« deception »

poor accomodations; broken ar condicioner; vanished and old towers; a real deception for me. changed room but there was another problem in the second one: 220 v wallet plug did not work and I almost lost my time because my cell phone has not charged. no 220v plug beside both beds, just beside one bed.

« Comfortable and above average among the Ibis hotels in Brazil. »

This hotel has a different environment from the other Ibis hotels I usually stay at. Right across from the beach, the hotel has friendly staff, a nice restaurant with sea view, unfortunately with no dinner service, but overall it is a very pleasant hotel to stay. Elevators are bit old and slow, so this should be something to be aware of.

« As excellent as always »

Our three days this week at Ibis João Pessoa were excellent. The room was fine and the air conditioning good. The service from the staff was lovely. Just one problem was the breakfasr on the first morning where there seemed to be a member of staff missing and so at time there were not enough plates or serviettes and the tables were not cleared quickly. But the staff eventually sorted it out. This was the only hitch. The rest was wonderful. I wouldn't go to any other hotel.

« FIxed my problem of not being able to find a room saturday night in João Pessoa. »

I was suprised to find out that the price did not include a morning breakfast as is usual in Brazilian hotels. So, my stay ended up being 20% more expensive than I first thought. Besides that, I found the minibar at the room empty. Very late at night, I ended up having to drink from tap water. Finally, I was asked to pay for my stay in advance, which is not what usually happens in Brazilian hotels. Otherwise, the stay was good.

« Great service »

It's hard to tell whether the congeniality of the staff in João Pessoa was on account of the traditional hospitality of the city or of the training they received. I realized it was for both reasons when I noticed that everyone, including the ever thoughtful cleaning persons, smiled and greeted me — and one could tell it was not "automatic". I should also tell you that I have been in many different Ibis around the world, but I have never experienced a better breakfast than the one in João Pessoa. Good variety of fruits, carbs and (tasty, local fruit) juices. Moreover, the eatary was a nice place to meet people, talk or work. That standard should be followed by every other Ibis. « One of the worst staying experience »

It was an awful moment whe we realized that our bed covers were blood dirty. We understood that covers are not usually changed for clean ones from one guest to another and that was a really bad feeeling. Yet, the receptionist of the shift was kind and promptly changed the bed linen. I took some pictures of the bloody sheets and kept them with me.

The hotel presents some small problems that, altogether, afeccts the customer experience. For instance, the bathroom lights, the switch of the air conditioners in the walls is not accurate and turns off in time to time. This is regrettable.

« Dirty rooms and shower »

The pros: great breakfast, good front desk. The cons: terrible cleaning. Lots of dust in the room. Too old towels, need immediate replacement. Bathrooms smells bad, every day. It seems that there is communication between bathrooms, which brings the terrible smell. In general, very bad experience.

The hotel is out of date, with equipments like air conditioning not working as expected, rooms with bad smell due to mold. The breakfast is the worst experience, on the last one I found a hair on the egg portion and fly on the fruit salad.
