« Great, could have been fantastic »

Positives - Food fantastic. Service good overall really enjoyed it. Down side -there was no drinks left when we got to the drinks reception some people had taken a couple each. The name on the table plan was Sandra Foulds instead of Susan.Foulds I asked the lady if this was me as Foulds isn't a common name she just said no I don't think so check the table plan again, not helpful. Although it was unavoidable, it was disappointing that all the electrics went off once midnight came and everyone had started dancing. Finally we was enjoying a quiet drink in the bar at the end of the evening when an altercation occured in the bar with people who I believe had been at a wedding. The Police were called and they shut the bar. Whilst I understand the reasons for shutting the bar, I like to be able to choose when I go to bed. I do want to finish by saying all 8 peoplein our party enjoyed thenselves.

Hotel is ok. There are little annoying things such as: no wash clothes, no “Do Not Disturb” signs for a he door, etc. The restaurant could also have more selection and better execution.

No heating in first room but moved when we complained. Room very comfortable apart from shower which was very poor, very spasmodic and temperature not static.

just a 1 night stay check into a room at side of building boiling hot inside yet not radiators thermostat or aircon in room went out in the evening came back and boiling hot water coming out of the cold tap went to reception to complain waited 10 minutes but no one was there..as a result with heat in room and no cold water to drink did not get a wink of sleep.Also the day we arrived my wife ordered some chips from the bar near the pool and took 40 minutes to come,when we chased it the waitress she had 'forgot' and hadn't put the order through..on the morning we left we put a complaint in to Aziz the manager who took our details and promised us a free night stay and would be back to us same day ..we are still yet to hear from him which just shows the lack of organisation from this hotel..we stayed the night of 29 Dec it's now 7 January..my number is 07…42 should you wish to discuss it

Very enjoyable. Appreciated the free upgrade to an executive room. Food was excellent given the large number of guests at the event. Singers were ok - one was better than the other. Preferred the disco.

Room nice and warm, clean. Breakfast delicious. Helpful staff. Enjoyed the pool and thermal rooms. Not keen on the choice of draft lager though; only one on offer. Drinks a bit expensive.

« A lovely relaxing break. »

The overall experience was relaxing and much needed. Our room was recently refurbished very tastefully with all required amenities catered for. The spa treatment was superb, general spa area is in need of updating and the pool was a little cold. The evening menu was a tad basic, but the food was well cooked with good presentation and staff were all helpful and professional.

We were attending the black tie New Year's Eve gala for the third consecutive year. All the rooms were fine but just one or two points about the actual event. There was no Proseco when we arrived - when I asked I was told they hadn't actually run out but people had been taking two or three glasses - I think you would agree that was not acceptable. We were a group of nine and sat right next to the ladies toilet - this didn't cause too much trouble but after we had eaten and during the entertainment, members of staff tried to squeeze in another table between us and the next table. Quite frankly there was not room, but would have happened had not one of our group objected to this.

We come here quite often as my husband is a member of the gym. Our stay was generally ok, the only thing was in the room there should be a fridge as I have a young baby that still requires a bottle at night and in the morning. There was no facilities to keep the milk cold and therefore she went without! The food in the evening was perfection, so massive congratulations to the chef and staff for that. When we checked in we were hoping to go swimming with our baby, but this closed early without any warning when we booked.

We were in the main building while the rest of our party were in the Courtyard. Our room has been refurbished however there was no drawer space, assume this was because the unit at the back of the door was locked and bolted, as we were their for 3 nights this was a wee bit difficult as no where to store your underwear. This did not stop us from having a very pleasant stay.

East check in, and room very well signposted. We stayed in an executive room, would have expected to have sofa, or soft chairs, just a chair and a stand chair. Bed comfortable, but the pillows were very uncomfortable, hard and flat. Milk potions...my personal hate, if a fridge in room why no milk. Bathroom clean and good sized with shower and bath. Plenty of toiletories provided. Very good breakfast, plenty of it and hot. Residents bar very good, and all the staff we interacted with were professional and polite. Overall we had a great new year eve stay and look forward to next year. Just a side bar. ..we did enquire if the singer for the entertainment was drunk as he was Terribke, he was missing words, singing wrong words and slurring his words...not as good as last year, in fact he was that terrible he Was funny.

Another great stay over the new year celebration period. Can't fault the staff who are for the most part, friendly and helpful. Would suggest that the management make it a policy to not to allow unescorted children to run wild about the premises whilst they are guests at wedding venues. Rooms probably need a little updating and better quality towels and toiletries provided.

Overall pleased to have returned to familiar surroundings where staff give an excellent welcome and service. However, room 5 is totally inadequate and outdated and we had to be moved. The executive bedroom 514 requires some duty of care and had to report broken table lamp and bathroom mirror. Otherwise most enjoyable and will certainly return.
