Enjoyed our stay, had little interaction with staff and was pleasant. Room was comfortable but expected the superior room to be a little more special than added sofa and a carpark view. Loved the theme of the building felt very regal .

Disappointed after my privious visit

The stay was due to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday, we had stayed at the hotel a few years ago and loved it, very disappointed with the room, blind was broken and there was nail clippings on the carpet, we did report this to the receptionist and after three attempts it was sorted, the receptionist said that they would sort something out for us, but nothing was forthcoming, I've e.mailed twice since our stay and have no reply what so ever. We have over time recommend the hotel to a number of friends visiting bath, thank goodness they didn't experience the same problems.

Once again, the location and quality of the Francis was up to standards previously experienced. Usual friendly staff and fine breakfast much appreciated. handy for the city centre and places to eat. Already booked next stay.

The Hotel was in a perfect location for us. We could walk everywhere to visit all the sights. The staff were helpful and courteous, especially Mark in the Bar. He gave us many suggestions of places to eat and made us feel very comfortable. We would return just to see him.

Our room was on the front of the building. Room 126. We did not have a restful sleep due to the noise off 4 people sitting on the wall arguing. This went on for a while. I was not aware there were pubs around us when our friend booked this otherwise I would not have chosen to stay here.

Enjoyable stay. Hotel is very conveniently situated. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Car park was we extremely useful and appreciated having the car brought to the front of the hotel when leaving.

I had a problem when I booked and called the hotel directly who could not have been more helpful. When our visit came around, check-in was smooth, our rooms were lovely, and we very much enjoyed the bar. I especially liked the post card in my room, thanking me for my return visit.

We were greeted warmly by staff on arrival. We were slightly early but they had a room ready and we were checked in quickly. Our room was lovely and clean and it had everything we needed. The staff were really helpful and even put a bag overnight in the fridges for us. The car park was easily accessible and we could use it for 24hrs from when we stayed which allowed us a bit more time after check out. The decor in the hotel is beautiful!

The hotel is lovely and in a fantastic location, the only down-side being the parking; on arrival we went to the front desk (as instructed via email) to ask if there was parking available, only to be told that they didn't know and we should go round to the car park to find out. When we did that we found ourselves stuck at the barrier, unable to raise it; we were also unable to get hold of anyone via the phone so had to walk back around to the front of the hotel (now causing a traffic jam!) in the rain to get someone to manually open the barrier and let us in to the car park.. Other than that, the hotel and staff are lovely and we would definitely stay again despite the parking problems.

very welcoming and helpful staff. beautiful hotel. good breakfast. visited on a special offer deal, but not made to feel second-class. Only negative is that it's not possible to open windows in rooms at front of hotel, so room got quite stuffy

Stayed for one night only and wish we had extended at least one more night. Lovely property, nicely and tastefully decorated. Very friendly staff working on front desk and in the bar. Appreciated the upgrade to a feature room thanks to my platinum status. Rooms are very nice. However they seem sparsely / simply furnished for their size and perhaps could be improved to be given a more luxurious & comfortable feel. Maybe a small sofa / sitting area would help. However, no complaints whatsoever and I would definitely stay here again.
