Nice hotel in an excellent location with friendly staff. However, I’d booked a two-night spa wellness package which should have included complimentary treatments and was told by the (polite) spa receptionist they were full all weekend and that I should’ve booked in advance which seems to be rather back to front. Lovely breakfast, although evening meals were a limited buffet given they don’t seem to have many people using the restaurant at night.

Location and Customer Service is this hotel's saving grace. Would not return only for these redeeming factors. Robin on Reception has probably the best Customer Service we have encountered

I attended the spa here which was kindly gifted to me for my birthday. It was a lovely experience, both ladies who did my treatments were very nice and friendly. Only little things was unfortunately no ice in the cold sauna and a little inconvenient having to go all way up to reception every-time you wanted a coffee but overall a great experience and will absolutely go again 😃

As my review title states....thank goodness for Robin on Reception. What a gem of a person and the elite in Customer Service. When we arrived in our room, there were a few problems. After speaking to Robin, he offered to change our room, showing us an alternative, and help with the packing and unpacking. We decided to stay in our original room and Robin went above and beyond to make sure all was corrected, spending a considerable amount of time and patience making sure we were happy. Our room(201)had a fabulous view of the Peace Gardens and was light and spacious. The comfort of the bed was average, but cleanliness was of a high standard. Everything worked well apart from the safe which we had to have replaced. One thing that surprised me was that you are unable to have breakfast served to your room. I was told this was because the breakfast is served as a buffet in the restaurant... you can have your breakfast in your room but have to firstly fetch it yourself. This is the first time I have encountered this...elsewhere I have always had the option providing I pay a tray service charge. That said, we have boked our stay for next year(minus breakfast) Thank you Robin...you made our stay fabulous and the reason why we are returning next year. I hope you get the recognition you deserve as you are truly an asset to this hotel. Hope we will have the pleasure of meeting you again on our return visit.

Perfectly fine hotel, starting to show it's age a little. Most staff happy and helpful. Cooked Breakfast offering somewhat sparse, but ok.
