We held my daughters wedding at Burford all of the staff we exceptionally helpful and the organisation on the day was faultless, the food was superb and we could not of asked for more, the hotel room was lovely, we had an upgrade and the room was really spacious, my thanks to all the staff especially Stephanie and the management staff who helped keep the day on track.

Beautiful location and lovely hotel but you need to sort out your food, had no vegetarian food, my jacket potatoe was hard, at breakfast had to ask for veggie sausages as none my husband had to ask for fried eggs as none my sausages then came out not very hot and my husbands eggs burnt, I have never stayed in a hotel with no veggie options I can't be the only vegetarian, so please sort this problem out.

Room was clean and nice size (liked balcony with garden view). Bed comfy but hard pillows. No robes or slippers (was expecting these with the upgrade). Dinner was tasty and just right portions for a three course meal. Very quiet and peaceful stay. Staff friendly and attentive.

The staff were very friendly and showed my husband and I to our room. The rooms we had organised for my family were brilliant. My grandsons thought they had a room to themselves even though it was joining. The young man in the evening at the bar was very helpful and did everything with a smile.

The staff were excellent and we appreciated the upgrade with a quiet room overlooking the garden as requested in advance. In terms of the building, we prefer a walk in shower, would have appreciated a lift, and there was a light bulb out. The food was also very good, though some at least of the breakfast bacon needed to be crispy for my taste.

it was satisfied. advance taken was nearly 696 GBP and my bill was GBP 580 ( when i left hotel). balance amount was not released and i was facing shortage of fund during travel. i dont know the status till now. please release the balance amount as soon as possible.

Very comfortable ,quiet room. We had anticipated more road noise because the hotel is located near a busy main road. Pleasantly surprised to discover that this was not the case. Hotel and gardens maintained and decorated to a high standard. Heated outdoor pool a nice surprise. My wife enjoyed a mere breakfast swim with the pool to her self. Overall , good value for money.

Hotel decor and fittings v good in bar, lounges and rooms. Some corridors and meeting rooms need TLC. Service was slow due to very few staff, some rushing about wearing different hats. Example - 10 min wait at bar as barman was delivering items to bedrooms. Restaurant food was okay - but very strange and limited menu. First time I have been offered a choice of 6 side dishes - 4 of them different types of potatoe (chunky chips, skinny chips, creamed potatoe, baked potatoe, Caesar salad, mixed salad!). A la carte menu of 3 uninspiring items, so we all went for bar menu steak - which was average. Lunch sandwiches were lorry driver sandwiches, big halved slabs. Overall though we enjoyed our business Awaydays. Checkout took just under an hour due to a £124 wrong addition to my bill! I just feel the place is under staffed and under trained.

We booked last moment as we’re looking at houses in the area. I paid extra for room with balcony but didn’t know they were smoking rooms so it did smell a little plus there was a strange mark on sofa looked like food or something! Photo’s on booking.com website for the room show one in the main house so it’s a bit deceiving

« Organization of the event was excellent, location was good just let down on a couple of occasions by small issues »

Event at the hotel, using Tithe Barn. Organization and assistance from hotel staff during the day was excellent, facilities were excellent. Areas for improvement - lack of hot water for tea at the start of the day, lunch time barbecue was scheduled for 12 noon but wasn't fully ready until nearly 12.30pm and some of the barbecue options weren't ready then. So a couple of niggles but overall, a very successful event!

Our booking form said we could get in our room from 2pm, it wasn't ready when we got there.We were in room 317 there was a door constantly banging most of the evening the music from the wedding could be heard from our room. Many of the guests toing and froing from their rooms were not mindful of those trying to sleep. The restaurant was disappointing, sinewy steak foreign body in my dessert, watched a waiter remove the cutlery from our table and put it back in the drawer. Breakfast was comical ran out of teabags hot water, juice, butter, hot food all in all very dissatisfied would not revisit
