« Nice ibis hotel just outside town »

A very nice ibis that seemingly has taken over another adjoins hotel, I had to leave the main building and walk across the car park to access it, good size room and shower room, the big failure was as it is in most Ibis the Air conditioning that I was sold with the room didn’t work, it was over 30 when I booked in so I went out for a walk until the sun went from the window, Then I opened the window to let room cool down and ended up with at least 100 mosquito bites in the morning, WiFi also lousy, gray breakfast as always but 3 Ibis in 3 days with Air conditioning not working or turned down so much at main control that its rubbish

« Nice experience except the bathroom »

Overall impression - Friendly staff Room 1106 - very comfortable bed - very spacious room Bathroom - Not nice at all - bad impression - Floor Tiles partly broken - no shelf in that bathroom to put your things on - water-tap really need to be replaced (not very nice to use it anymore) - no shower curtain Breakfast - good quality - some more maintenance would be nice (re-arranging food and beverages regularly) - clean tables in the morning is a must when having breakfast

« Good, clean hotel. »

Stayed for 2 nights to visit a relative's grave for Armistice. Staff were friendly, and hotel is clean. However, my husband and I had a good clean, quiet room whereas our son had a good clean room BUT was next to the lift. The first night was good for him, but the second night the hotel had a soft ball team in, and although they were not raucous the lift was in constant use late, hence his sleep was disturbed. Would suggest anyone staying there checks that their room is not next to the lift!

« Friendly staff. Hotel clean and tidy. »

Although our French is very limited, staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our room was very quiet and clean in every aspect. Our son's room was clean but next to the lift. His first night was fine was undisturbed rest, but the second night the Handball team were in accommodation. Although they themselves were fairly quiet the lift was in use for a long time. Would suggest avoidance of rooms next to the lift.

« Nice rooms as usual but were charged for car parking for the first time. »

Very quick check in and out. We don't mind paying for car parking as it is very secure but the spaces for each car are very small. We drive a small car and parked very precisely between the white lines. The next morning when other cars were parked I couldn't get in the drivers side and had to get in the passenger side clambering over the centre console. I am 73 years old and not as flexible as I used to be. I was not happy!! A little disappointed with the meal selection in an evening.

Nice staff, friendly. Although the room is supposed to be non smoking, you could smell that at some point somebody smoke in the room. Also coming back to my room Saturday evening around 10:30pm the second floor hallway was impregnated with cigarette smell. Non smoking should be reinforced.

« The best Ibis we've ever stayed in. »

The hotel was easy to find and very well located for our onward trip to the WW1 battlefield sites. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, recommending an excellent restaurant nearby. We took the recommendation and were very impressed by an excellent meal that was not too expensive. When we returned to the hotel we were offered coffee in the restaurant area and enjoyed a short time discussing the events of our day. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. It was brilliant that there was a bath, which is uncommon in today's hotels, and the shower had a head that could be hand-held when required, so much better than the fixed type. We have never had such a lovely breakfast at a hotel, as there was a wide choice of delicious food on offer. At breakfast the staff were very attentive and helpful. At checkout the reception staff were polite and efficient, but very friendly. Overall we had a very good experience at this wonderful hotel, and would be happy to visit again or recommend to our family and friends. We are not members of the Ibis Loyalty scheme but have had to answer questions about this before being being able to finish the survey!

Despite arriving late (after midnight) the receptionist took the time to show us where our room was (walked with us to the second building) and was extremely polite. This was absolutely the best experience in a hotel in Belgium I had (very customer focussed)!

« Nice enough place but noisy and under staffed »

Newly refurbished so very pleasant but what idiot puts hard flooring in a hotel. We could hear every footstep above and around us. The man collecting and delivering the linen at 4am was clearly making a meal of it too. We nearly went to help him to end the torture. Then , on Saturday night, they had one person working in the whole hotel checking people in, dishing out towels, answering the phone and trying to serve drinks. Nice enough place and a half decent location but we won't be back.
