This modern hotel is good value for money and ever popular. Over the past few years I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and have always been satisfied hence my repeat booking. However during my 8 day visit in October 2018 I observed however that standards have dropped at Ibis Pattaya. Upon arrival I had to request a change of room because of a malodorous toilet, unclean floor and the general condition of the room namely, shabby. The manager explained that the sub standard condition of the room was because the hotel was "very busy". I booked well in advance and if the management of Ibis Pattaya had extended me the courtesy of pointing out how busy they were I would have then had the option of finding another hotel in Pattaya with higher standards of hygiene and cleanliness!

When we checked in and went to our rooms there was a very weird smell that was coming from the AC and we asked the front desk to get it checked or change our rooms, they sent the housekeeper who came and sprayed some room freshener and said it is smelling fine now. Apparently that is the solution. The bad smell stayed through our entire stay and neither did they do anything about it even after telling them again nor did they change our rooms. The housekeepers also were very rude and made an annoyed face whenever we asked or complained about anything. Overall just a horrible experience and would not recommend the place to anyone. I have stayed at multiple IBIS properties and this is the worst maintained property till now.

Few things that I want to bring in to Hotel's notice :- 1. No charging points available near beds! Even the available one's were placed at such a confined area that I couldn't charge the laptop 2. A/C was too noisy

very good.....nice people....very good staff....every year i choose IBIS..bcs also of his strategic position..between second and first road..... I HAVE A SUGGESTION ABOUT SMOKING. pls put outside some chairs for people ho wont to smoke....so they can seat confortably....and enjoy the smoking ..in case they wont to smoke.. BREAKFAST ITS EXCELLENT.....and the restaurant its clean...my impression is very positif..

« Good but surely need hygienic issues in mind »

Absolutely value for money but at the same time hotel need to keep service and hygienic issues in mind. I felt that the rooms after service was not clean , the cups were dirty. The housekeeping making room in 20 minutes will result in short cuts which was clearly visible after the cleaning.

« Cockroach on the toilet tissue roll and ran on to my hand »

The morning of the check out day, a cockroach came out from the toilet roll on to my hand. I informed the counter staff and showed the photo of the cockroach on the floor after I had to shake it off my hand and received the verbal apology. The counter staff went into the room to inform the Manager or supervisor. The manager did not come out to take any action. This incident left a bad impression on the cleanliness of the room and there was nothing that could be done since I was already checking out and paid for the rooms the day before already. I am the executive of a family owned company and booked 3 nights 6 rooms to attend the annual exhibition event and this was the first time staying at Ibis Pattaya.

As an AccorPlus member, I stayed at this hotel many times, but never get a room upgrade as a privilege for gold member. Anyway, I was offered a room upgrade to family room when I visited ibis hotels in Phuket which is under the same chain, "ibis Erawan group." For the last visit, I was travelling with a kid and asked to have an extra bed which costs more than an upgrade charge to family room. Anyway, for my earlier stay, a staff offered an extra bed at free of charge as a compensation not being able to upgrade the room since family room was fully booked. Anyway, for last time, staff wanted to charge although the family room was available. What is your service standard? What is the privilage I suppose to get as a gold member? It seemed like it depends on your staff judgement and I have to bargain. The room condition was also bad. The air condition was not working well. I set it at 15 degree celcius, but it was still too hot which caused us sweating all night long and couldn't have a deep sleep. Also, the maximum discount at 50% at Taste Restaurant as AccorPlus member was no more available. It changed to only 10% off. I coould say I was really disappointed for my last stay because I first visited here in 2010. It's more than 8 years now and I repeated to stay here many times. Anyway, somethings had changed to the negative ways. Shouldn't be a loyalty guest for this hotel since they never recognize how loyalty I am :(

First of all i didn't realize that ibis allow the pet (dog) to stay in the hotel and i assume that i have assign the room were have the dog stay prior so causing my sickness from the allergy , Breakfast is a bad menu and quality , check in / out is too slow and the system was not function properly.

« Worst hotel I have ever stayed in »

Dog mess on landing, dogs barking in rooms, hot breakfast none existent always cold, do not cater for Europeans. Eggs hard tinned hot dog sausage. No fresh omelet making facilities.Because of location of swimming pool with high rise buildings all around, sun only on pool area for a maximum of 3 hours per day. Room clean but very small. Would not stay this hotel again. Put me off staying at Ibis hotels again

Everything is good, service is excellent, hotel is very neat and clean, staff's are very polite but the only drawback is there is no menu for Vegetarian people, 5 day we eat only fruits, Bread butter & Jam at breakfast.. and IBIS provide only 500Ml mineral water for drinking everyday for 1 People it should me atleast 1 ltr.

This modern hotel offers good value for money and is ever popular. The staff are courteous and helpful.I've stayed here on numerous occasions over the past few years and have come to expect a certain standard so it was disappointing on a recent 8 day visit in October 2018 to notice that standards have dropped noticeably in terms of room cleanliness. On arrival I had to request a change of room because of a malodorous toilet, unclean floor and general untidiness,Yes, it was a busy period but as I had booked well in advance Ibis management should have had the courtesy to notify me to this effect so giving me the option to look elsewhere for more hygienic hotels in Pattaya.

The price reflects the standard. Quiet part (stayed in a front room) of North Pattaya, some bars and a 7/11 just outside. Access from 2nd Road. Big parking space infront av the hotel. Easy walk to Beach Road. New Terminal 21 shopping mall 10-15 min walk.

this hotel is a good location in pattaya. you can walk to the beach and walk to shopping place. room was clean and good as ibis standard, even if the building is quite old. swimming pool is good enough to relax. welcome drink as soft drink should serve as a can, not a glass. breakfast is terrible, as this hotel focus on Indian market. many western guests said...what can we eat, only bread? fried mee, fried rice is not good taste.

Staff to present it together and open in front of the guest, I will investigate with team to ensure that standards are followed. Further to add, we cater breakfast for multi nationals guests and breakfast spread is set as per the economy brand standards, I can assure you that we serve only one Indian dish and rest everything is Asian and international cuisine starting from 2 types of eggs, sausages, bakery, soup, international and Asian mixed hot dishes, fruits, cereals, yogurt, salad counter, dim sum, tea and coffee, milk, juices etc. Thank you for showing your kind concerns and we always try our best to live up to the guest’s needs accordance to a budget hotel standards. Hotel located in very good location and price is quite cheap to stay in Pattaya. Room is small and now hotel is too many of people from Middle East that not so ok to stay here in future. But, staffs at the bar is friendly.
