Staying in Farnham is always nice. Bar is very welcoming, breakfast is tasty and with a wide selection. A very pleasant old building in the centre of the village. Glad you got the check in sorted, looking forward to see the renovated rooms.

Attending a family wedding we stayed at the Farnham Bush for a long weekend. We were lucky enough to have small 'wing' to ourselves comprising 4 of the recently refurbished rooms which were very comfortable 0 especially the beds. Staff were helpful and friendly and dealt quickly with any problems we had - a TV that wasn't working, a room that was not ready and a power breaker that had tripped. Equally the bar and restaurant staff were polite and helpful and the breakfast in particular was very good. I know some guests have complained about the creaky floors, but to my mind that is part of the charm as it is a building with history after all.

Horrible beds, pillows worse . Carpet held together with tape. Walls thinner than a supermodel on a diet. Floors creak when ever anyone walks buy your room.

We had a lovely room in the main part of the hotel. Breakfast was great. The staff were really helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable

Expensive - wanted to charge us full breakfast price for a cup of coffee when we told the staff that my wife only wanted that for breakfast. Not up to standard food-wise. Builders and van seemed everywhere

It’s fun to stay at your hotel but you seriously need to do something about the beds and get some new lamps while your at it, the room was gloomy at night even with all the lights on

A comfortable, well positioned, well run hotel. Clean and well kept. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Good value for money considering the upmarket area it's in. No hesitation in returning here.

As flight crew who were operating later in the day we requested a late check out at 1300pm which was initially agreed to. We then received a phone call to advise that this was no longer approved as a large group was due to check in. The manager had apparently over ridden the receptionist. Had we been told that in the first place I would have understood and not be writing this. Secondly, on check out I requested a paper invoice as this is required for me to submit to my Company. I was told that the manager had instructed the reception to only e mail invoices. I can’t say that these 2 points made me feel a particularly valued customer. I am a very regular customer of Accor hotels and a great fan but think that in this instance the Manager should review his policies. Being offered a complimentary drink as a good will gesture fell short of my expectations.

Check in was not smooth because told the room had not been paid for despite being an advanced purchase room. Good central Farnham location. Breakfast was ok, but bacon rind could have crispier.

Noise shop front bedroom

I was very disappointed with the room i was allocated. Room 1, (should be called shop front 1). Night 1 the persons above walking up and down with very creaky floors, until gone mid night, annoying but part of a old buildings character. Night 2 same persons walking above, plus groups of people walking into the courtyard and heading to the hotel bar (door to bar next to Room 1) until gone midnight and then after that someone throwing bottles away somewhere behind the rear of the room, for a good hour. With myself working for long hours the last thing i need was a lack of sleep. A positive the staff were very friendly, and the porridge at breakfast was the best i have ever tasted. I was prepared to let the reception on checkout know my grumbles but the lady seemed paperwork was more important, i couldn't hold on as I running late for work.

My experience was very bad due to incident that occurred when i checked out. I asked to have a paper receipt, the reception desk said no using the argument that the hotel was paper less. Then, after 10 minutes trying to receive an email with receipt, i asked for such paper evidence. I got it but in a not so polite act from receptionist. The room corridor had no carpet, what gave me a perception of a dirt place.

Technology disappointment

Staff were great. Breakfast was good. Hotel was rustic in a good way. However check in through the app was possible on the app but not possible at this hotel so completely pointless. No air conditioning in the room is a big negative. Appreciate the hotel was old and that was a good plus point. But our room was so hot. In this day and age if you can’t fit “proper” air con then some kind of mobile alternative even a fan should be available.

Nice hotel but in room next to refurbishment. Very long walk to room plus noise from workmen plus H N S issues. These were reported to reception and rectified as far as possible
