I'm not really sure what made the room a Feature Room, never mind the minibar only being stocked with water. On arrival, we found the toilette had recently been used but not flushed (though the rest of the bathroom was very clean) and the television didn't work. All in all, the room could have been cleaner and it just didn't quite live up to expectations. The staff, however, were lovely during checkin and check out. As this was a quite night away, I choose not to raise the issue with the toilette or television to avoid upsetting my husband.

I am so sorry to read that you found the cleanliness of the bathroom was not in keeping with our usual standards - this really was inexcusable. She should also have highlighted if there was a problem with the television prior to the room being let - I have shared your concerns with our Head Housekeeper who has asked to be associated with my apologies nd will be taking it up with the room attendant. It is of utmost importance to us that all guests are comfortable whilst staying with us. I will be sure to share your comments with our team as I am confident they will serve as great encouragement to all as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services. Car park and check in all lovely as was the room but having a road side room it was extremely noisy at night and from around 5.30am . And I'm afraid not having breakfast in the hotel as such was a let down..breakfast is served by the bar adjoining the hotel where the staff are not as professional and to be honest wasn't pleasant although the breakfast itself was acceptable.

As always the hotel was lovely. Clean, friendly , brilliant location, but if you want to retain us as guests, please never put us in that room again. My wife was kept awake half the night by revellers in the street outside. The room itself was lovely, but the noise at night was horrendous.

Our room was beautiful and the bed superbly comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been more pleasant or helpful. They take your car away and park for you which is great in Bath. The breakfast was lovely so there is nothing we would change. Will definitely be back!

The greeting was somewhat cold. Further interaction later on bordered on rude. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was in a neglected condition with mold in the corners, filthy fan vents... a bathroom I would consider sub-par in a side of a highway chain, never mind a hotel in a class such as this. The general areas of the hotel were lovely.

We love staying at this hotel. Everyone is always welcoming, kind and very professional. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. We wouldnt stay anywhere else. We got married in Bath 4 years ago and stayed here then and for an anniversary last year. Its just perfect for us and this time we brought friends along for a hen weekend. They absolutley loved it as well.

Due to the history of the building, all the rooms vary in shape, size and décor; it is such a shame that you didn’t ask to see if there was another room in the same category that you had booked that you may have found more comfortable or if you had wanted to upgrade to another room type. Unfortunately, due to the lack of space in the centre of the city, parking is at a premium throughout Bath. We are very lucky to have a small car park at the hotel with charges that compare favourably with our competitors. Brillant location. Staff friendly throughout . Nice rooms. Only negative would be we had a room at the front of the hotel which was noisy with traffic and people passing so I did not sleep very well. If I stayed again I would need a room away from the front .

Superior room booked, but the 1st night, the builders came in to the restaurant right under our window. Woke us up around 1, concierge told them to stop. Continued about 1 hour later. More complaints finally stopped the drilling and banging. Next morning offered an uograde pkus lubch and a glass of wine. All good but expected better from a good hotel.

Very warm welcome with your reception staff. Room was lovely . Breakfast VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!! The restaurant for breakfast was open until 11.00am we arrived at 10.15 am to find that what was left of the English breakfast was cold and the eggs hard!!!! No selection of bread . Fresh fruit had come to an end & no selection of croissants etc . Coffee when it arrived was also Luke warm. When I complained they did make me a fresh breakfast but I should not have had to complain. Not a good way to start the day!!!!! For £15 I felt we should have had a better choice . Needs to be looked at!!!!

« A pleasant stay, despite the weird idea of having a painting fixed to the ceiling - weird and not even a nice picture! »

nice - though I was disturbed by the picture on the ceiling - that's just weird and I wouldn't return on that basis. Was there a hidden camera I wonder? the mind boggles and like I say, it was weird. Also breakfast was v. mediocre for a hotel of this calibre - beans and fried eggs were luke warm, not hot and it just wasn't the great cooked breakfast we were expecting. Finally - NEVER enough milk cartons for making our own coffee - always a problem wherever we stay.
