« Lack of attention to detail »

Room was fine but remote control didn't work properly. Requested new batteries that I received and put in controller but it still didn't work. I had to unplug the tv at the wall to turn off which was a pain. Ordered a Virgin Mary Cocktail to be told Worcester Sauce had run out which is very poor keeping of stock. Why do you get one pack of biscuits one day and 2 on another. What should it be? Not the best stay I have had here.

On arrival the room was too hot. Took a long time to cool, even with window open. After getting in to room, within 10 mins another guest accessed my room. Obviously a problem with reservations.....

« Great location, but the room looked a bit tired »

Central location, lovely view from our window overlooking the river. However, it was quite noisy: we were woken up by bin collectors in the morning. I guess this was because we were staying on the second floor. But I reckon double glazing would improve this. Blackout curtains were quite handy though. The room did look a bit tired with squeaky floors and a shabby looking blanket. Also, the mattress was too hard. There was a plug socket next to the bed, but only on one side.

Third stay at this hotel for us although it has been a while since our last stay. As usual the staff team continue to excel and provide a warm welcome and great service. The rooms are comfortable and have lots of nice features including drinks fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and even a TV in the bathroom! Our only comment would be that the decor is looking tired and is in need of refreshing.

Worst experience at an accor hotel. I had booked a privilege room. I should have saved my money. Rug was filthy. Drink stains up the woodwork by the bed ( I took pictures ) coffee marks on woodwork in bathroom! Silver fish in the shower! Noise of sirens going, all night long. ( understand why, but better soundproof required ) then bottle bins being emptied into more bins, from bars/restaurants....I never slept at all. Extremely tired when I left.

There was an attempted murder in the hotel during the day. Not much the hotel can do about that except tell the guests when they check in - especially if their allocated room is next to the barriers which blocks the fire exit! Except they did not do so. That apparatus, other than the terrible noise at 5.30am when the bib lorries arrived to pick up the refuse - it was OK. Would I stay here again - NO.

Hotel staff very helpful especially as one of us is in a wheelchair. Accessible room good however was not totally clean. There was a dirty sock on the floor by the bed and there was dust and dirt which could be seen under the bed. We took the sock to reception but there was no follow up. The bar we used just for coffee and pastries and was very pleasant and again staff very helpful. Also the heating in the room only blew cool air so a bit chilly.

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights (25 and 26th January 2019) at your Hotel, here are a couple of things you should be aware of.......... Friday Night - Between 5 and 6 o’clock on the first morning I was awoken by the sound of somebody moving dustbins on wheels just outside my room, once it was light I could see that our room was situated over 2-3 large industrial rubbish bins in a car park, however I was prepared to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Saturday Night - the evening was lively with lots of noise in the corridors, but it was not excessive. However between 5 and 6’oclock in the morning I again was woken by the bins being moved - obviously not a one off occasion this however was overshadowed by the noise of shouting in the corridor and the use of walkie-talkies. My daughter and myself were a bit scared and shocked with the commotion. I looked through the spy hole and saw that there were police in the corridor, we were a bit scared to leave our room at first but eventually the shouting stopped so we decided that it was time for us to leave. The police were dealing with a disturbance in a nearby room and in the corridor, we left as quickly as we could, once outside the hotel we were confronted by 3 police cars and 3 medical vehicles along with a person being treated by paramedics. Not really the weekend I had envisaged with my daughter as I was expecting a relaxing and enjoyable time and not being woken constantly during the night or being scared to leave our room. I would be interested in your comments. Couple of other things………..rooms were warm but not cosy and the bin in bathroom had not been emptied.

Reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The premiere room was clean, a good size and came with a complimentary nonalcoholic bar. The view over the river was beautiful. We had a drink at the bar and the waiter told us about Sunday lunch. We thought that’s a great idea before setting off home. Next morning we went for breakfast which was one of the most low cost breakfasts I have experienced. Pouderegg, the sausages were awfull and both coffee machines broke down over and over again. So we left and went to a breakfast place near the market. After check out we cancelled the Sunday lunch as we didn’t wanted to risk to be as disappointed as in the morning. So: lovely hotel which we will use again but without breakfast. That’s for sure.
