« Not a good surprise »

I've called the hotel in the morning explaining we were about to check-in late and asked for an extra bed for our daughter. At arrival, we got surprised because the room reserved had only two single beds. My wife is pregnant, we were really tired from the flight but the incredible woman at the balcony helped us giving us an upgrade. Only problem is that I had to be hearing your staff whining about not booking in the AccorHotels website. I would if it wasn't more expensive at the time.

« Need smarter operation. »

I had two reservations for three consecutive days(1day +2day). I could stay in the same room for whole stay, but the counter asked me to re-checkin next day for the second reservaion and my room card key did not work on the second day. They said they cannot do anything because the hotel system works only that way. Novotel is a worldwide big chain hotel and it should have smarter operation system that its name deserves.

Ate at the buffet restaurant. On returning for second helping I witnessed many flies over the fruit and some other food on display. The following day I woke up to a bad stomach and was sick for the next 24 hours. I am convinced it is linked to the food in your restaurant. Lids were not being closed on available dishes, staff were not paying attention. Not impressed, I will not be returning.

We arrived late and left early, so my interface with the hotel was limited. My family and I ordered dinner and had breakfast included. Both experiences disastrous! DINNER - We ordered a chicken soup and a chick with rice and french friend - The chicken soup came with no flavor at all; worse than hospital food - The grilled chicken with rice and fried came without rice and fries. - My first call to complain was unsuccessful - My second call, the person who answered was not from the kitchen and was confused. - 20 minutes later the rice and fries arrived, without utensils!!! - My third call to complain, the same person answered - 15 minutes later, the utensils arrived, but by then the food was cold. BREAKFAST - Breakfast looked decent, but the omelet stand was empty and I was told the person who prepares the food was "busy"! The food is expensive, but I do not mind paying if it tastes good. Paying as much as we did for a sub-par quality and service is upsetting. I cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience.

Good. As someone who was working from their room most of the time the cleaners were very helpful. If they came when I was in the room they would just do the things I requested (just change towels, toilet paper & empty the bin) - minimum disturbance. If I was not in the room they would do a normal clean - very good. If I got my laundry in by the specified time I got it back the same day. Good service.

It was A couple nights out from NYE, so nothing was available, that considered, the Accor rate made it very very cheap, the rooms had aircon and were clean, and the reception spoke English. The breakfast buffet had a good spread to.

Staid in your hotel to be close to the airport as I needed to rest before an early flight. I was extremely disappointed that a so called "technical glitch" woke me (and all your guests) up in the middle of the night. No excuse was provided.

I stayed two nights. Having arrived at Santos Dumont airport, being able to walk there in five minutes was great. During the day it is also convenient for a number of sights, but like all of Centro it is deserted at night and especially at weekends. Rooms are small, and comfortable rather than luxurious. Mine had a Nespresso machine but only two capsules for two days so I bought some at the supermarket. I had problems with air conditioning and TV but they did not impact my stay. I was more concerned about a fire alarm for a minute at 2 am. This turned out to be a false alarm but no information was given to guests over a tannoy. Guest were in the corridor not knowing what to do. On check out I expressed my concern about this but the staff were then different and could not explain what had happened.
