Short of staff in the lobby make our check in experience did not smooth. Wait around 30 minute to check in. there were only 2 staff in receptionist and no bell boy (they said all bell boy went to airport) thus we have to carried our luggage to our room. More over one of the card is not functioning while we swept it to the room. Luckily we booked for 2 rooms and my parent able to wait at my room before the engineer and officer came for 3 times still the card broke down then we ask to move to another room. overall my parents have to wait around 45 mins to enter their room and rest. The tv satelite also blurry and after the engineer fix it then we can enjoy it.

But we provide security that can help you to carry the lugage. « Imagine the safety of guests when the power outage occured like the time I was staying there. »

Like being trapped in a building with no way to escape in a black out situation. Yet there was no slight explanation provided by the management, during and after the power outage.

I already booked non smoking but not available when check in, I still asked the non smoking and finally got the " non smoking" (but I am not sure, because there is an ashtray in the room). The floor, the bedsheet, the towel are not clean (stained, yellow and red spot) it seems they didnt cleaned the floor and changed the bedsheet before. the bathroom is ok, except the hairdryer is not ok, like vacuum cleaner). I felt didnt booked Ibis hotel which usually have good reputation and quality.

Star hotel category while services is worse than Melati hotel. There was no toothbrush and and towels. The Receptionist and housekeeping team informed that the hotel ran out of towels and I had to wait until 8pm to get a towel....really bad

My recent stay with ibis was with 20 family members from Singapore. We tried to arrange an airport pick up but to no avail. However, we saw an ibis van at the property. Room was clean and stay was comfortable. Housekeeping was inefficient. Ibis hotel uses the wall mounted soap dispenser, for some reason soap dispenser was left with no soap. What i find most unacceptable and disappointing was the inavailability for hangers. We are at ibis for 5 nights, meaning we have lots of clothes. And we were in Semarang for a wedding therefor we need to keep our clothes prepped. We had requested for hangers, but only received the wooden type with no hooks to hang with. There was even no plastic hangers provided either. Breakfast on our last day 15 August 2018 was located in the PH due to “upgrades in the reataurant”. However, I understand that the hotel was prepping the restaurant for an event instead. We rented vehicles for our stay but carpack was limited, there was valet service signboard but no one stationed in front. We had to go over to receptionist to request valet. Ibis simpang lima is part if Accor group of hotels but Channel News Asia was not available as advertised in Singapore. To summarise, room was clean and comfortable, but the lack of hospitality for a week’s stay definitely will not make me want to stay with ibis hotel simpang lima again.

I found my bed good for me to rest a whole night. No back pain. It just the towel quality a bit fade colour. I am wondering if the towel can be improved. Good service as well from recepcionist and other staff.
