Rooms were exactly as advertised, I liked the idea of the hand washing basin outside of the toilet area. Breakfast had a great selection of different foods and always topped up, clean rooms and friendly staff. Thank you. We will definitely be back.

We had a one night stop before flying out. We found Novotel to be in a great central location, within walking distance to everything we needed. We were very impressed with our room and the room service we ordered. In the morning, we noticed one of our doonas was heavily stained with a range of rather unpleasant looking ones. This was very disappointing especially after both us and our kids are slept there. We did mention something on checkout and they told us they would inform housekeeping.

There wasn’t free WiFI the first time we stayed and then there was free WiFi the second time we stayed. Bathroom didn’t have lotion. Food and breakfast was really good.

Note that the layout of the room is confusing and it would be good to have a brief explanation of the room layout and where everything is at- i did not know the coffee was stored in the drawer with the electric heater.

« Fantastic Location - Novotel Cathedral Square »

We enjoyed our stay at the Novotel Cathedral Square. The room was a good size with good amenities. We didn't enjoy the shower - it was either too hot or too cold (no in between temperature) so made for very quick shower times. Our only real frustration was that we rang in advance to check about parking for our hire car. We were offered valet parking for $35/day which we felt was very steep and not something necessary for us, and we were also told there was plenty of free parking on the street - our best option. However, when we arrived, we were told there is no free parking on the street and we had to use the Wilsons carpark. A bit disappointing as this was not what we expected. However, on a good note, the Wilsons carpark is directly outside the front door - almost onsite, and ended up being approx $15/day so not too bad. Just wish we had of been told this when we rang prior to our arrival. Very nice breakfast - first day there was noone at the egg station... both ourselves and other people waited around 15 minutes before someone came out. Second day the egg station was manned. Everything at the breakfast buffet was well cooked and hot... loved the pastries!!

It is ok overall but couple things should improve. Arrived around 11am and the staff was very nice and friendly. She tried to put me into a room however, i was too early and no available room. Left my luggage in the hotel and went out. When i came back around 1pm, different staff checked me in. She is ok but she failed of telling me my breakfast was included and the any information regarding the breakfast. I missed my first morning of breakfast. This is also happened last time with the same hotel. The welcome coupon she gave to me also have the wrong date. Could not be bother to ask for new one in the end. The room is ok but be careful of the bathroom. The show is an open shower. There is no door. So the water would be everywhere. The bath mat was soaked. It made the floor slippery. Nearly slipped couple time.
