« Not up to usual standards »

Not great - the room was freezing cold on arrival with no radiators on - why when it is so cold and wet outside and you know the room is to be allocated is the heating not turned on, heavy duty curtains hanging off rail, no sound on TV, heated towel rail in bathroom did not work, generally very dirty by curtains and radiators including leaves etc where it had not been cleaned properly, lighting was appalling especially for a lady trying to put on make up and do her hair !

The customer service and quality of hotel room would have received a 10, if not for the fact I suffered a large burn from the heated towel rail in the room. This was reported as an accident, with an incident form and photographic evidence emailed to Emma at the hotel, whom I look forward to hearing from with the outcome of her investigation.

The towel rail is manually controlled via an electric switch on the outside of the bathroom door. I have asked that the housekeeping team ensure that these are in a switched off position when servicing the bedrooms. Mostly things were fine - improvements could include - instructions for the in room coffee machine, instructions for making room cooler/warmer.Branding is confusing, why Accor and Mercury?

« Third time with disrupted sleep. I don't think there one quiet bedroom. »

Staff are fine and food is okay but at 1:30 in the morning when the air-conditioning decided to rattle I couldn't turn it off so I picked up the phone to call reception and the wire came away in my hand. The phone doesn't work. I called reception on my mobile who turned the Aircon off. Toilet only half flushes.

As usual, very polite staff, good service, excellent breakfast. Room however was definitely becoming a bit run down - carpet threadbare in places, small things like loose towel hooks on bathroom door, covers missing from shower controls, very creaky floorboards

« A very poor experience in hotels of Accor Group »

To all guests who is planning a stay in Hotels by Accor Group, please aware! I suffered a tricky stay! I booked 3 rooms for my Mid-Jan18 UK trip under the terms of “free cancellation, 24 hours before check-in” with 1 reference number in early December17. Due to schedule changed, I cancelled this unique booking number and re-book for my stay with my family in late-Dec17. However, when I clicked the button “cancel this reservation”, only 2 rooms were being deleted but the remaining 1 was stuck on the booking, I noticed this situation when I returned from UK last week. Hence, I am asking for the NO-SHOW room rate payment at the moment. I feel disappointed on the service provided by Accor. Obviously, that is a system fault. However, the guest was suffered from the case and was asked for extra money. Honestly, the room was ok.
