« THE WORST FRONT DESK EXPERIENCE EVER »

My team and I were staying at Ibis SImpang 5, for business trip purpose. We even held the recruitment for our company at Ibis Hotel simpang 5. Since our recruitment process took longer than the initial plan, we decided to extend over a night at Ibis SImpang 5 Hotel. we booked via travel agent from our company (WITA TOUR), and it was confirmed that the book had done since we received the voucher from our travel agent. but when i tried to extend my room key, the receptionist said they haven't received the voucher from hotelbeds (Hotelbeds is WITA tour Vendor) yet, so i couldn't extend. but my subordinates could because they received the vouchers already for Mr Guntari and Mrs Galuh i had to wait like 5 HOURS, coming back and forth from meeting room to receptionist just to confirm if they have my voucher already. and on 5.45 PM until 19.00 i waited on the receptionist, standing, hoping they can figure my reservation. and i became not only second but probably 20th priorities, since they haven't recieved my voucher. The receptionist call the person who responsible to recieve the voucher. His name was PRADANA, or i call him Mas Dana, Mas dana was insist that they haven't recieved the voucher, and ask me to wait more and without any solution he left me stranded on the receptionist. desperately waiting for more than an hour standing, i asked the receptionist to call back Mas Dana and I asked for initiate email from my Travel agent. at first they refused to show me the voucher, and i Insisted to see the voucher, when i read on the voucher I saw that my travel agent was booked 3 Rooms under 2 names. 1 Mr Dwi Guntari (2 Rooms, 1 bed) 2. Mrs. Galuh (1 Room, 2 Beds) in total there were 3 rooms booked. so I Figured that my subordianate (the one who successfully extended her room) was approved because her name is there,and the receptionist extend her room. but me, Im not that lucky, i had to wait FOR HOURS, JUST BECAUSE HOTELBEDS FAILED TO PUT MY NAME ON THE VOUCHER AND PRADANA IS TOO NEGLIGENT TO READ THE VOUCHER CAREFULLY, at least be a little more proactive! there are 3 room reservation, if you already released the other 2, where would the 3rd one go? I understand that my name wasn't mentioned on the voucher and you can't let me check in. But i recon, MRs GALUH checked in UNDER Guntari's reservation which supposed to be my reservation, and they let her in. and you booked another room under Mrs. Galuh and expect for her arrival mean while she was already having a nice warm showering in her room. I have the evidence of the reservation from the initiate email sent by hotelbeds. same complaint goes to WITA TOUR for not being go through with the detail. And for Ibis Hotel Bintang 5 Staff, please pay attention more to the detail, you even put my check out date wrong! it was 9 of October instead of 6 of October and yes i Changed my stay at the other hotel afterwards.

Mall are nearby, plenty street foods, clean and spacy rooms even there is some spots in the hotels that need renewal, seems old. The location is good, I think the building needs renovation, and service was okay. The thing is I came to the Hotel around 8 o’clock, and the receptionist told me there will be an extra charge for checking in early. I mean I came all the way to the city, and I just need to do a little wash wash before I go out again.

« Great place, weird security measures »

I love the place, the room is lovely, the view is great, and the facilities is also great and the staff are all lovely, although the security measures are a bit weird. I stayed in this hotel with a fried that had a different floor than I did, and I wanted to go to his room, but can't as the elevators can only respond to the floor your room card is on. I didn't like that idea. I think it's better for anyone that has purchased a room and has a room card to have access to any floor in the hotel in case of situations like this. Other than that, overall it was okay.
