« Quality time with my mum »

Enjoyed spending time with my mum. Food was lovely but the hotel and spa was very dated.

Enjoyed stay. Room service disappointing, especially when you ask for 6 pieces of toast between 3 and are given 2, then to be charged twice for brining up the correct amount. Also attitude of one woman delivering the room service on the first morning telling us that we should fill in the card the night before and that they don’t usually do lattes. Our 20 month son had been ill over our break, we did intend of visiting the restaurant for breakfast. Really didn’t need this attitude.

« Dissapointed »

We have stayed at the Albrighton Hall on our wedding anniversary's many times and found this time we were very disappointed! We booked the hotel as a special Valentine break for one night and as usual the room was beautiful, but our dining room experience was not!! We were put in the back of the dining room through another door but could see the other guests. The room was cold and another customer asked to be moved, there was no room for us in the main room so I sat with my coat around my shoulders. All the tables in the main room were well presented and we had the bare minimum and did not have a candle, even though everyone else on tables did. We rushed our food just to get out of the cold. As a Valentine special treat we felt very disappointed.

Despite the radiators being on full, the bedroom was very cold and the bathroom like an ice box

« OK »

Everything was OK. Staff friendly and helpful even if lacking in a little knowledge over how to charge a room to a Accor Business card.

Disappointed regarding the coldness of swimming pool... breakdown of spa and sauna ... rooms clean and comfortable, restaurant very good and helpful ...... sandwich of smoked salmon and cream cheese was sparse of both and dry bread

« Short stay at Albrighton »

We arrived on Monday 5th to a very welcoming receptionist. Check in was quick and efficient. We were in room 19 which was quite small and very cold when we arrived but warmed up when we put the electric heater on. The bathroom remained cold as the radiator didn’t work in there. We were booked into the Spa at 5 pm for our complimentary treatments. The Spa area was freezing as was the pool. The massage was good however my wife’s manicure was a disaster. The restaurant was cold too even though we asked to be seated near a radiator. The menu was limited and we waited 50 min between our soup and main course.

« Nice as expected »

Lovely hotel, great breakfast and good facilities. I ate in the bar and the food was very good with excellent service. My room was a little cold at first as the windows are are old and you get a draft. But once the heating was on fully is was fine.

Overall it was good. A couple of things could be better. We were not informed we were booked in for spa at 4pm on the arrival day so we missed the appointments and only one could be re-booked. It would have been helpful if we had been emailed and consulted about the booking. The bedroom was cold but warmed up once we switched on the radiator and an electric heater was brought up. It would have been good if the radiator had been switched on in advance.

« Superiror Room was well below the stndard expected »

I booked a superior room, the size was OK but our room in the Stable House was old with stained carpets, holes in the pillow cases, wardrobe doors difficult to open (coming off runners), heating was a plug in fan heater and simply in need of redecorating. General condition poor. Very disappointed because the main house and bar area is in very good condition. Shame the rooms aren't to the same standard.

« A nice hotel break but sadly the spa lets the hotel down. »

Booked through Wowcher me and my boyfriend were looking forward to a night away to enjoy the spa with nice food and to relax. The hotel is lovely itself with beautiful grounds with friendly staff. Our room was very small for the size of the hotel and corridor space, but nice and warm compared to the rest of the hotel which was freezing. It had the ammenaties required which was great. We were able to check in a couple hours early when calling prior which was great so as our treatment wasn’t until 4pm (booked by spa staff, we would of preferred earlier if given the option) we headed to the leisure area to use the spa facilities to find out the rock sauna was out of use and also that robes and slippers were £7 each to hire. Expensive when included in price elsewhere or free of charge. The changing rooms were clean, the sauna that was working was nice, larger steam room wasn’t very steamy and the aroma room was abit grubby looking and had seen better days. The pool was freezing cold and not warm enough to relax at the side of the pool until our treatment. So we went around 30 mins early to the treatment area hoping of a chance to be seen earlier however no staff were on the desk or were in sight at all until a minute before our treatment. However our massage was lovely and the girls were very friendly, seemed to be just the two of them on shift. Our dinner was pre booked for us at 7.45 so we went down to the restaurant which again wasn’t very warm. The al a carte menu given to us had a choice of 4 or 5 of each course, none of which we would usually order however I had sea bass which was small but tasty.. we were just tempted to order more snacks off the bar menu later as weren’t full. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choice and again staff efficient and friendly. Overall we had a nice break however feel the spa area definitely let the hotel down and would of been nice to of been notified of the cold water issue in the pool and sauna out of use prior to our visit or on arrival and perhaps even given a complimentary drink or money off our robe hire to compensate this.

« Excellent customer service »

All the staff were so attentive and professional. Really happy and helpful. The food was amazing! Room 18 was lovely and clean and modern! The only constructive critique I can make is you can hear the music from the bar in this room.

« Very relaxing and enjoyable. »

An overnight stay for my wife's birthday. Dinner was lovely and cooked perfectly. Breakfast was too and plenty of chose from. Spa facilities seemed dated and the environment was cold, meaning relaxing and spending longer there was not possible.
