went for spa weekend no hot tub. steam room not working so disappointing. had an upgrade to a premier room that was nice. Food oh my God the food was so salty we sent the starter back and chose a different one. when the main came fillet steak and chips was so salty was inedible. chef is very poor needs to be trained or sacked didnt eat there the second night even though it was in our package. hotel credited the food element. Not up to the usual company standards. i would not stay in this hotel again

Our experience was on the whole fantastic the only thing was that the hotel, especially the dinning room and parts of the bar and sometimes in the room, were infested with small black flies. This is a small grumble as I know it isn't the fault of the hotels. The staff were fantastic and very understanding as the flies were landing on our food and in our glasses of wine. To be honest we had a bottle of wine on the house due to the situation which was very generous. Overall or stay was brilliant.

We were attending a special function so therefore could not make a fair judgement on any of the facilities outside of the function. We were a little surprised at no safe availability in the room. The venue was pleasant and the staff polite and obliging.

The Meal in the restaurant was very dissapointing. Flys everywhere made it very uncomfortable and offputting. especially when they were landing on your food and drinks.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and spacious. We had a meal in the restaurant which was very nice and we would go back again for food. Breakfast was also very tasty.

« Relaxing stop-off in beautiful surroundings »

Always a good welcome - this was my fourth visit to Brandon Hall. The room was perfect. I had come equipped to sample the pool, but 5 minutes relaxing on the bed and I woke up 2 hours later! Fabulous night's sleep and a superb breakfast. All the staff are very attentive, pleasant and smiling. Another lovely relaxing stay - thank you. (PS - the spelling of 'desserts' on the menu in the room was incorrect - it said 'deserts'!!)

« Fantastic staff and facilities »

The staff were so friendly and professional and nothing was too much bother for them. The main area was clean, warm and welcoming. We felt right at home and would definitely come again and recommend to friends and family. The cost was cheaper by ringing direct and not doing groupon or wowcher. Whilst we had a fantastic stay I was disappointed that we could not have our treatments on the arrival day. I had emailed our requests through however it was missed and therefore when I phoned the day before arrival there was no space. The suite was spacious and clean although a little dated in the bathroom.

Really bad can't eat lunch had to go out to get some Can't get any spa treatments all weekend and could only get by the swimming pool at 7pm Breakfast no bread/pastry 's/milk/orange juice only when asked for it Room really small Only give 2 rating because evening meal was nice Don't waste your money

Fine overall but in need of some fine tuning! An in room booklet covering the mysteries of operating their TV and similarly making room to room calls. Food was excellent and the service was fine once they got started. Just needs some thought and some management love!

There were clear issues with flies in the dining room. I had one land in my wine as well as my water on Friday evening! My wine was replaced which is the least that could’ve been done. On Saturday, we had the same issue, again a fly landed in my wine, we were moved to another table and wine replaced but had more issues with flies as my husband had 2 land in his food. Our meal was ruined as we felt we had to rush it! Upon receiving the bill, we were expected to pay for the suppliment, (even though the manager was fully aware as he stated they were getting fumigators to deal with the situation), this charge was only removed after my husband raised the point that he had flies land in his meal. Totally unacceptable. We have been loyal customers attending Brandon Hall for weekend stays over the last 3.5 years and have never had this issue, although if it was the first time we would not recommend to anyone, based on the dining experience and if we had not questioned the bill we would have had to pay for the pleasure of having food with unwanted added extra’s!

« Pleasantly situated hotel, friendly staff, good room and spa facilities. »

The one slight criticism I have is that the service from the restaurant was a little slow. The food once it arrived was however excellent.
