Very friendly and helpful staff on the front counter and in the restaurant in the evening and during breakfasts service. The walls in the toilet in our room needed a good clean and a cost of paint. Apart from that our room was very clean .

« Lovely hotel, not so good beds »

Hotel and pool were lovely, staff friendly and helpful and breakfast good. Unfortunately the bed and pillows were very hard and we found our night's sleep uncomfortable.

We stay here once a year, usually around Christmas and New Year. Last year wasn't the best but we gave it another go this year. Much better.

When I arrived at the hotel they had no record of my booking. After a short delay the duty manager, Daniel, was able to sort out the issue. The rest of the stay was fine.

check in was very good and staff very friendly, bed was so uncomfortable and caused backache to myself. cleaning was not very good and on one occasion had to go to reception to as for loo roll as was none topped up in room. breakfast was a nightmare food not filled out we went for breakfast 30 minutes before it finished and fried eggs were finished and no chef there to make more. items running out constantly not being refilled

It was amazing from start to finish.i said to the hotel upon booking that it was a visit to your lovely hotel for my wifes birthday and was overwhelmed to find a room upgrade to executive room with chocolates and strawberries and also a complimentary drink each also.the room food and all the staff were superb. We will definitely return in the near future. Thank you so much once again novotel liverpool.

We really enjoyed our stay we were impressed with our room upgrade and drinks that were given for my birthday. The only improvement would be to have an option to change the temperature in the room as it was very very hot.

Really friendly and helpful staff at check in. Good sized family room. Breakfast was great- best scrambled eggs I have tasted in a long time. Location is brilliant- right in heart of the city and around 100m to the shops.

Comfortable and clean room, all staff were pleasant and helpful, gym was minimal but ticked most boxes. Only negative was the temperature in the room, even with the window open constantly, and the outside temperature being around 6° it was still borderline stifling in the room

It's my 4th time staying in this hotel and it never fails. The hotel is right beside Liverpool one and lots of great restaurants and bars. My kids love the swimming pool and the hotel reception staff are great. My only downfall, and the reason I didn't give 10 is the bar waiting staff are awful. I was asked by one girl to wait....3 times. I just went to the bar myself. Apart from that it was great stay

« We knew what we would be getting and we weren’t disappointed. »

In fact it was better than I expected - breakfast was good and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar and restaurant. We slept well and it was fun being on the top floor with view of the city. Great location, super comfortable and clean (apart from toilet did smell a bit of wee).

Managers must learn more about the City. I was informed that Anfield is half an hours drive when it is only 3 miles away. Lovely place will advise all to stay here. Restaurant needs more on the Menu.

As it was a match day, It can sometimes take around 30 minutes to get there but if there is no traffic, It should not take no more than 15 minutes. « Cat/Dog mess found in the room, not great!! »

Arrived and booked into a room that was not ready for a family. Had to be moved to another room and wait for housekeeping to then arrive to set up the sofa bed which impeaded our turn around time before going out for the evening. The morning after my son was playing with one of his toys near the dressing table and dropped a part of it down the L/H/S of the unit. As he retrieved the piece he had dropped put his arm is something which appeared to be cat/dog mess!!! This is disgusting and if you offer a pet friendly service the rooms should be throughly checked. He was distraught and we spent most of the day consoling him. I went to reception straight away and I have e-mailed the photographs to the hotel as requested by reception. The lady on check out was very apologetic and dealt with the issue in a professional manner. The room was refunded to which in my opinion is the very least that could have been done. The General Manager was unavailable on this day and I was assured I would get a follow up phone call when they return and to discuss further compensation as nothing else could be done without prior authorisation from the General Manager. The date of visit was 30/12/18. Needless to say I am still awaiting a phone call or e-mail. Very unprofessional for a major group like Accor not to follow up with a simple phone call or e-mail.

This is my second time to stay at Novotel. It is good and clean. The staff are friendly. There is only one annoying thing about the room is that toilet is separated from the sink. This is very inconvenient. Hope you can do something about it.

It is believed to replicate the first Novotel hotel which was built in Lille Lesquin, France in 1967. I believe that most of the hotels are starting to fade this out and quite possibly, our hotel may do the same.
