« Attention to detail is lacking »

mediocre. Easy details were missed. Housekeeping moved a chair and my suitcase to the middle of the hotel room in order to mess with the radiator (I assume based on the radiator knob being set on the floor) and left them there when I returned to my room. I ran out of tissue one day - the staff left me one tissue for the day. I nearly ran out of toilet paper and had to request from the front desk staff. Restaurant was constantly out of menu items like steak, hamburgers, and fish. The eggs prepared for breakfast were soupy to the point of not being edible.

« Pretty bad if I'm honest »

On arrival at 9.30pm, the room was freezing cold. I informed reception, someone came up, but actually failed to apologise for it. Then it didn't really work al night so it was still cold the next day. I then asked again the following evening and the service person came up and changed the dial which seemed to do the trick. Breakfast the first morning was poor as the coffee arrived and no cup or milk was with it - basics. In addition to the above, the room was pretty awful, clearly there was a couch missing in the corner, the carpet was stained and there was no pull out to sit the suitcase on top off. I was also part of a meeting and when lunch was served, the switch over of the dinner pots took way too long so that half the group had to go up twice so that was a bad experience too.

Overall very comfortable, just a shame they didn't check bacon & eggs for breakfast. Took far too long to replenish.

The check in was good; an employee offered to help with the bags from the car. The car park is well placed and free is always good. Don't normally like buffet breakfasts but this one was absolutely fine.

The room was disappointing. Marks on the sofa dirty curtains. Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Taps dirty. Bathroom door needed repairing/painting. Not impressed with the latch on the inter connecting doors. Breakfast was cold. Disappointed with the room. Staff helpful but English was hard to understand. I have already emailed my complaint to you. The pictures on your website do not represent your rooms.

I am saddened to hear that you were disappointed with the superior room. we have many different shapes and sizes of these rooms as we are a listed building, however the amenties remain the same, however this does not help when you are expecting different to what you receive. I have new sofas arriving the first week of March as I too agree that what we currently have is not acceptable and have worked hard to get funds to purchase these. I have also commenced on a full bedroom maintenance programme since I started late last year. I am aware that this doesnt help you now youve left the hotel as we could have moved you to a different room if we had been made aware on your arrival. where do I begin. Well the first room I was given was so small you could hardly move in there, to add to my disappointment there were stains and holes on the bedsheet and duvet cover, which they changed, then I noticed dead flies in the lighting, which was the final straw, so I insisted my room gets changed. Room 2 was okay much bigger only complaint is it was on the other end of the building, and i had to drag all my stuff there myself, no help was offered with the luggage also no real apology given for the terrible room offered initially... This experiencewas definitely not worth £130!..Poor

Lovely hotel, greeted at the door. Nice room although a bit cold and had to ask for a heater but that wasn't a problem and one was brought up immediately. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open which wasn't on the website. I had booked for my husband's birthday and wanted a nice meal too. We ate in the bar, same menu apparently and food was lovely but would have preferred a restaurant.
