« A good hotel in a pictureque location »

I stayed for only one night and so cannot comment at length. For a business stay, the hotel worked well. Friendly check in; and offered a room upgrade, which was appreciated. The room is of a good standard. The bathroom could do with a bit of updating. Breakfast offered a wide selection, but some things could be improved, such as the bread selection, and teas and coffees. Overall, I was satisfied.

First time in Bristol - we picked the Mercure Brigstow as we have stayed at many Accor group hotels before. Have to say that it was great, a comfortable well appointed room, good breakfast options and overall a pleasant experience. Next time we are in Bristol your hotel will be at the top of our list.

I checked in at the lovely early time of 2pm. The female on reception was exceptionally upbeat and nice and cheery. I was given a room as requested with a view, a tree was covering this view however although I still enjoyed it. I had stated it was a special birthday for myself and they went the extra mile to leave me a box of chocolates in my room. I was surprised at the cleanliness of the room and how well kept it was. We didn't have to check out until 12 the next day which was great and so we had a breakfast in the restaurant on site. The breakfast was £9.50 and I was concerned this was expensive however once the breakfast came out I could see why it was definitely worth the value for money. I would even return again to the restaurant if I wasn't actually staying at the hotel. Overall I had a great birthday weekend and was very glad I chose the Mercure for my stay.

Room not ready at 2pm to check in, had to wait until 2.40pm therefore did not have time to change before catching a train to Cardiff. Room dirty - the cleaner should be sacked! tiles falling off bath panel, yellow stained towels, bed uncomfortable, and yellow stained sheets! TV not working in bathroom. Water not replaced for second night. Room definitely not worth £150 a night, there was nothing 'Privilege' about this room and we will not be returning. However, the adjoining restaurant was lovely, great food and great service.

Staff on receptive and bar were great, room was fine but overlooked the loading bay so was awoken all 3 morning by bottles being emptied into the bin, but not a horrendous problem. Breakfast was very busy all days and seating became a problem on the Saturday.
