« Excellent service specially for long term customer like me »

As i'm a consultant and always in business trip, I always feel like home in Shenzhen Grand Mercure. Especially the staffs always know me very well including my habit and favor. There is one staff name 王智慧 ( Wang Zhihui ) I would like to specially mention. Every time I check in I dont need to say a word she will know what my request is.There is a time I want to issue invoice and I dont remember if I already did for last two weeks. I'm asking one staff and she just noticed and directly tell me I didnt do it for two weeks, which is very nice and I can feel how Ms. Wang know my habits. So in summary, always feeling good to stay in your hotel.

I booked 2 rooms on 19/1. I called hotel that morning telling that my parents would be arrived much earlier than mine (They arrived at 2 pm & I arrived at 4:30 pm). "Can my father (75 years old) check in his room first and please don't charge him room rate. Appreciated the Front desk staff and the lady who received my call & accepted my request. Grandparents & their grandsons enjoyed this trip very much.Ps: this is my 2nd time staying here.

This hotel is not really that good to be even a 4 Star hotel. However, it is value for money. They also have inadeuate number of English speaking staff. For my room, the Air-con is not really working. When set to 19, it is just blowing air at 26degC. They sent a technician, and appraently, he is very aware of the situation, and show me a "special" way to set the Air-con. It did not totally work, but at least it lower the temperature to around 22, even though set ay 19degC. In short, the hardware is malfunctioning, and the staff knows it. But the maintainance is not really carried out

I have booked this hotel 3rd times. Accor club can late check out to 5pm and have two welcome drinks. Hotel very close to MTR station (about 2 minutes). There is a supermarket nearby hotel. Very good hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Mercure hotel Shenzhen and would like to take this opportunity to praise three of your hotel staffs that offered enormous help during our stay. They are 王智慧 (Susan), 楊中瑜 (Ada) and 李雪瑩 (Sheey). We actually made the reservation through your official website, however, we received an email stating the payment was not successful and it advised us to make a new booking. (Attached below) Therefore, we made a new booking right away by clicking the “book” button on the email. When we arrived the hotel, we were told that we have made two bookings, one paid and the other one was on pre-authorised payment, and that staff told us that if we do not cancel one of the bookings on that day, we would be charged anyway. We asked if she could cancel one of the bookings for us, however, she told us it would not be possible as they were not permitted to do so. We were frustrated and did not know what to do at that time. Since we were from Hong Kong, we did not have a China mobile phone number and we definitely would not bother to use the telephone service inside the hotel room as it is expensive. Therefore we tried contacting Hong Kong and China Accor staffs using our own mobile phones despite the expensive international charges. However, there was a poor connection all the time when we were having a phone conversation with your staff in HK and we could not hear a thing. We spoke on phone for 15 minutes and we finally hung up the phone since we could not properly listen to what the lady said on phone. The international charges were expensive and it was a waste. We have never encountered anything like this ever before. We did not expect the trip would be so disturbing. Standing at the side filled with frustration, Susan, Ada and Sheey took the initiative to help us. We detailly explained the whole situation to them. They tried to contact the Accor staffs but they were unreachable. We saw they have tried many different numbers and seemed they could not contact anyone. They tried various ways and worked with their own reservation department to cancel the double booking for us. Finally, they seemed got permission to cancel the booking on their own system. We were really grateful for what they did for us. We understand it was not part of their responsibilities, however, they were nice and enthusiastic the whole time. In the meantime, I would like to voice out the confusion made by the Accor website. If you look back into the record, I did receive an email regarding the cancellation of the first reservation. Then why would there be an “on hold” status and payment were pre-authorised for that canceled booking. I hope Accor could sort out this problem as it is utterly confusing and it was really disgusting and stressful that we had to deal with problems like this during a vacation. We really appreciate what Susan, Ada, and Sheey have done for us, without them, we could have ended up writing a complain letter instead. The overall experience was pleasant, the design of the hotel and the room were a bit old-fashioned, however, all the staffs were friendly and polite. The room was clean and spacious. The executive lounge was quiet and relaxing, we enjoyed the stay pretty much. I was hoping that you could kindly forward this email to Susan, Ada, and Sherry to pass on our utmost gratitude to them for the outstanding hospitality that they have provided us during this stay. I hope this helps when they are being considered as potential candidates for any future promotions as our appreciation for their tremendous efforts in making our holiday a memorable and exceptional one. We will definitely return again when we visit this area next time.

The overall stay was good. Johnson was very helpful and nice, he helped us multiple times to get transportation and carry our baggages. The breakfast was not very good though and expensive.

I stayed in Grand Mercure Oriental Ginza to run the Marathon on 16 December 2018. The hotel room was big and clean. I was permitted to have a late check-out at 17:00. That was fantastic. The only drawback was breakfast which needs to improve a lot. Actually, the hotel may consider charging a higher price for a better breakfast.

All staffs are kind but I want to ask two things to improve 1. Elevator operation is frustration : Easy to miss due to key detection delay, I had to move to wrong direction due to the delay. : Club lounge access from 18th floor - it was not good experience that I had to transit the elevator on 22nd floor to go to 25th floor. 2. No power outlet next to bed : I believe all customers have to have phone close to bed but there's no power outlet close to bed. Except above two things, it was okay.

the hotel doesnt allow food delivery up to rooms, which is great and safe. but there was no porter to take the food for guests. it is a big uncomfortable for guest to pick up delivery food wearing a bathrobe go all the way down to lobby. please check a much smaller hotel brand named: ATOUR, they dont allow delivery up to rooms either, but their reception will call the room to confirm, then delivery for guests to the door. much better service! they are less star rating, cheaper price, but better service.
