« Too many charges and frozen amounts »

It stay unclear for me why the hotel freeze amount of the bill in the restaurant and after that debit my account once again. Wherein the frozen amount will be unblocked only after 14 days. So if I visit the restaurant and have several bills, the hotel first of all will freeze that bills and after check out will debit my account once again. I do not understand such approach to the client. It is safe for the hotel and very inconvinient for the customer. I stayed for one night and had a dinner in the restaurant but the hotel debited my card for 4! times to secure itself. Poor service.

Dear Vacation08712873698, Thank you for your review. I regret that you are having difficulties with having the authorised amounts back on to your bank account. Please note that upon check out we used the the pre-authorisation as a payment for your stay. Once the payment was done the amount that was left on the authorisation was released staright away by the hotel. Although it is rare, it can happen that some bank institutions take longer to release the money that was authorised back on to your bank account. Please note that taking an authorisation upon check-in is common practice all over the world in 5* Hotels. This is to allow our guests to use all the hotels facilities and put those charges on the room-bill. I apologise if this was not communicated to you by our staff. It was overall very comfortable and nice. The only thing that bothered me was that breakfast was rushed and not included in the accommodation price. Breakfast I had was not worth with options I received. I would suggest a section be made for late guests who arrive late for breakfast so they can proceed undisturbed.

we staid with our small childgreat hotel - very elegant and stylish, and also great views of the city from the roomour room was the 'comfy' type - grey styling, very spacious - even with an extra bad for our child inside. don't miss the Das Loft during the sunset and early evening for great views and chick atmospherethe staff was very attentive and happy to comply and assist with every request.the hotel located about 7 min walk from the cathedral (center of the center) and just across the street from the metro (sorry, u-ban) and tram station (schwedenplatz)all in all an excellent experience, we'll be back again....

The concept and layout of the room were great in theory, but didn't deliver overall. The television was a consistent point of frustration, and the Sofitel beds that you are usually so famous for were terrible in the room i stayed in.

-rooms were spacious, but modern decor at times came at the expense of comfort -check-out experience with Angelo was the highlight. Front desk was very helpful in meeting our request. Changed from an average experience to a highly pleasant one. -reservation agent (Oliver) was very helpful, and delivered as promised -waiter at restaurant (Adam) provided the best service we received in Vienna -concierge, Shukrat (spelling?), was very helpful -staff at ground floor was not very helpful. A negative point in an overall positive experience

Hotel is super well located, just one bridge away for the city heart. Hotel rooms are quite impressive and the view of Vienna's city center is enormous. The restaurant is placed in the 18th floor and enjoys an unforgettable view with a very nice atmosphere. Staff is nice, but service in the restaurant shoulb be much better - it is not at the level you expect from that place! It is too slow, both at breakfast and dinner.

Very happy with the room and spa facilities, also found the receptionists helpful when checking in and leaving. The breakfast we found to be a poor experience. Host was extremely rude to my girlfriend when asking for some coffee and a menu, we ended up waiting forever to be looked after on both days so just gave up and left. For the price it was not good at all. We also found the bar downstairs to be very deceptive in their treatment of us. Gave us water without asking if we wanted it and then charged us for it, also with the drinks gave us all the most expensive spirits again without even asking. Just felt ripped off.
