« Terribly neglected hotel »

We had to be in town for a funeral and the hotel only made us more depressed. In urgent need of updating and some tlc. Considering its excellent location in the town centre . The only highlight a good breakfast seved by attentive and welcoming staff.

Reception information could have been more helpful. No heating in room on arrival (213) despite it being winter until someone on the same flor complained. Breakfast food was nicely laid out but the "hot" dishes WERE NOT HOT!

Good overall, excellent location, room a little tired but perfectly serviceable, staff friendly. Bar had no price list on display nor could the bar staff find one, first pint was to be a Stella but that had run out, second was a Bud light which was cloudy and off, switched to a small bottle of Peroni and was charges £4.30 equating to £8.60 a pint (compared with £4.50 for a pint of Guinness) ridiculous - and no price list to warn anyone.

Room was clean, but lights didn’t work properly - we got dressed for a wedding in the gloom, room was freezing on arrival - after leaving in a bit of a rush the next morning I realised I had left a wash bag and set of hair clippers in the room. Called the hotel the next day and housekeeping had ‘not found anything’ in the room. Also on arrival £20 was taken off my credit card for extras as a deposit a week later had not been refunded.

As for your lost item....I have investigated today and it was confirmed to me that nothing was left in the room. All lost and found items are stored locally and guests are informed immediately when items are found in the checked out rooms. Regarding the Pre-authorized £20, you should have got them back as it is a pre-authorization only...we do not debit that amount. Please check your account and if you do not have it back, let me know...I will make sure you get them promptly. Sorry for hat. « A very pleasant Christmas break with a few shortcomings »

I was very happy with the room and its cleanliness and the location of the hotel (I’ve stayed here before so was familiar with the location). The staff in the dining room, reception and bar were very friendly and helpful, however, the vegetarian food options weren’t wildly inspiring. It would have been helpful to have had a printed sheet giving the times of meals, etc because we had no idea when the evening buffets started and finished. My greatest gripe was the coffee machine, which you’ve never had before, mainly because it kept going wrong.

Our welcome by the receptionists was very friendly, despite the fact that the reception area was almost non-existent. We found the hotel in need of some refurbishment, especially our bathroom. The rotten window frame allowed access for garden slugs to enter beneath the glass. The toilet bowl was badly stained and the flush somewhat temperamental. The shower over the bath could not be regulated to achieve a comfortable temperature. The room itself was on the cold side, when compared to the temperature in the corridor. Whilst walking along the corridor to our room I was struck by the minimalistic, or stark, decoration. As a rule I do not complain about the facilities provided by hotels, nevertheless, this hotel needs a great deal of TLC. I have family connections in Farnham and will look elsewhere for my accommodation in future.

I’ve never stayed in the hotel before and decided we would stay so booked it. I was a little surprised how much it was to stay one night compared to the premier inn. Bathroom shower screen had mould growing on the bottom section of it, overall appearance of our room was really dated and my wife found the mattress too hard. I didn’t eat there as didn’t feel it was value for money. Some friends of ours stayed in a hotel nearby, which I would regard as a budget cost hotel they paid half the cost of what we paid with breakfast and were satisfied completely. Overall staff were friendly parking was ample, location ideal but really disappointed with cost and standard.

« Staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible,always with smiles on their faces. »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you, and hope to return at some time in the future. The room was very comfortably furnished to a high standard. Our only criticism would be that towels were a little on the small side and thin. The view from our window was very pleasing, and great during the summer months, we would think. The food was excellent for the price that we paid and plentiful too. We would not hesitate to recommend you to friends.

« Paid for superior room, given lesser »

We await Viktor's resolution re the issues surrounding our stay. The DM was not around to approve the refund Viktor proposed. We had paid for a Superior double room but Viktor explained it hadn't registered on the system so we didn't receive what we had paid for. He proposed refunding the difference between what we were showing on your computer as having booked vs my booking confirmation/ the price paid. Overall, we enjoyed staying in Farnham, but were disappointed by the hotel. It's my home town and it was a present to have a night away without our children. We have a long family association with events at the Bush. On check in, our room was missing various basics eg tissues, which despite requesting were never provided for the empty box. However we also noted the lack of robes, slippers, luxury toiletries etc which were part of the superior room rate (the top option). Some of these were provided on request although we were told we hadn't been entitled. However, on check in, having showed the booking confirmation, the hotel realised it was wrong. There were many other issues eg fridge unstocked on check in so no water, no plates provided with breakfast in our room, teas not restocked, only one coffee cup. I did have a list which I shared with Viktor so won't go through again here. Viktor asked if we were happy he email/ sort out the refund post check out and my husband did ask it be done promptly so we hope you hear from you today.

We found the Hotel beautiful if a bit tired. The staff were fantastic and we were amazed at their energy. Our room was lovely and the chocolates yummy. We could not fault the food in any way. We just thought there would be more of a Christmas atmosphere
