The room is poor because it was small and the view was a brick wall.I was in L'pool for a funeral and the staff were lovely and sympathetic, and went beyond to ensure my stay was as pleasant as possible.

« Clean but basic hotel »

We had to call reception because the bed for the 3rd occupant had not been made. There was building work even on Sunday morning and we were woken up by building waste being dumped into skips. Breakfast bread and pastries were just awful (all processed) Pool was ok but no bathrobes available and there was litter (plastic bags) on pool side

Everything was fabulous until I used the WC, no handwashing facilities not even a sanitizer machine, I find this unacceptable so would not be able to stop here again.

Broadly positive : friendly, helpful staff, decent breakfast, clean rooms and comfortable bed all up to usual Novotel standards. However, I had to point out a broken light fitting in the bathroom which I would have expected the cleaning service to have spotted (LED fitting hanging by a wire). That said, it was no sooner reported than repaired. Ditto with a slight problem over hot water (lack of) to the shower.

« Good but it would have been helpful to have clearer information about parking and the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. »

The stay was good, room comfortable and location is great. Unfortunately when we got up in the morning to have a shower, we found someone else's face wash in the shower and the remnants of blue soap also in the shower. Please note this survey is not working properly, as when I go to a later question 'Did you experience any problems' and select 'Yes' it defaults to 'Noise in your room' and cannot be changed. The problem was not noise in the room but unclean shower.

« Very comfortable room, lovely breakfast and conveniently situated in the city. »

My only complaint would be that there was a constant hum from, what I assume was, the air conditioning unit on the west side of the hotel. However, my colleague was on the other side of the hotel and had a very quiet room. I would not choose to stay in room 1117 again. The only other niggle was that the kettle switch was faulty and had to be held in the on position for it to boil. I did not consider this enough of a problem to advise the staff.

Escellent (brief) stay. Check in was speedy, friendly and I got a room upgrade! Room was excellent, everything worked and it was spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. Pleasant bar for an evening drink and breakfast the following morning was comprehensive and good quality. All in all it was a pleasure.

A very pleasant two night stay in Liverpool to visit the Terracotta Warriors. The hotel was very centrally located and despite being city centre it was quite. Staff were polite and friendly. The hotel was great value for money and we enjoyed eating out at the great selection of restaurants in the city.

Nice hotel but a little bit expensive. Nice rooms with a good view over the city. Didn’t eat breakfast as will all hotel chains breakfast is not cheap. You get a discount if you book the night before but still nearly £10 for breakfast is still not cheap.
