« Very stylish and nice hotel; SPA is below expectations, restaurant service also not at the level of a top location »

Good location; clean, calm and spacious rooms, but a kind of "non-cosy" (you feel a bit like in a deluxe prison cell). Kind staff, but the service in the restaurant was below standards at the first night (brought wrong drinks, took long to correct, wine came after food, food was not warm etc). Also disappointing is the SPA with the sauna and relax rooms being not very functional and small.

Es freut uns zu lesen, dass Sie allgemein einen angenehmen Aufenthalt hatten. Schade, dass wir Sie aber nicht von unserem Service im Restaurant Das LOFT überzeugen konnten. Ich habe Ihre Kommentare an unseren Restaurant Manager weitergeleitet, mit dem ich gemeinsam Maßnahmen setzen werde, um unsere Servicequalität zu verbessern. Ich möchte mich bei Ihnen für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten entschuldigen. Ich bedaure zudem, dass Sie sich im Zimmer nicht so wohlgefühlt haben Das Konzept von Jean Nouvel ist sehr puristisch und modern, was natürlich nicht jedem Gast gefällt. Im Zuge der Renovierungsarbeiten im vergangenen Frühjahr haben wir neue Textilien verwendet um die Räume wohnlicher zu gestalten, ohne dabei das Konzept komplett zu ändern. Die Verwendung eines Teppichs ist hier jedoch nicht vorgesehen. Ihre Anmerkungen nehme ich aber sehr gerne auf und werde mit meinem Team besprechen, welche Alternativen für mehr Wohlfühlatmosphäre sinnvoll wären und wie eine Umsetzung ausehen könnte. « Great exclusive escape in a charming city »

Our stay at the SO Vienna could be defined as excellent. From the staff at the reception, the room and the top floor restaurant/bar, everything was smooth and perfect. We particularly appreciated all the amenities in the room, the attitude of the staff (very caring) and the quality of the breakfast. Our only bémol would be the spa - we did not book a massage or any treatment, but only visited the Hammam, Sauna and jacuzzi. It was one of our first stay in a SO and we were impressed by the implementation of the branding from the arrival at the reception, the payment of the bill in the restaurant (time to meet bill), the packaging of the products in the room, etc... We were expecting an open area with a view on the city. Compared to the other services, although it was very clean and functional, in our opinion it was less "charming" and given less attention to details. However, we had a great stay and would for sure recommend the SO Vienna to anybody willing to have a proper guest experience in Vienna. Also, we will be happy to be back soon! Last but not least, the value for money is great!

« Wonderful hotel, lovely staff, maybe a little disorganised... »

We had a wonderful time at your hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful across the whole hotel (check in, bar, restaurant) and they were very friendly and accomodating. The only comment I would make is that it felt a little bit sometimes like the staff were making work for themselves because the whole thing was a little disorganised (eg breakfast, the night club) and this isnt to say that they were not hard working, but that sometimes things seemed a little chaotic.

We stayed only one night, really liked the room and the view. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant is amazing, we were maybe looking for more smiles but anyway. Just for you to know we found expired date cream in the room (with the nespresso), the breakfast menu for room service was already used and there was a dirty spoon (like very dirty) with the welcome amenities by night. We liked it anyway and would have loved to stay more.

Really good. Didn’t love the all black lobby of the hotel. But did love the all white room. Simple, clean, and functional. You could improve the gym facility quite a bit with a few minor improvements. Some heavier free weights (and get rid of the slippery chrome weights - look nice but not functional). And a few other simple things like a jump rope, etc.

« An impressive hotel but a few points of dissatisfaction »

We had a modern spacious room with an acceptable view but the more we stayed in it the more we realised that it was poo;ly thought out for real living. It was minimalist to the point where there was nowhere to put things. The absence of a bedside table was a good example. Das Loft is certainly impressive but with a very limited menu so few people will eat there twice.

The French star architect Jean Nouvel wanted to forgo colorful elements and unnecessary ornaments which would distract from the spectacular view of Vienna. Therefore, our hotel is designed in a threefold color scheme namely black, white and grey. Your constructive criticism regarding the menu in our Das LOFT Restaurant has already been shared with our Executive Chef. This will be discussed in our next meeting. « Great vacation, wonderful hotel! »

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. We looked for hotel which will be also centrally located and with nice modern rooms and this was a perfect choice. We upgraded our room (to the grey rooms) and got a big, specious, comfortable clean and modern room with a cool and young vibe which made our stay in Vienna so much better!! The hotel is a short walking distance from all major sites. Indeed there are hotels which are more centrally located (and are usually very old ones) but for us the SO was close enough and except for Schenborn palace (which has a direct metro line just across the street of the hotel) we walked everywhere by foot. Breakfast is very nice and the view is amazing!! Staff was nice and friendly. We will definitely come back to this hotel in any future trip to Vienna.

This was our second stay here and we had an amazing time. It was my partners birthday and we were looked after really well. We have a beautiful loft Suite which has beautiful decor and every luxury you could want and an abundance of space with far reaching views over the city. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of items available to chose from. We enjoyed using the spa after a long day of exploring. I would like to thank Christina in particular for all her help both before we arrived and during our stay. She arranged for a beautiful bespoke cake for my partners birthday along with a bottle of champagne. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a very memorable stay. We cant wait to come back.

« Overall experience was good but it could have been great! »

1. The room was comfortable, modern with small gifts(teddy & bath toiletries) for the children we liked very much - thank you this perspective was excellent! 2. We arrived to the hotel at 2pm and the room was not ready. After asking the front desk officers many times when we would receive our room we got it at 4pm!! with two small children tired and hungry from the previous long trip we had. (Noting that the 2 families of our friends received their rooms immediately). We were offered a voucher for drinks at the Skybar but we were so exhausted we didnt even use it. - they could have offered at least a discount for our food instead of the drinks since i had prepaid everyhting. 3. We arrived hungry after a 5 hour drive through the snow storm and all your restauntrants were closed - couldnt serve us!! At the end we had room service at the entrance bar area. 4. I requested 500ml of warm milk to feed my kids in the evening and the charge was 11euros?!!!
