Excellent team at the reception. I think Roxana went the extra mile to help meet my needs. I booked a previledge room but when I told her I smoke she moved me to a room with balcony and at same time made sure I still get what I payed for

« Lovely hotel but too noisy at night »

Our stay was fantastic as usual, I’ve stayed at BB many times, however on this occasion from 9pm Onwards let’s just describe it as adult noises were continuous every 15minutes until 4.30, each time adult noises stopped there was much loud talking and smoking which also continued until 4.30am in the morning. We stayed in room 118.

This hotel is a regular for me for business trips to the area and works perfectly. It ticks all the boxes - spacious room (very quiet and clean), extremely comfortable bed, excellent shower and a tasty, varied breakfast (anywhere with fresh fruit, greek yoghurt and then pastries/choice of bread gets my vote). Staff very pleasant and helpful as well. Recommend it.

I stayed in room 120. I came very late at night and only saw the terrible large water stain above the bed when I was going to bed. It is disgusting!! And the room smelled like mildew. I didn't do anything because it was so late and I just wanted to sleep. The bed was terrible. I could feel the box springs!! How dare you keep this hotel room in your inventory!!! You should go to jail and be fined. You are a disgusting creature to make money for such unlivable room

When we arrived at the hotel we were met by a very friendly and helpful receptionist who made us feel at home immediately. When we entered our rooms, we were pleasantly surprised at the size and layout. My Dad especially enjoyed sitting in the winged armchairs looking out over the garden. The tea, coffee and biscuits were much appreciated. Breakfast was well cooked with fluffy scrambled eggs.... Duty manager was very friendly to all guests. Would definitely visit again.

« A very pleasant weekend stay in a beautiful area. »

We had a lovely stay at this hotel for our anniversary. The staff were very helpful at answering questions and accommodating us (e.g. checking us into our room early and kindly giving us chocolate for our anniversary). The bed was huge and comfortable, and the breakfast very yummy. We had a minor issue with our room which was fixed very quickly.

Myself and my husband stayed over to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we got married in the barn last year. Nara in the reservations team was very kind in assisting our booking, we were delighted and surprised to be upgraded to the bridal room and a lovely gesture in the room wishing us a happy anniversary. Thank you all very much! There was a fire alarm early hours, the night handled the situation even an apology letter followed. We had a wonderful stay, thank you all again.

We were awoken at 04:30 hrs by the fire alarm which we had to evacuate. We were given very little information stood out in the cold, when we were told it was a faulty smoke head. I deal with evacuations a lot in my job and this was a poor example of how things are managed. We received a letter under the door apologising for the inconvenience. The breakfast was very undercooked and nothing complimentary was offered by means of compensation for any inconvenience. This was the 2nd time we have stayed there not sure we will be staying again. The room was at the front, we had the window ajar and at times you could not hear yourself talk due to the bikers out the front, very noisy. The room was tiny, bathroom needed attention and half a toilet roll, towels very small, no bath sheets. Overall a disappointing stay!

All staff we came across could not have been better, all very professional, friendly, and attentive! The room had congratulatory chocolates as we had recently got engaged, so that was a lovely touch! The room itself was a little dated but had a very comfy bed, good tv, clean eveeywhere which was great. We had dinner in the restaurant and that was incredible! We were gifted complimentary glasses of fizz which was a lovely touch! The menu choices were far better than I would have thought for half board and the food itself was amazing! Fantastic dining experience! There was a fire alarm at 4am the night we stayed, but the staff handled it very well and kept us informed with what was happening constantly apologising even though it wasn't you fault. Handled very well. The only 1 point I would like to make was that there were lots if ladybirds in the room and the balcony. I don't like insects so it mesnt my partner had to do a sweep of the room to remove them all a few time while we there, and we didn't use the balcony as it was full of them. It didn't ruin the experience for us, but just a point to note for that room mainly as somehow they may be finding a way in. Thanks for an excellent stay, we will be back!
