« A one night stay »

The bed was comfortable and even though our room (123) was facing the main road, is was very quiet. The bathroom was quite nice but a tight fit and the the bottom of the door looked rotten. It’s possible that we got a room reserved for one or two night stays only. The decor was very bland, (white and grey) There was an open type wardrobe with a few hangers and shelves, a desk with tea and coffee making fascilities on, an orange plastic chair and a T.V. We didn’t know that we had to pay for parking till we arrived at the hotel.

« Exorbitant, unrefundable price for no-frills room »

The price of over £150 for one night in a plain single room (one double bed, no breakfast) was well over double what I later found elsewhere, but because the booking was unrefundable I had to lump it. There was no fridge/minibar, the walls were thin enough to hear people in neighbouring rooms talking, and the shower temperature fluctuated wildly.

« Great just what I needed »

It was ok for 1 night. The room was clean but every time you walked across it the floor boards moved making quiet a noise. Not very good for going to the loo in the night.

Had a bed and a shower. That was all that was required Bed was a bit hard and pillows were too thin. The extra pillows did not have pillowcases so we could not use them

« Sub-par to previous Ibis hotel's I've stayed at in UK »

Whilst the room and bathroom was clean, the room had the residual musk left from it probably being a smoking room in the past. The twin beds were extremely narrow, the bathroom didn't have any hand soap (had to go and buy some), the breakfast offer was okay and most of the staff were friendly and happy to help. It's not the worst place I've stayed but it is in need of a modern renovation.

We do supply a multi use gel in the bathrooms as we are a planet 21 hotel trying to reduce single use plastics and disposables and we are always happy to give you more gel if needed. I am pleased you liked the breakfast and the staff and we are planning a refurbishment at present so hopefully your next stay will be much improved. The hotel was generally very nice and the staff were friendly. However, we did encounter some issues such as there not being a toilet brush and being able to hear people in the room next door snoring, but overall we enjoyed our stay and would return. Check in was great, arrived at 2pm and was seen too quickly. I arrived at my room and tried to open the window as it was incredibly stuffy and had a bad smell. No windows opened and they were soaked with condensation. Tried to use the air-con/heating and it did not work. My friends came to visit my room and noticed mould on the walls and how horrible the air was. In their room the windows did open but no air-con or heating. I mentioned to staff about the issue and was quickly moved floor to a room with windows I could open but no heating/aircon. At night I was incredibly cold and had to wear my jacket over my clothes to keep warm. In my friends hotel room their heating system had exposed wires which you could view in plain sight. Overall this was a poor experience.
