On arrival we were told our room would be ready in 15 minutes and to have a seat. Over an hour later we were finally given our room key. No information on the hotel or surrounding area was shared. We went up to the room to find it in very poor condition. The linens (sheets and towels included) had stains , holes or both in them. The floor had a tacky unclean feeling. We spent as little time as possible in the room because it was so terrible. The following morning we went down for the buffet breakfast but decided to pass because of the appearance of the food. Overall it was the worst hotel experience we have had in a very long time. We spend around 150 nights a year in hotels, so that is really saying something. It's too bad because the location is nice.

« Very Nice Hotel Overlooking the Nile - Handicapped/Mobility Impaired Accomodating »

Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Traveling with my 86-year-old father, who uses a scooter to get around, the hotel staff were very accommodating. The elevators and rooms are large enough for my father's scooter to fit in comfortably. The hotel does not have handicapped equipped rooms, but the toilet seats are high, and the bathrooms are fairly large with walk-in showers making it easy for my father to move about and shower comfortably. We liked this hotel so much we stayed on 2 separate occasions. Once for 4 nights at the beginning or our trip and again for 2 nights at the end of our trip. Both times we had a double room with 2 twin beds overlooking the Nile River. Beautiful View!! The rooms are large enough for my father to drive his scooter in and out with plenty of room to park it under the windows. There is still more room available to store his walker and several suitcases along one wall. This is in addition to the two comfortable chairs, coffee table, 2 beds, desk and closet. In other words, the rooms are of decent size. What I enjoyed the most was the night time view and music every evening coming from the boats along the Nile. I was able to see it all from my window or from the roof top restaurant. The roof top restaurant is easily accessible for handicapped or mobility impaired patrons as my father was able to ride his scooter from our room to the restaurant table. There is a hotel tour/taxi desk in the lobby. On several occasions we utilized the hotel taxi for round trip transport to the Cairo Egyptian Museum, which I could see from my room. Pretty cool large pink building! You could probably walk to the museum in about 10-15 minutes if you can brave crossing the street in Cairo traffic. :) My father's scooter breaks down into 5 parts easily stowed in the trunk of the hotel taxi. The driver was always ready to help take the scooter apart and load it in the truck, as well as, unload it and put it together. Anyway, the hotel taxi service if fantastic! Nice car and nice driver who drops you off directly in front of the Museum's entrance. He then gives you his phone number to call when you are ready to be picked up. For us that was always about 3-4 hours later. Once called he meets you in front of the museum in about 5 minutes. Excellent service. Unfortunately we did not book any tours, so I cannot comment on that service. Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and will definitely stay again.

I stayed for four nights for holidays. Although I had done the reservation one week before and did the check-in online, when I arrived late night the reserved room was not ready. I got an upgrade to a nice suite. I was asked to move next day, which I rejected. After some discussions with the stuff they never came back to me. The room at the corner had a nice view to the Nile. The hotel is centrally located and you can easily walk to some locations. Breakfast is good and the pool is nice too. The rooms seem to be renovated but the bathroom needs to be done again. For the price I expected more.

Hotel is clean and close to the Center of Cairo. There was very loud music till late time from the boats at the Nile opposite to the hotel. Complementary tea, coffee and water available in the room. Staff working at the restaurant, security and house-keeping are nice and friendly. Check in experience was wow, but check out experience was very poor, check out was the worst experience I ever had in Accor hotels, the staff seemed not professional at all as he kept talking to another customers while checking us out even though the other customers were being helped by another staff, no eye-contact and not focused with me at all, that I even told him 3 times that we don't have baggage in the room, but he wasn't focused with me and he sent the bell boy to the room to collect the baggage, even when I told him that we forgot something in the room he seemed useless. 10 mins before we go down to check out we called to ask for someone to check the minibar as Taxi was waiting but we still had to wait 20 mins at the reception till they check the minibar . Wifi was good during our stay. Many TV channels are available. Breakfast is good with many variety of food and live cooking station for egg. The area around the hotel is very live in the evening and It's easy to get taxi or Uber, but I would not love to stay there again.

This is the worst Accor property we have stayed in. The rooms were poorly maintained and classing it as a 4 star hotel is a stretch. The Reception staff were generally dismissive and need training in how to handle customer enquiries. Egyptians seem to get priority treatment over tourists. They can push to the front of the line and gain instant attention whilst the rest of us who line up must wait, without any acknowledgement of our existence. As an Accor member, there was no priority check in/check out. I was told upon check in that there was no room upgrade available, however, I was given an upgrade for the remaining 2 nights of my stay. Whilst the room was better and larger, there is a general need for refurbishment.In terms of location, there’s nothing much around unless you walk across the river and even then there didn’t seem to be too much happening. Breakfast was ordinary at best.Overall, this hotel is not up to the standard we have become accustomed to and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends or family.

Old building, the curtains and carpet are in need of a change. Poor quality breakfast, not many choices. The room is noisy, specially at night. Overall the room is not so clean. The location is very good.

Hotel is limited in facilities. It’s good for a short stays or on business. Reception staff could have been more warm and welcoming. The experience was okay. However, if I was visiting Cairo again, I would probably book elsewhere. Maybe I’m spoilt, but I think friendly customer service makes a huge difference to any experience.

excellent attention of hotel's staff, very good food, breakfast, lunch, meal for all hour that you need and also has two bars , incredible view of nile’s river, location privileged with fast access to all attractions. The objection is the noise of the boats with spectacle and music shows that have its port in the rivera of nile very close to the hotel.
