Everyday we have to call at reception and request them to clean the room. Vegetarian dishes should be increased in breakfast.

« Reservation Vanished......ended up paying higher than rack rate »

After months of being a satisfied Ibis guest, this time disappointed on two counts... ONE : The booking was done on accorhotels.com; got an invite to check-in online; while checking in online filled up all the details and while giving final confirmation, clicked 'OK', got an onscreen message as "Experiencing system error, try after some time". Repeated 3 to 4 times; same response. When landed at the hotel reception, was informed my booking is cancelled......The staff at the reception (Mr. Mohammed) was kind enough and "reinstated" the booking and luckily there were rooms available. TWO : The Ibis rack rate as displayed on the board outside was OMR30 per night. I ended up paying ~OMR44. I understand this was including breakfast and taxes; but I believe OMR14 is almost 50% of the room rate which I believe is too high. I was too busy during the stay and did not check it out with the staff. Also I trusted the staff at the reception; later realised it was a mistake.

Reception staff very nice and friendly. And thats all about good things. Room is not cleaned properly, especially bathroom. A lot of melt in the shower.

The staff was friendly, Nice location; Slightly bigger rooms than the known Ibis class; that means the charges are also equivalently higher. Shops and Restaurants are located quite near the Hotel; so one is not limited on eating options.

Generally all is good and as expected, but worst thing is about humidity inside the room and AC. As window is blocked for opening, it is a quite bad smell inside because of permanent humidity. And AC working quite loud, so disturbing the sleep. Last point, that somehow ventelation was not working properly at "restaraunt area", so all my clothes had unpleasant smell after I had breakfast (because fried and scrumbled eggs were cooked in the same area where everybody were sitting). This made a bad impression...

Extremely satisfied except some issues in room services.We have to call all the time to reception for room service and cleaning!! Receptionist Mr.Mohammed & other fellow are very nice and co-operative. Restaurant Ms.Norma and other two ladies are very co-operative & helpful.We feel very nice. Front Manager is very very co-operative and resolved all my problem within second!!!Suggesting to promote and give incentives to the staff!!

I stayed 4 nights at Ibis Muscat, And after being a silver member of Accor hotel application I am not granted the points saying I booked the ticket through booking.com. I tried to book directly through ibis, but it was informed there is no room. Whereas I found the option through another website on the same time.

It was very good, as always. Mohammad during the stay, and at check-out was excellent. Even gave me a welcome drink coupon because I had a few hours to kill after checking out. These little gestures go a long way in making your stay and overall experience very good. As a little feedback, the gym should be better. One treadmill hasn't been working since forever, there were no towels in the gym, and the floor, mats and equipment was dirty. Overall a very good stay.
