Handy location with safe parking. Clean and comfortable room. Did not use the pool as it was in a very strange location away from the main hotel and overlooked by the adjoining restaurant.

A pleasant stay with a couple of minor niggles. There was a constant noise that sounded like a door or window banging. Because of poor French, I did not feel I would be able to explain the problem to reception staff. On the last evening a member of reception staff came to my room to ask about noise, which another guest had complained about. Unfortunately, whilst she was in the room no noise was heard! On the Monday I was out of the hotel from about 10.00 until 14.30. On my return the 'please make up my room' sign was still on the door. Housekeeping staff were in the corridor and in my poor French I indicated I was from room 111 and would go away for a short while. I went down to reception, had a drink and read my book for 30 minutes. On return the housekeeping staff had just started on the room and so I went away for another 15 minutes to allow her to finish. This meant that the room was not ready until about 15.20 - really quite late. I appreciate that a number of guests had left the hotel that morning, but I would expect rooms to be done more quickly.

Bad point - wi-fi was difficult to connect to, we weren't the only residents who had to enquire at reception Good - we upgraded and the room (124 ?) was exceptional, spotlessly clean, really comfortable, great size and wow, what a bathroom ! Convenient location, very good service and care to the needs of the guest. One problem: The welcome drink was good for one person, the room was booked for two persons. It would be more respectful not to give any welcome drink if the Group can afford only one drink. The personnel offered gracefully to give the second coupon, I have very much appreciated the gesture but I declined it. Otherwise, very pleasant stay.

On arrival, the receptionist was very nice and efficient. Our room was quiet and comfortable. All the members of staff were most helpful and kind, especially when I was became unwell suddenly and they called an ambulance for me. Fortunately the probkem was not serious and I was able to go back to your very good hotel.

« New rooms are nice, but Wi-Fi is terrible »

Nice new privilege room, with minibar offered. The WiFi is completely unacceptable because it forbids access to securely connected site (e.g. my professional webmail access page) as well as Whatsapp and Skype. It is really top much to ask to keep in touch with one's family while being on a business trip over Wi-Fi connections? It got also a bit awkward when on the third night of my stay I notice that the minibar wasn't filled up again. Upon calling the receptionist around 23h when I was back in my room, the answer was that this was common policy in all hotels (I stayed last year 80+ nights in Accor hotels), which is a plain lie. The receptionist sent then the lady doing the bar to my room with a plateau of drinks offered. Nice gesture but very irritating behaviour before. The fact that the welcome drink can no longer be used at the courtepaille restaurant also seems as a useless limitation, in any case it saved me and my colleague a meal in this restaurant (we didn't go, which we used to do upon arrival on Monday night). Sadly the changes since my last stay didn't improve things. Also it would be nice to have a small gym in the hotel.
