Very nice hotel. We were a family booking for 4 rooms, 2 for 3 nights and 2 for 1 night. On check out I went to pay for my 3 night stay to be told the night shift had already charged my card. I asked to check the bill and I had been charged 3 nights car parking. This should have been on one of the other bills who drove me there. I had not filled in any details of the car when I checked in. This was corrected but the refund will take 7 to 10 days to come through. There was then confusion when my sister came to pay for the other 3 rooms as to what had been charged to whom. This system of the night shift doing the charging just caused confusion. I have stayed at many hotels around the world and you always check the bill and pay on leaving.

Great hotel, shame about £10 charge to use the pool

Jinny15 Families - TripAdvisor review

We had another great weekend staying at this hotel. Was very disappointed that since April 2024, they are now charging £10 per person to use the pool. We had an incident just after we checked in which was quickly reported to Jake, the Duty Manager. Jake listened to my concerns in a professional and reassuring way and made sure we enjoyed our stay. We are looking forward to coming back later in the year.

Thank you for leaving a review and I am very happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again later in the year. Kind regards Jake Mountford | Duty Manager

Long weekend break in suite room

Great location next to centre and withing easy walking distance. Good car park size. We had the suite but extra bed and sofa bed mattress really tired and made for an uncomfortable sleep. Pool was lovely and heated with jacuzzi and sauna. Breakfast was good but service poor as too often food would run out, made my mistake with our vegetarian order, and if only staff tried smiling more in general.

Thank you for leaving a review and are glad to see overall you enjoyed your stay. I will discuss your feedback with the departments involved and we hope you stay with us again soon. Kind regards Jake Mountford | Duty Manager

Small annoyances, still no heating in executive suite, had to request small oil heaters to be brought up, same as last visit a year ago, ( air con does not work , needs an overhaul throughout hotel. No one answers phone at reception on a Sunday pm , rang 3 times over an hour, no answer. Eventually walked down, no one visible at reception desk, eventually a man appeared from a back room. Staff at breakfast not very proactive, eg counted 4 stood around chatting whilst dirty plates etc were piled up on guest tables, same in bar area the previous evening, just doesn’t look professional, small things that could easily be put right.
