All in all we had a very enjoyable time at your hotel.
