The property is very well maintained, u can feel it start from drop off - lobby till the room. Location is very good, I got room with river view which offer you a good view for the sunrise. Sofitel at Phnom Penh was a big relief after our stay in Sofitel Saigon. This property is amazing and my family thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, club lounge, swimming pool and the Spa. Friendly staff ever willing to assist. Clean public area. Spotlessly clean room thanks to the house keeping lady who cleaned our 3 rooms.

Our family had a very enjoyable stay at the Phnom Penh Sofitel. The pool is really fantastic. Very large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable. I would love to come back here and highly recommend it. The breakfast and lunch buffet were also really great. Only a couple of minor points. The premium room should have a Nespresso or other coffee maker. That seems to be pretty standard in a premium room these days besides the instant coffee. The Club room seemed to have a little less available for food and drink options compared to the other club rooms I have been to. But the cold cuts were really fantastic.

« WONDERFUL STAY AT THE SOFITEL »

The Sofitel is definitely one of the best luxury hotels in Phnom Penh. I've just spent there my 3rd or 4th stay and I've enjoyed every minute there. I stayed in a large and very comfortable suite. Cocktail hour in the Club is relaxing and intimate while the breakfast buffet downstairs is impressive and allows a great morning start.The staff is both helpful and competent. The hotel used to be located in a remote part of the city but Phnom Penh is expanding very quickly and the Sofitel is now in the middle of a trendy new district.

This hotel lives up to the expectation of a Sofitel. It is more or less and exclusive hotel which is close to one of the smaller tributaries of Mekong river. It is some distance from the centre of Town and you need some form of transport to get around. There is a modern mall literally next door but it is like any mall anywhere. The rooms are spacious and ambience is to make the rooms in "classic" style with antique type touches. There is a swimming pool not that well patronised and also the Club Millesime on the top floor from where one can have a good look at the city. Again it was not that well patronised when we were there. Perhaps because Phnom Penh does not have the tourist draw that Siem Reap has. The breakfast buffet is excellent with various types of dishes from various parts of the world freshly prepared or cooked. All in all a very good hotel.

We had another great stay at the Sofitel in Phnom Penh. The hotel is beautiful, as we really like the French Colonial design, but what makes this one of the world's top hotels is the service. From the moment we arrive, we feel as if we are treated like royalty. Every member of the staff is always friendly and always smiling. This includes the doormen (and ladies), the bell staff, the front desk, the pool staff, housekeeping and, of course, the restaurant service. We especially love the executive lounge, where Sokhay and others treat us as if their only job is to ensure we have a wonderful stay. Also, if you ask a staff member for assistance, they will take care of you even if it is not their function in the hotel. A great example is Heloise, who I believe manages the front desk. She also handles anything else we request, such as restaurant recommendations, tours, and transportation. It us such a pleasure to deal with her! The hotel room rates are also very reasonable. We cannot wait for our next visit to Phnom Penh so we can return to the Sofitel!

The hotel is a first class property. We had a problem at check-in. They had changed our prepaid reservation to another person's name but eventually this was straightened out after a significant wait. Otherwise the service in the restaurants/room service was very good and the quality of the food including the breakfast buffet was good (including good fruit.) We ate at the Chinese restaurant and the food and the service were excellent. The drinks in the bar and the snacks there were also high quality. The swimming pool was a good size (longer than 25M.) and warm so excellent swimming. The hotel is next to and a short walk to a large mall. The shopping was good and interesting since it was all Asian stores so different for someone from the US. A good way to avoid the heat for awhile. The hotel is not that close to the major attractions, but they were a short Tuk Tuk ride away. We walked, but since the sidewalks are usually covered with parked cars, one has to do a lot of the walk in the street. That was not always, safe and some of the areas on the way were a bit run down. Room was large, but as with most hotel rooms a few more hooks to hang damp clothes would be helpful.

Found hotel staff to be very friendly and extremely helpful Thavy in La coupole was a very helpful and thoughtful server .She had a great memory for ones needs and preferences. Savy the tuktuk driver was a real gem and showed me around the city wnd got me everywhere I wanted to go. I thoroughly enjoyed all the services and was very well taken care of. Airport pick up and drop off was very smooth and comfortable.

I'm a Accor Platinum member. I booked 2 rooms for my family. The hotel strictly execute the member's benefit. So, one of my room got upgraded and included the executive lounge. Another room I booked the executive floor but not upgraded. I also got welcome drink of one room only. That's okay because the official benefit is only for one room even this is the first time happen within all my trips. The hotel's location is very good. It's near he river and the Aeon Mall. We can walk to the mall in only 3 mins. The hardware are also very good. There are 2 very great swimming pools and a nice gym room. The rooms are good design in France style. The staffs especially the bell boys, the shop keeper and the staff of the executive lounge are very nice and helpful. The check in time was not a good experience. It take me about 30 mins. The staff seems work very hard on the computer and try to arrange the rooms for me. But in other hotel, They will prepare the rooms in advance. So that I can get the keys when I arrived. The worse things is the second day I check the booking email and found that they overcharged my room bill when they did the check in for me. They promised me to solve it and reply me at 5:00pm. That afternoon, I had been waiting them on my room until 6:30pm but the staff do not contact me! I went to front desk to find her. She already leave! I am not care about the $200 overcharge because I know that it should be fixed. I am angry with the staff''s working attitude! She waste my time! The third day, when I check out. Another staff do it for me. But she won't say any thing about the overcharge problem. Until I ask her , She told me that they will process. I can't accept this service attitude. They don't think their mistake will bring many trouble to the customer and they should try their best to let the customer feel better! The executive lounge is excellent. The staffs take care the guest very well and professional. The foods are delicious. The environment is also very good. It's one of the best executive lounge I ever meet! This time I rate 5 points for the hotel. It's because some of the staffs are really very helpful. And the executive lounge is really very good. But I think the front desk should improve their attitude especially face to their mistake and not to waste the customer's time!

Nice big room. Check in was smooth. The hotel made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Bed was huge and comfortable. Fast wifi. The bar was good. Live music in the evening. Pizza was also reasonably priced, compared to the city.

I normally stay in smaller boutique hotels when I'm in Phnom Penh but decided to give the Sofitel a go for once. Did not get off to a good start. The airport pick up that I booked and reconfirmed by email, was not sent to collect me. I made several phone calls (at roaming rates $10 per minute) to the hotel only to be put on hold and shunted between call centre, concierge and front desk - can't wait for my phone bill! But even then a car failed to surface. So instead of getting into he hotel and settling, ironing a shirt and having a cup of coffee first, I had to spend all day on the road for work in casual clothes that I arrived in. I didn't get to check in until 7:30 that evening. Upon check in when I gently raised this as being somewhat disappointing the front desk manager suggested that I may not have confirmed the pick up, implying that I was to blame! This was easily addressed by showing her the emails that I had sent to book and also to reconfirm the type of car. But even then all I got was, "we are sorry about that". The room they gave me had a beautiful low level view of the car-park at the Aeon Mall and the air-conditioning in my room had a definite putrid smell. The following morning I call for a shaving kit, about five times and it took them around an hour for one to be sent to my room. Don't think I'll be back, SPG please open a hotel here!!

This is why an investigation was conducted on the concerns you raised. Our concierge did receive the request for your booking and emailed you back inquiring about your car type preference. Unfortunately, we did not receive your second email confirmation on the car type which is why a car was not sent. Upon receiving your call, our guest service center transferred your calls to both our front desk and concierge to further assist you. Although a car was offered to be sent to you, it would have arrived at the airport after an hour. Upon your arrival, I understand that you expressed your dissatisfaction as you were late for your meeting. Although apologies were extended for this incident, it is regretful that this misunderstanding occurred. An investigation was done. However, after checking all the emails, the confirmation could not be found. It is unfortunate that the complimentary upgrade to the Junior Suite was not appealing due to the view. We have taken note of your preferences, that you would wish a room with a view of the majestic Mekong River, guest satisfaction being our utmost priority. Thank you again for your feedback.
