I was impressed by the courtesy, efficiency, and friendliness of staff. Nothing was too much trouble The hotel was immaculately clean.I very much liked the open plan lounge/reception area.I hope to stay there again sometime

All the staff we encountered were very helpful and courteous, the reception desk staff in particular are worthy of note. The room (116) was okay but the carpet needed refitting i.e. it was a bit baggy and ‘ruffled’. I would be happy to stay in this hotel again and it is in a good central location.

« A very cosy, comfortable and friendly centrally located hotel. »

We were a party of 4 in 2 double rooms, we had pre-booked and paid some weeks earlier. The rooms were originally allocated at opposite ends of the hotel on different floors, 111 street view and 203 car park view. I asked for an alternative room closer to 111 as it was the nicer of the two. We were allocated 116 which although smaller was nicer than 203 and with a courtyard view. However, although the bathroom in 116 was newer, the separate shower mixer would not work at all, completely dry. I raised it with reception after our friends reported that they had to have baths - they are shower people - and was told on Saturday morning that there is no weekend maintenance service; which I found quite a surprise. What happens if there is a burst pipe or a serious leak or electrical safety problem?? If the lady had at least offered to look at or send someone to look at it, maybe it would have been a simple solution. I think not though because the man in that room is and electrician/plumber and would have noticed if it was an obvious valve shut off or similar. A number of other small issues did make our stay less than the excellent experience that it should have been considering the location and general friendliness of your staff. Bedside lights in both 111 and 116 did not work and the wall socket in 111 for the standard lamp was loose in the wall, almost pulled out. The heating in 116 was very difficult to adjust, to get any heat at all. The radiators in 111 had been completely shut off as well as the backup isolating valves and until we sorted that had become very cold indeed. The TV in 111 is enormous and gets in the way, it is also heavy and I do question how safe it is bolted on so close to the wall corner. A TV some inches smaller would suffice and be less intrusive. But ......... the breakfast was excellent, incredible choices and, hot and very tasty. Evening meal was very good, both taste and value. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beds were comfortable Shower good. Rooms are however very different and inconsistent in sizing for the same category.

i have stayed at White Hart several times a year over a 30 year period and seen its various changes. Most of the rooms are great but some still need upgraded. The staff and service was excellent and the Bar food good.

The receptionist at the hotel was so welcoming and friendly. Great room, comfortable beds and lovely breakfast. The £5 room service charge is quite alot as we just wanted to order drinks and considering there is no lift perhaps that could be reviewed. But overall a good stay in a great location

The staff couldn’t do enough (including original booking experience, checking in/out, making me a late night cup of tea). General hotel areas were great and comfortable. The hotel room (227) was clean and spacious, but unfortunately very noisy - situated over a unit of some sort that ran all night - so it wasn’t the best night’s sleep. My partner enjoyed the breakfast buffet, but my ordered breakfast (porridge) got forgotten, so by the time I managed to get the attention of a waitress to check the status of the order (which had clearly been forgotten and not started) I had to go without, as I was out of time. It’s a shame about the noisy room and the forgotten breakfast order, as overall the hotel was situated in a good area, the staff were great, and the general experience was good. Just unfortunate that at a cost of over £100 neither myself or my partner got any sleep and one of us got no breakfast!

« Very nice hotel, great staff, a little disapointed by the size of the room for the three of us. »

Good, the room was far to hot! Opened all windows to cool down. We had an executive room with four poster all a bit cramped would have preferred a larger room without the four poster apparently there are two rooms according to reception which we could have had. Excellent breakfast with very good serving staff. Air extractors very noisy in the night do they have to be on?

« The staff were friendly. I'm pleased that we stayed in the Premier Room. »

The hotel was clean and warm. The bathroom was rather small. It was well placed for exploring the city. We did not like having to pay extra for the car park, especially as non residents eating at the hotel paid nothing.

An old building, in the centre of Salisbury, the location and parking were great. It’s pretty good for a chain hotel, varied range for breakfast, our room was large, bathroom a bit small but pleased to see an actual bath!

I booked 4 rooms for a family birthday visit to Salisbury. All were well situated. I was upgraded to a great room with seating area and I was contacted several weeks before my staff to sort out a room with a walk in shower for my mother. Parking is good. All well located.
