Evening restaurant staff were nice and polite but they were rushing around, they must of never been that busy. Maybe more staff are needed. Morning breakfast staff- was told to take a seat and not one clear/clean table. Need to be quicker tidying up tables

We had no issues in getting to our room and our room was of a good size and clean with modern decor and the bed was comfortable. We had breakfast included in our stay and received a discount for booking onto a wedding party, paying £90 for 1 night for 1 room. The breakfast service very busy and the staff didn’t seem to cope well, we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated although there were plenty of empty tables and we were disappointed that it was a buffet.

Quality of the food and the spa were brilliant, as was the deal to visit. Sadly, the experience was let down by the speed of service from the kitchen, the farce of a breakfast (no tables, then no cutlery and finally no food) and grubby/dirty furniture in the rooms.

Check in very efficient room however extremely hot which could not be helped due to extreme weather. Hotel for wedding good although removing wine from tables whilst still drinking not good!! Breakfast very poor!!

Nice polite staff, but dinner took ages, seemed understaffed, no proper guidance in the stay and what I should do such as booking a dinner reservation rather than turning up, it wasn’t very organised and it seemed the hotel could not cope with the amount of people which generally they should be able to. Hotel is nice, old fashioned, but clean.

Our stay with you was pleasant. We booked your hotel because my sister in law was getting married there. The room was spacious and clean. Plenty of facilities.. Downside abit of a walk from room to function room. Had to walk into hotel out of hotel to the courtyard end of the hotel where our room was located and all the rest of the family was located in the main hotel, your drink prices are slightly on the high side for a hotel. Netherless that wouldn't stop me from booking a stay at your hotel again. The food was amazing.

We were attending an evening wedding reception, we arrived early to use the facilities to be told our room wasn't ready, we were aware of check in times and just wanted information about the pool area, a bit of a frosty reception! The bar area in the hotel was so small and staffing levels were not sufficient to cope with the wedding party and additional guests wanting a drink resulting in long waiting times. The pool area and staff were lovely and very helpful. Upon checking into our room, it was nice a mix of old and new but the plastic bit where the shower glass panel was, it was filthy and just disappointing. So, then we decide to order room service. So, I call the restaurant it rang and rang and no answer I then call reception to ask if anyone was available and before I could explain they put me through to the restaurant and again no answer. So I decided to walk to the restaurant to order my food to be told the restaurant was closed and I had to queue at the bar, so not quite the service offered on the room service menu. I ordered my food and decided to collect it as I didn't fancy my chances of getting it hot due to the service so far. We also tried to call reception 2 times to ask for an iron and ironing board and again no answer, so my partner walked down and collected it himself. Upon walking to the evening wedding reception, we decided to return the iron and ironing board to the reception rather than leave it in the corridor, to be greeted by the receptionist saying ' what have you bought that back for, you could have left it outside the room'. No thank you for returning it I was flabbergasted at her rude response! The function of the evening wedding reception was lovely with lovely staff albeit the bar queues at times were longer than they should have been! Our breakfast we decided to have room service, it was delivered 15 minutes late, that aside, no condiments, sauces or teaspoons, but we decided it wasn't worth trying to ring reception for the items as we may never get through. This was our 1st experience of Mecure hotel and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. It seemed to me the hotel cannot manage a function and additional guests at the same time and give a good service that much was evident. The reception staff need some customer service training! The bar staff we encountered were a credit to you albeit they were continually rushed off their feet, polite and did the best they could being rushed off their feet! So that’s my review!

From the moment we checked in, which was painless and friendly, our expectations were met completely. From the rooms to the restaurant & spa and the location and staff, we were happy with our night away; just disappointed we couldn’t book for two nights as we would have loved to stay longer!

A comedy show from begining to end. Breakfast first morning at 9.10 had no plates, hash browns,eggs, pudding,bacon,croisants, orange juice, apple juice. Booked dinner b+b package for international fishing competition,was told we had to go to buffet with the teams at 7.30 which was another total disaster, then the next evening was equally as badly organized and the final "banquet" which we had to pay a supplement for (those who didnt pay the supplement were told they still had to go to it as they were not allowed into restaurant at the hotel,some were eventually allowed as there were not enough tables set up in the banquet hall) despite being aware of the numbers attending for weeks in advance this place failed miserably on every meal.

Good on the whole, staff very polite. Carpets look scruffy and worn. Bedroom doors slam if windows are open and there is a lot of noise from rooms upstairs if you are on lower floor. Food service in banquet hall very very slow

We were greeted by a lovely receptionist who got us checked into our room nice and quickly and booked us a meal in the restaurant, our room 155 was spotless and spacious. We made our way over to the spa where we enjoyed a relax in the sauna, steam room and pool, the only thing missing would have been a jacuzzi. The meal on th night was extremely pleasant although a very small menu (possibly due to the fact it was included in the price so that was disappointing) the I ordered a drink which never came but was charg d for but I managed to notice before I payed. Breakfast was okay there was little left at the time that we went down about 9ish, overall great stay And would love to come back maybe pay for the meal separately see if we get a better experience. Look forward to coming back soon.

Very friendly and helpful. All your staff were welcoming and courteous. The room we had was convenient,clean and adequate. The food was very good and portions generous . Your manager for our family get together to was particularly efficient helpful and attentive so that we all would like to make this an annual event at Brandon Hall. We arrived at 2pm but our room was not ready so would have preferred the stated check in time to be 3pm......this was inconvenient as we had travelled a distance and were ready to get unpacked and comfortable......and it was very warm.

We have stayed a number of times this time I didn't find it restful 1- got there said I had paid showed proof In the end 2 - faulse advertisement showed leaflet in room doing afternoon tea all ways had so very disappointed when they said they do it anymore 3- lovely choice of meals on the Friday from menu then suddenly on the Saturday evening we were only allowed a very small choice ( all the years I have been this has never happened 4- you need to update furniture in room as not matching and stained plus no fridge which we have usually 5- too noisy people don't have respect of others sleeping it sounded like cases being pulled down stairs all the time so it all comes down too had a terrible time and will not be staying again I've told the agency I went with too
