« Nice room but could be cleaner »

Perfect arrangement of the short-notice elongation of my stay. Room could have been cleaner. Long hairs found on bed (I am having short hair) and floor not cleaned properly.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms are adequate clean. The building is old and next door to Shakespeare’s dwellingplace. However not all the rooms are in the old part. The new apartment has a nice rooms.

« No buzz no atmosphere, false smiling badly trained staff »

Dried out breakfast, staff want to clear tables and clock watch rather than serve clients. Going to you room with first impressions of trays of old room sevice that stayed there the whole stay until returning from the performance of Breakdast the next day. Look and location are not enough. I would guess your trade is made up of first time visiting custom. If not it will be.

An authentic hotel appropriate for Shakespeare’s birthplace. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was nice. However, would have preferred a walk in shower which we gave had in privilege rooms in other Accor hotels. The breakfast was self service and the hot buffet was lukewarm. The staff were helpful and friendly.

This is a lovely hotel, nice and central and an easy walk to the theatre. Friendly staff. The rooms are a good size and very clean. I did not have breakfast, but it smelled nice. I'm happy to recommend this hotel

« Positive Experience with Friendly, Honest Staff »

The room was clean and comfortable. The mini-fridge was missing the water bottles that were supposed to be there, but this was rectified quickly by the staff. The front desk staff were very accommodating, but my gratitude especially goes to the cleaning staff. While we were checking out, a call came to the front desk from the two women working in the room to say that they had found some money that I left in the pocket of the bathrobe that was in the room. As a native New Yorker, I was delighted to experience this rare honesty!

Hotel very convenient for RSC etc. and car parking on site was extremely welcome. Lovely old building with character retained. Suite (with four poster bed) comfortable and well equipped. Staff were all welcoming, polite and helpful.

My room did not have tea bags available, I requested some and the following day only 1 breakfast tea bag and several Earl Grey (which I don't like) were provided. One drawback to the hotel has been the availability of parking, however this has been largely overcome by having an employee organising the spaces, really helpful.

As normal the 101 room was excellent, but I think that you need to be made aware that on Friday which was the night we stayed there was a live group on in a nearby location which played till 2300hrs. and sounded as if it was in our room. We informed the manager who was excellent and offered to move us but h informed us the music would stop at 2300hrs which it did. That was the only disapointment during our short stay which is one of many times of us being there. and normaly would give the hotel a 9 or 10.

I could not rate my stay as "extremely satisfied" because I could not adjust the shower/bath water temperature. The control was not working and the water only ran at "very hot" so that showering or having a bath became dangerous and impossible. ( Room 114)

we stay a few times a year at the Shakespeare and are never disappointed, the rooms, food, lounges/bar along with the staff are all lovely. a great central position not only for the sights and amenities of stratford but also an ideal base to go off exploring the beautiful little villages of the Cotswolds.

« Nice stay, but extremely hot room »

The building is amazing and really in style with the town. The room was nice with a refurbished bathroom Breakfast was also good Unfortunately, the room was way too hit and we did not manage to sleep well. When we went to switch the heating off, this was set for 27°, making it impossible to cool down and reach a standable temperature.
