Reception and rooms were spotless. All landings were smelly and carpet has seen better days!! Big let down. Loads going for this hotel in this historic area but the stairs on the landings NEED a steam clean!!

I was in room 429.Nice,clean room,with a chair,wardrobe and double bed.Happy with the bathroom facilities.Window,opens with a safety chain.With regards to the room the only thing missing was air conditioning,so this room could be too hot in the height of Summer or too cold in the height of Winter. Breakfast which I bought with my room was reasonably good,but not as good as in the Ibis Wien Haubtbahnhof.More limited range than there.Breakfast would benefit from bacon being offered and scrambled eggs. Significant room for improvement with regards to the free luggage facility offered by the hotel when checking out.I expect to get a secure ticket number for piece of mind when I leave my luggage with the hotel to pick back up later on.That way if my luggage goes missing I have some sort of come back.

Staff friendly and helpful, very comfortable bed. Breakfast adequate. The hotel furnishings are very tired. The carpets are dirty, the corridors smell musty and my room smelt very damp. There was mould in the shower. Not much sound insulation in the rooms. I have stayed in many Ibis hotels in all categories and this is not the usual standard.

The bed was comfortable and the room as expected from a standard Ibis. The only problem was the cleaning staff that started working at 8h30 on Sunday morning. Unfortunately the noise were so loud we weren't able to sleep anymore, which is a shame on a relaxing weekend away from the city.

Rooms were easy to book and key collection was quick and simple. Hotel had everything I required including a great continental breakfast. Only negatives were the lack of parking and high temperature in rooms.

We stayed here before catching the morning ferry. We had stayed the previous night at Ibis budget in Dijon and have stayed in Ibis before without issue. The staff were lovely at check-in but the the corridor had a horrible smell as did the bathroom in our room (very damp and musty). We were extremey hot in the night and there was no aircon so my partner felt very unwell. We ended up with the window wide open, so no sleeping then because of the traffic and people noises. It's very busy around that area. The bed was comfortable but we felt so tired and disappointed.

Thank you for your review. This summer, the hotel had some problems with the corridors and the smell. We improved now to solve this. Please accept our apologizes and hope to see you another time. Kind regards.

Check-in was good. Friendly staff. The downstairs corridor smelled horrible. Our room had no Aircon and we were too hot. Ended up with window wide open so couldn't sleep for the noise from outside. Our bathroom also had a horrible smell. Very musty and mouldy smelling. Not a good experience at all. Won't be staying again.

People are friendly. Choice at breakfast is very nice. Only this time, the milk for the grains was not tasting fresh anymore (acidic taste!). The room was more smelly than normal and the shower had quite some mold. I have stayed at least 10 times in this hotel, but lately the quality is not improving.

While the entrance and the service was well and as I would expect in a budget hotel, the room itself was very dissatisfied. In the corridors to the rooms was a strong smell of mold and in the bath of the room we actually had mold in some of the corners. I think this hotel needs a proper cleaning and repairs in the rooms. If I would have stayed longer than just one night, I would have checked out and looked for a different hotel to stay.

Good location - close to town centre, port and beach. Hotel is on a Main Street which did not give the safest feeling at night. Also quite dirty street with closed down shops along the way. Hotel met standards we expect of an IBIS - cleanliness, good breakfast and good location. HOWEVER, our room was located WAAAAAY at the back of the hotel and as you walked further along the corridor the musty moldy smell grew stronger. I was very scared opening the hotel room door as I didn't know what to expect in the back part of the hotel. Inside decor was the standard thankfully. But the view was of the rooftop of some building next door with rusty water puddles to look out upon - also worried about rust coloured water evaporating into the room. Hotel reception staff helped to check us in but not friendly as in other IBIS hotels.

Food was fantastic, staff were fantastic. Only let down is that there is no air conditioning so we had a very uncomfortable nights sleep seeing as it was in the high 20’s outside the room was like an oven
