« The Sofitel always delivers but this time it delivered even more »

From the moment that we were picked up at Mumbai airport at 4am, to the moment that we left the hotel at 11pm four days later, we experienced unparalleled service. This included the limousine ride from the airport, the express check-in on level 14 and then on to the rooms and meals. Everything was done efficiently and with friendly service. A local SIM card - no problem, the concierge arranged from the from their lobby desk. He already had a copy of my passport page so an application was made and a few hours later a local Vodafone SIM card was active. This allowed us to use Uber in Mumbai as we had both a local phone number and data. Thank you for this. Our first breakfast on level 14, started with specific strength café lattes and soft poached eggs on wholemeal toast. The next morning we were asked if we wanted the same coffees. After one breakfast, the Millesime Manager (Merwyn) had remember our preferences and the drinks were perfect - strong English breakfast tea with fresh cold milk and two café lattes, one with an extra shot of expresso. Everything was perfect! This level of service is not accidental. It takes training and effort but when it is carried out with a warm friendly smile, it is really special. While on the subject of the level 14 lounge, a big thank you to Veena and Anuj for providing extra special service. Veena is only 20 years old but we learnt a bit about her and her family. I hope that we also made Veena's working day more enjoyable by giving her encouragement and respect. Anuj kept us supplied with good cocktails and local red wines and although fairly shy on his first day with us, opened up his personality once he got to know us a bit more. Another special staff member was Anuja ( I hope that the spelling is correct). She was the room manager for level 6. She was a little bit older than Veena and was not a native of Mumbai. She was so friendly and obliging and I think that the Mumbai Sofitel is in good hands for the future. My final thanks goes to the Director of Rooms, Mr Parag Shah who arranged a late, late check-out of our room due to a delayed flight. Even after checking out of our room, we were able to stay in the comfort of the lounge on level 14. I really appreciate the extra effort shown to Accor platinum members. It seems like a two way arrangement. We show loyalty to the Accor brand and in return Accor hotels show loyalty back to us.

Junior Suite Rooms were absolutely fantastic and reaallllyy lavish!! The services and the quality of food was excellent too!!Main shortcommings were the lack of a standardized process for AccorPlus checkins, food was not replenished and even if asked for, were run out of from the very beginning sometimes. Also the absolute same buffet options which was a real let down and not enjoyable if more than one night. Breakfast had really less non veg and dessert options and sometimes not cooked or stored well.

Mumbai is a harsh reality when travelling from one of the most beautiful airports in the world. Arriving at Sofitel is like finding serenity; not only the luxurious design, but also the sincere welcoming smile from the staff. The effortless check-in, the pridefulness of the person showing one's beautiful decorated room. The bartender of le Bar mixing the perfect French 47 coctail, The interaction of the cooks during dinner and Nagesh's attention to detail serving food in the room. An experience; not just a stay. Sofitel keeps impressing me (Aswan, Aukland, Philadelphia). This time it surpassed itself.

Good hotel , location is not far from Airport ,room is very good ,staff is Ok but they can do more than this current.i have a bit problem on when i returned . I did not see any apologiing word . But other things were Ok ,excepted service mind.
