It was A couple nights out from NYE, so nothing was available, that considered, the Accor rate made it very very cheap, the rooms had aircon and were clean, and the reception spoke English. The breakfast buffet had a good spread to.

Staid in your hotel to be close to the airport as I needed to rest before an early flight. I was extremely disappointed that a so called "technical glitch" woke me (and all your guests) up in the middle of the night. No excuse was provided.

« Good value modern hotel »

I stayed two nights. Having arrived at Santos Dumont airport, being able to walk there in five minutes was great. During the day it is also convenient for a number of sights, but like all of Centro it is deserted at night and especially at weekends. Rooms are small, and comfortable rather than luxurious. Mine had a Nespresso machine but only two capsules for two days so I bought some at the supermarket. I had problems with air conditioning and TV but they did not impact my stay. I was more concerned about a fire alarm for a minute at 2 am. This turned out to be a false alarm but no information was given to guests over a tannoy. Guest were in the corridor not knowing what to do. On check out I expressed my concern about this but the staff were then different and could not explain what had happened.

Overall the experience was good, but since I have been at this same hotel other times in the past, I have seen a decrease on the quality of some points. The amenities offered on the bathroom have decreased the quality a lot. Also the quality of the towels at the bathroom have decreased very much. The menu on the restaurant have been reduced on the options, but is still ok. The breakfast options have decreased a little bit as well. Finally, on the other times in the past that I have stayed at the hotel, there were a letter with a courtesy at the room, I know this is not mandatory and do not compromise at all the experience, but it is something that make the difference from a felling perspective and make the customer fell special of being a member of Accor Le Club associated.

It was ok. I come already many years at Novotel Santos Dumont. When you travel a lot it is nice to go to a place you know. I like the rooms at Novotel as they are very effective and efficient however this time I had room 669 which is at the very end of the corridor. It is hard to get internet in that room. And when I have I constantly loose adn need to take my phone/laptop/ipad to the door or even into the corridor to pick up the internet. As I am for business in the hotel and work a lot on my computer this was a frustration. During the day we worked in the lounche/bar area at the ground level. This was fine. It is a good place to work however service was not so good. We ordered water and you were out of water so the staff went to the Ibis to get cold water (very kind of them but not good you run out of water). And when we ordered lunch we waited for 1,5hr (it was busy so we did not want to push) but then we found out order was forgotten about and had to be reordered. What was nice thoug we got a meeting room from 16.00 to 18.00 at the conference centre as there was an event at the lounche/bar area.

Tv system prented poor quality. Open channel like Record was missing. Only after 2 days channel has returned. But in the last day was missing again. Tv ports like usb, hdmi are not accessible. There are no reasons for that, once a lot of customer uses laptops to work and extend the desktop to the tv. Room services took almos 1h . Thanks Walter O.

« Clean and convenient for a one night stay »

Stayed for one night stopover between flights. Hotel was clean and convenient. WiFi was excellent with room service available 24 hours. Breakfast was exceptionally average with low volume of guests meaning food was out a long time. We were very lucky as receptionist in check in spoke English. But not on check out. Surrounding area is dead. We want for a walk about 10am and it was dead. All shutters down. Drive through a few days later at 3pm, still dead. About 15 min (unpleasant) walk to Santos Dumont airport.

« Good service at the hotel, but why choosing the Accor group, when I do not get anymore points »

Good stay, but I have to book by the company travel agency and do not get anymore Accor points. Therefore I lot already my Platinum Status and will loose next year the Gold Status. So I will have no reason to go again at this hotel.
