« Quiet, cosy and incredibly central »

We've spent a very smooth weekend at this Novotel. The room was very nice, appropriately fitted, quiet and cosy. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They offer a great bar and restaurant and the location is also fantastic - plenty of shopping, food and local commerce at your doorsteps while also being conveniently close to the Albert Dock area. We will certainly stay here again!

« A great place to stay, but... »

This was my third stay at the Novotel at Liverpool One, the facility is great, the rooms are very good, the staff is excellent. But the very noisy elephant in the hotel is this. You can set your clock by the when the outside noise starts. At 5:45 the street cleaners come down Hanover Street. At 6:00 the supply truck for the housewares store next door arrives and for the next hour make as much noise as possible. The for the finale, at 7:00 the renovation crew for one of the next door buildings and begins their very noisy work for the next eight hours. Heaven help anyone trying or wanting to sleep in a bit. I do realize that the hotel has little to no control with any of these things, But it doesn't make them any more annoying.

We had the pleasure of a return stay at the Novotel hotel after falling in love with it last year. The staff were all wonderful and had lots of time for my children, especially my eldest as we were staying as a treat for her birthday. On our second day we went out for the day as it was her birthday and on our return we found a birthday card, a balloon and sweets in a loveheart shape. She felt very special indeed! She then returned the favour by sharing her birthday cake with the reception staff who graciously accepted. Our first night the hotel was quite busy as there was a match on but we didn't hear a single thing which was amazing. Breakfast was fantastic and plenty of everything. The lovely receptionist allowed us a late check out on our final day and stored our luggage until late afternoon. We hope to have a return visit before the year is out. Many, many thanks to all

Ideal location for visiting Liverpool. The staff were very polite and helpful. The Breakfast was satisfactory but I didn't see alternatives like omelettes although presumably they would be provided on request..

The room is quite big, the bathroom is not the best. The service was perfect and the girl at the reception absolutely perfect. The swimming pool warm and with towels available, also the gym well equipped. Very good the breakfast, a lot of choice and high quantity.....

Great place to stay, right in the heart of the city, lovely rooms, lovely bar, and the staff are so helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic. We had a room with a queen sized bed which we loved. I have stayed here twice now and would recommend this hotel strongly.

Novotel liverpool went into room for 3 only two cups no toilet room and little tea and coffee things you sould not have to ask for should just be there .Next day the two cups were cleaned but the third one was left dirty and not enough towels for the three of us had to ask for morev.Also when arrived the cards to get in the rooms were not working and hed to be taken to the roomby reception staff .Went out to meet family on return waited ten minuets to be took up to the roon finally got keys at 10.20 .

We stayed in a comfortable executive room with a nice bed and a large modern bathroom. Breakfast in the Ropewalks was plenty and good. Parking is in The ONE Shopping Center Parking, just on the other side of the road. 11£ per day with discount voucher, which you get from hotel during checkout.

The hotel was fine. We've been before. On this occasion though the children's bed was not ready when we got there and we waited quite a long time for it to be done. The staff were very friendly and polite and the lady that came to do the bed was clearly rushed off her feet. The receptionist even offered to make the beds up for us. Also for some reason they put a double quilt in a single cover to go over the two children.

« Great overall...but with some glitches »

Our stay for five people in two rooms was good overall; comfy beds, clean rooms, working TV &c but there were some glitches. The pool was not working on the day we arrived, which was a shame as we had three children. We were offered free breakfast as compensation although we had to remind the staff of that the next morning. The breakfast room ran out of plates and water The plug in the bath need to be manually removed each time using fingernails as the lever did not work. The cover of the airvent in the loo had only two out of four pins needed to hold it in place Room cards had to be repeatedly updates to gain access A locker in the gym changing room seized up and it took 20-30 minutes and three visits by staff to lever it open while the user had to wait in their towel. This feedback is sent not as criticism or complaint but to help you iron out of the glitches

« Great family break »

Great location. Nice bar and good range of food on the menu. Daughter loved the swimming pool. Beds super comfy and excellent customer service. Will deffo stay here again. We left a shopping bag in reception when we checked out. This was posted out to us and arrived the next day, free of charge. Lovely staff.

« Very sad stay again »

Very disapointed stay again. As a gold member in accor we expekt more.Got a mail some days before arrival and wrote early check in. When we arrive 12 we still had to wait 3 hours and when we got the room it was up grated but i had booked a twin room and dont want king bed.It was like it was my fault.... The first 3 days there was nobody into the room even i put out the sign please make up room. The 4 day when i asked if they could change the towel they took all the towels....the same the next day. Tried for more than a week to get them to fix the telefon in the room so i dont had to go to the resepsion every time. When they come to fix it, it wasnt even connected...and hasnt been since they fix the room the guy said..shame. Under the bed it was also very dirty....My wife also tried to get another pillow when she was sick but nothing happened before i 3 hours later when i again again walked to the resepstion. ( i am a catering supervisor at an oil rigg taking care of the food and cleaning) The people working in the reseption just says yes but nothing happenings.. I can garanti you we will never stay at novotel Liverpool again, last time 2 years ago it was also a mess but thought this time it should be better. Should have a look at other accor hotels i liverpool like addagio and pullman. I thought when you book 2 weeks stay the hotel takes care of you.

Check-in was very in efficient. I had booked as a single person and I was placed in a family room with a sofa bed ready made up. The room also smelt. I went down and requested the change of room which was actually acted upon very quickly. Second room was fine. The restaurant is very badly managed. The queue for breakfast is ridiculous and very offputting. Some people decided to go out for breakfast because it was all so chaotic . A small point-Salt-N-Pepa isn't on all the tables and there is an inconsistency in the service . Housekeeping also needs to be a bit more efficient-I went out for the morning came back at 2 o'clock and my room hadn't been made up. I was told it would be done then immediately - it it wasn't and as I was not feeling too good I did the room myself and cancelled housekeeping .

« Weekend spoilt by no heating in room »

We booked 3 rooms at the Novotel for our wedding on the Saturday, it was spoilt by the bad service. The food and beverage departments at the hotel are very good and offer a great customer service, the bar staff were very helpful and went the extra mile as did the catering. Unfortunately the executive room we booked had had a very hard mattress and no heating it was very cold, we reported this to reception shortly after our arrival and was met with a negative response from the female reception staff, I was informed that all the mattresses were bought from the same shop so their obviously all the same, what a surly attitude, we stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and reported the heating every day, it was never fixed and no apology was ever received, the reception lady offered a fan heater on the last night, this was OK but why didn’t they do something about the problem on the Thursday instead of waiting until Sunday evening. I spoke to The general manager prior to my departure, the whole thing was full of passiveness I would have at least expected a partial refund. Totally disgusted with this type of attitude and service. It will be a long time before I book this hotel again,, it is unfortunate because the F&B were excellent. Don’t take Room 208.

I (63) female joined friends for weekend as they were attending the Ecco Arena ( Good location for the arena) Parked in the Q car park adjacent which was reduced for the stay. Lot of children staying that weekend but all well behaved. Great location and great for shopping also visited the Cavern club on the saturday afternoon a real treat at £2.50 well worth the visit. Lots of “real” pubs and great atmosphere all very friendly. Room was quiet and comfortable - my heating was not working but was given a heater in request. Staff young and polite. Breakfast was of good quality (self service) in casual dining area.

« Switched rooms three times, bad experience and unpleasant hygiene issues with linen and facilities in the room »

I was attending a funeral that's why I chose this hotel. First room 803, dirty linen on bed, bathroom floor tiles had grout missing from it will cut the foot exiting the shower and mini bar light is on the blink. Second room 628 not much better, dirty linen yet again this time it had a cigarette burn hole in it, it was an adjoining room with red smears on the door dread to think what it could be? Third room was upgraded executive suite 534, chap came to inspect it with me. As he left I want to draw the curtain and hear a drip drip drip sound, opened the curtains to find the bad weather was seeping in had made a big puddle. Cracks around the window, plaster coming off the walls, stains from water damage from previous bad weather was visible. Called reception three times no answer each a minute or so long, finally the chap picked up, I explained he apologised and came to check. Couldn't see or feel anything thing, utter disbelief and very annoyed this point. I showed him and then he said he'll get maintenance to check in the morning and have a word with the manager to see if I can get reimbursed for the troubles and it was logged for reference. Saturday I attended a funeral in the morning and didn't return until 9 in the evening. Spoke to the same chap he said manager was only there in the morning, I upset and frustrated with the mislead information. Went to my room the bed was made, didn't have fresh toiletries and the cup I used the previous night was just put back on shelf still smelling of the tea. Thanks chamber maids for the pleasant room 😧 Morning check out at reception there was a young lady with no name badge. I asked to speak with the manager, she replied yes. 10-20 seconds later she then replied I'm the manager, awful hospitality manners for a well established hotel. I asked if she knew of the incidents occurred with my rooms she replied no, no information was given. I told her what happened she blankly apologised and said can only give 25% reimbursement for the trouble. Not the sort of apology for the troubles I went through, not very sympathetic or had any empathy with the customer.. Awful Experience regarding service and professionalism this hotel had to offer what an utter disgrace. Especially when I had to deal with a loss of a loved one and then having to come back and deal with the poor service from the staff at the hotel.

Excellent night, we had our daughter with us in a separate room which was located next door with a further reassuring door to enter. The rooms were spacious . The only feedback is the light switches which I found difficult to control in the dark. From what I could make out you had to walk in the dark to the door to switch the lights on.

Comfortable room, well appointed. Friendly staff. Nice pool and steam room. Decent breakfast except the eggs. Oh the eggs. How can you serve fried eggs that are simultaneously cooked hard and cold. How can you make scrambled eggs that are solid but swimming in water. The manager of this hotel, who obviously get so much right, needs to eat breakfast there occasionally. Maybe he just doesn’t like eggs. I do.
